  1. I've started a new gig where I do translations/transcribing from English to Jamaican or vice versa. I did my first order where I was required to voice over a short script for an Ad from English to Jamaican. It went well and the buyer was very pleased. I charged $5 for 2 days (but she chose extra quick at $10 for 1 day). But now I'm wondering if I should charge more seeing as I'm "selling my voice". Or should I wait a little further until my gig is more established? Any advice/suggestions out there from the forum community?
  2. Why do people on the forum react without reading? This is just out of curiosity. I've noticed that if I upload a post and make several comments on it, sometimes I'd find a few people reacting to everything within the same minute. This leads me to believe that they didn't even bother reading. So why do they do this exactly? I don't see any real benefits for them doing it.
  3. With the rise of private reviews, I'm beginning to think that public reviews are now overrated seeing as they are optional. And I'm sure that's exactly what most buyers are thinking. This doesn't really sit well with me as a seller as I can't read a buyers mind to know whether he/she is actually satisfied with the work. Like you said, one of the purpose of private feedback is for buyers to leave a more honest review ANONYMOUSLY. So if a buyer wants to remain anonymous, maybe Fiverr should consider censoring out the buyer's name and make that review (not necessarily public, but) visible to the seller after each evaluation period.
  4. I was just about to ask this as a question. Can private reviews be made after a cancellation is given?
  5. I agree with that. But even if they create a second account, that's against fiverr's terms of service. So reporting them should likely solve that.
  6. So far for my time on Fiverr, I've only had 2 buyers that I had a bad time working with. I even refuse to work with them again in the future. So, I just simply block them from contacting me anymore. But I'm curious to know what exactly displays on their end after I've blocked them. Can anyone here share any snapshots of what would be shown?
  7. Hi again Smash Radio, I contacted customer support regarding my issue and they stated that the buyer can use the sample/revisions even after cancellation. I'm not sure if that was a mistake. or I'm reading it wrong. Do you think perhaps he meant that buyers are able to download them?
  8. Was that for me or for ongmo? And what should be reported?
  9. I too was facing a similar issue. It's like these buyers are becoming more and more scammer like.
  10. Yes exactly. Initially he stated that he wanted a remastered instrumental or a recreation. And I'm pretty sure a recreation is recreating something based of the original source but not necessarily accurate to the original. After he placed his order and I sent him couple samples it's as if he's now saying he wants it exactly as how it was done in the original (and nothing else except that), which is a completely different argument. Therefore, I'm not going to cancel my order. I gave him great work, very quick service and I lost a lot of sleep working on his order. He's just too ungrateful and too much of perfectionist to be satisfied. In terms of the negative impact which cancelling an order would pose on my account, I assume getting a negative review would rival with that. Most likely I'll get a negative review, but so be it. At least I'll get paid for the work I did
  11. Thanks for all your information and speedy response. I'll get back to you if I've got more questions
  12. Actually, I decided to continue. But the next day (which is today), he's the one who now wants to cancel the order. Seeing as how you explained that he will still be able to download and have access to the revisions, I'm convinced that this was his plan all along to cancel and use his revisions for free. That's a scam if you ask me. Even though you mentioned the buyer has no rights to use those files, how will Fiverr know that he had violated those terms? He stated that he wanted me to make an instrumental version from a Japanese song so that he could do an English cover of it. So let's say he use one of my revisions and records his song then uploads it to YouTube, how will Fiverr know that he used it? A follow up question, I've never cancelled my order before. So how will cancelling hurt my business?
  13. A buyer is requesting too much than what he originally bargained for before placing his order. He's too much of a perfectionist and it's driving me frustrated. I did several reviews for him and there's always something additional he wants. I'm thinking that I should just cancel his order. But if I do so, would the revisions I left him be accessible to him? Because he could still have use for the work I've done even though he claims that it's not what he wanted.
  14. I completed an order in 2020 and the song that I worked on is now in my gig's gallery. How do I remove it? I'm not seeing an option to remove it in the "edit gig" portal.
