  1. Okay, I'll contact customer service, and see if they can do anything.
  2. I have recently seen that one of the two orders I have done is marked as canceled. This was done on the buyer's end, and only because some of his plans fell through and he didn't need my services anymore. Is there any way I can let it be known that this was mutual and not my fault.
  3. Thanks for the advice on putting Thanks for the advice. What sucks is that the gig I was working on before was also done without them contacting me. It was the first time that happened to me.
  4. I'm currently working on a project for my highest tier. This morning, I woke up to see that somebody else has requested another gig without consulting me first. I'm not saying for sure that I can't finish both, but it would be very difficult for me. Should I tell the new buyer to cancel until I'm done with my old gig? Or would it not be worth the cancellation? How should I tell him?
  5. Okay thanks. The order seems legitimate, so I'll see what I can do.
  6. I guess. It's just that I've had an experience with somebody with a profile like that. He cancelled as soon as I delivered, refused to tell me why he wasn't satisfied with it, and I'm pretty sure he just wanted to copy what I wrote without paying. And this is something bigger and I don't want to work so hard and have it all be for nothing.
  7. Somebody just put in a request to buy one of my services, without asking me. Right out of the blue. Looking through his profile, he seems sketchy. He has no profile picture, and has a lot of five star reviews that pretty much read the same, and seem bot-like. What do I do?
  8. Okay, another update. I've sent the product, and he refused to take it, and cancelled. So I guess good riddance to him. Anyway, thank you all for the advice.
  9. Hello. I just got an update. He sent me a message saying I should just send it so we can move on. Should I do it?
  10. I'm currently in a gig with a buyer, who requested that I write a recap of a movie. I've written it, but I've sent him a Google Drive link to a rough draft so that he could look it over, so he could suggest any changes before I sent it. (In hindsight, this was probably a stupid decision.) But now, he's saying that he doesn't approve of it, and isn't clear in telling me what's wrong with it. He says I have to rewrite it completely, because it's like "a bad haircut", and "trying to fix it would make it worse." Even though the gig says I could do it in ten days, we agreed to five days, because it was supposed to be a short write-up. I turned it in two days ago, so I have three days left. The buyer says I either rewrite it, or cancel. But I'm worried he'd just use the rough draft and he just doesn't pay me. I don't think I can do the whole thing over again, without even knowing what I did wrong. I'd prefer to cancel, but then he wins if this actually is a scam. I've just set the Google Doc page to private, but I don't know if he's already copied it. I've considered sending the to him anyway, but then he'd just write me a negative review, which is going to stay on my account longer than if I just cancelled it. Which will hurt, because I haven't gotten much business or ratings. Is there anything I can do besides cancel? And please keep the "You shouldn't have sent the draft" to a minimum.
  11. I'm thinking of cancelling, but waiting until tomorrow to see if the website will do anything first. And it looks like he just made the custom offer without consulting me first. And just for the record I did tell him multiple times that I would not start until he placed an order. And the method you just described to report is how I reported the inappropriate messages, and I was just worried that the gig wouldn't be called off if I didn't report the full profile.
  12. A few days ago, the a buyer came to me with a task. My gig says I can complete the task in ten days, but he said that since it was a small task, we can cut it down to five days, and I agreed to that. But after that, he's been acting weird, telling me to complete it before he even places the order. I told him that I will not start until he orders it, so he did today. But when he did place the order, the duration was listed as two days instead of ten. With some of the comments he made afterwards, it appears that he somehow changed the duration, and justifies this length by saying that he asked three days ago, despite not placing an offer. I've tried to report him, but his channel is missing a report button. Since then, he's been sending me threatening messages in my personal chat, about how my page would be affected by not completing this task. I've reported some of his messages, but I'm not sure if that will cancel the gig. I've contacted customer support about this, and am waiting for a response but I'm still very worried about this. I'm afraid that if I cancel or get an extension, he will leave a review that hurts my page. Is there anything I can do now? Should I just cancel his order?
