  1. good advice I used to be at the very top, my gigs were showing up first in many searches and I had 4 or 5 orders a day average, and tons of potential buyers asking questions about my gigs every single day, I would wake up in the morning and have 5 to 10 messages and I was making a good income, then I decided to make my gigs better to increase my orders, I paused some of my gigs for a few days, and once one of my new gig was ready I made the mistake of deleting my top selling gig to replace it with my new one, but I lost all the reviews, after I did that my ranking tanked to the absolute bottom. In the span of a few days, I switched from many gigs a day to absolutely ZERO, no messages, nothing, my fiverr account is dead like it doesn't even exist. Before this I almost had a hard time to keep up with orders and sometimes I incresed prices because I had too many orders, and now I have ZERO. I don't understand this, I hope I will climb back up but it might take months I guess, it was a very drastic change in the span of a few days...
  2. it looks like yahoo answers no longer exists? https://www.theverge.com/2021/4/5/22368488/yahoo-answers-shutdown-may-4-internet-era-over-rip
  3. thank you! you mean I can post links to my gig in quora or yahoo in order to promote them?
  4. hello there, for personal reasons and for taking time to improve some of my gigs, I put 3 of them on pause for a few days. After I reactivated them I found that I was never getting any order... so several days later I tried to type "new york" or "london" in the search, as when I did this before my gigs where immediately pretty much number 1 in the results. Now I have to go several pages before finding ANY of my gigs. 3 of them used to be marked by fiverr as "recommended". I used to have 4 or 5 orders a day, and I used to get many many messages from potential buyers asking questions, when I woke up each morning I had about 5 to 10 messages from fiverr potential buyers. All this went out of the window after I paused the gigs for just a few days, I am now getting absolutely ZERO orders (I only got 2 recently from old buyers who sometimes come back so they already knew me). How is this possible and also is there a chance my ranking will go up again? I used to make about 1000 dollars a month, now I make nearly zero, and here I was thinking to improve my gigs and make more, I got the opposite result...
  5. that is the issue, the first experience was not bad, the buyer told me the video was good and he liked it, and YET I got a bad review, I think you nailed the point though , the bad review was not for the bad quality of the work, it was because of his ego being hurt about me blocking him. Anyway I can ignore his messages if that's what you meant but I can't prevent him from ordering again and send 100 modification requests and then get a bad reviews even once he says he is now happy about it, the only known way I have to prevent it is to block the buyer
  6. thank you!! finally someone who understands me! yes, I guess after years of only 5 stars reviews (thousands of them) , getting a bad review is inevitable, it's just that it's the first one for me so that's why I am so annoyed by it
  7. and that's what I usually do indeed, but (and I am sure everyone had the same experience at least once) after thousands of orders I got a buyer who is a true pain and I do not want him to order from me again, he can literally place an order and then keep submit a revision request forever, if a buyer is a true nightmare to work with, disrespectful, unrealistically demanding and frankly speaking even a bit crazy, why is it so incredibly wrong to block him? I can say him to not order from me again yes, but do I want him to still order, send modification requests forever and then send me a bad review because I want to charge him for the 50th revision? and I repeat again, the buyer in this case answered he was happy with the video and I STILL got a bad review even after he finally said the delivery was good
  8. no, although you are right by saying the buyer never left a feedback for days, he also clearly stated to me the job was completed and good... so I waited a few days to see if he still wanted changes, and when I thought I was sure he didn't then I blocked him as I didn't want him to place another order to make me work for free again. So my question now becomes... if you don't want to work with the same buyer again and the buyer never leaves a review then you can really never block the buyer because if you do he'll get upset and then go leave a bad review? what would the solution be then to avoid the buyer placing another order and give you hell again?
  9. hello sellers, so I have a gig with 400 5 stars reviews, now the gig is simple i just make a mokup of an image provided by the buyer into the AD of the tube station in london in a video, therefore the buyer already sees the video and the image is what they send me, so it's not really anything "creative", now this buyer kept sending me a modified version of their image, so I kept redoing the gig, once the buyer was happy I made the video and the buyer was ok with it. After several days, since the buyer had said they were good with it finally after endless revisions and free work, I blocked the buyer because I never wanted to work with them again as it's simply not worth earning $10 for all these additional free work they requested. The day after I blocked them they left a 1 star review claiming I blocked him. Now, I have thousands of 5 stars reviews, and I NEVER had a 1 star review so this brought down my rating from 5 stars to 4.9 stars... how can I resolve this? I contacted customer service asking to remove the review but I already know they will not, and about 3 years ago I was trying to resolve the situation with the buyer offering many more free services in exchange of deleting the feedback and fiverr restricted my account for a month, so even trying to resolve the situation with the buyer is not an option if I ask to delete the review in exchange of doing whatever he wants and even offering more for free. If I offer a cancellation, the buyer accepts it and gets a refund, will the 1 star review go away or will it remain?
  10. hello there, I used to get about 2 or 3 orders per day average, sometimes less but it was a good constant flow. About 2 weeks ago I went on holiday and could bring a computer, so I set my status as "not available" on fiverr for about 4 days, after I reactivated my account I now get absolutely ZERO orders, in over one week I got ONE order, where I used to get many, many more. Does setting the "not available" status make you lose visibility? if so I will be very careful about doing so from now on...
  11. I live in Canada and I am trying to change the account where I receive fiverr payment, the company I am using has 2 different receiving accounts in US, one for money sent from the US and a different one from USD sent from outside of the US, so I was wondering if anyone knew where does fiverr payments come from? the US or outside of the US in case I am located outside of the US? (Canada in my case), thank you
  12. hello there, in most of my gigs I digitally add the buyer's content on billboards videos that I filmed myself. So basically I filmed the video, then in visual effects I add the buyer content on the billboard in the video. Because I filmed the video myself, I am the owner of the copyright, and I do not allow my videos to be used for reselling , just as advertisement of products etc... I find though that once in a while someone on fiverr are using the same exact video I did to resell my gig (basically a very ugly copy of my own gig, with lower quality but the exact same gig). Is there anything I can do? this is obviously a copyright infringement so something should be done, no? thanks
  13. yes exactly, besides the fact that fiverr already keeps 20% of the payments, now they even added $2 which can be ok on a $50 order, but adding $2 out of a $5 orders it means it’s an astonishing 40% fee. The seller (us) only get $4 out of a $7 payment, this is nearly half. Now this could even be ok, but I did notice a big drop in my sales after they have implemented this $2 fee. I really hope that they remove it or at least they make it proportional to the amount a gig is paid, adding a 40% extra fee is extremely unreasonable
  14. hello, I was wondering if anyone else experienced a drop in sales after fiverr added the $2 fee for each order. Now for someone to order a $5 gig they have to pay $7. Fiverr might make the same amount of money: less orders are compensated by more money thanks to the additional fee, but sellers make a lot less. Anyone else thinks this was a really bad idea? the fee should be at least proportional to the order value, like a percentage, so if someone orders a more expensive gig they pay a higher fee but if they order a $5 gig they should definitely not pay a 40% fee, this is crazy. Buyers pay $7 and sellers make $4.
  15. I agree with yoogle you should have cancelled the gig to get rid of the review, i only have 100% positive reivews so one review would ruin my rating, therefore I would rather cancel one gig (if it ever happens to me) and not make money other than having my ratings ruined 🙂
