  1. Unfortunately, i think they are all scammers.... they ask for your email so they can send you the scam link on the email. I have a gig online , few days, and i received like 3 4 scam attemps DAILY. I just hope I can tell when the first real buyer asks me for information and I don't mistake them for yet another scammer. The funny thing is that I started playing along, dragging it out as long as possible, saying I didn't understand what I needed to do, giving them fake email addresses and saying I didn't receive anything, or asking for useless details, in the hope of reducing their daily earnings and hoping they'll move on to somewhere else
  2. Thank you, Lena, for your very clear message. I know that Fiverr does everything to ensure the complete safety of its community, and that scammers are always looking for new ways to trick people and bypass checks and security. For your information, here’s what led me to think it wasn’t a scam: - the request came directly from Fiverr’s DM system, i received as a normal message inside the Fiverr legit website. - The buyer told me she needs my email because my account was not verified, that's how i received the scam link. Unfortunately it was my first order and I don’t know the procedure. - The website link and layout was "acceptable," fiverr dot autodirect dot website. Also no matter what I clicked in the website, it redirected me to the real Fiverr site and every link led to the correct page. - Not having being told to be careful, by the mean that in my mind it was almost impossible to being scammed when asking for a payment... What raised my suspicions: - at first the generic request, "I'll pay you first, then I'll tell you what to do." - The urgency, repeated to the point of annoyance, but this is was also a double-edged sword because, not finding an immediate way to contact fiverr or verify if it was genuine, in panic I might have clicked and entered sensitive information to avoid the ban or suspension the scammer told me i could face. - Lastly, the request for credit card details to receive a payment, that was a very big red flag for me. Thank you so much for your support!
  3. This that I posted was a very well-constructed scam, I imagine many people could fall for it. Yes, I would like Fiverr to know about this and try to prevent from happening. I assume it's standard practice for Fiverr NOT to ask for credit card details to receive payments, if this information alone is clearly communicated, it could save many people from this and other scams.
  4. I opened my seller account yesterday and have already received two DANGEROUS scam attempts. Is this normal? What is Fiverr doing to prevent such scams? How can i protect from others? Honestly, I didn’t fall for the second one just because I work in banking and am a very cautious person, but please, BE CAREFUL!!!! Here's the attempt so you guys can protect from further
