  1. Skill tests give you more credibility, they do not influence your SERP ranking as far as I know.
  2. ⬆️ Achieving a fiverr level is an opportunity to reach a wider audience, in no way, shape, or form does it guarantee you more orders. You have to put in work, don't expect fiverr to babysit you.
  3. That was a wonderful interpretation, thank you! It has a political connotation as well, but it's quite subtle. You got the strength and calmness combination perfectly. Your piece is lovely! The gold coating gives it this luxurious feeling, and the texture makes the painting dynamic and interesting. I bet it looks great on your walls 😊 Great illustration! Reminds me of some illustrations of my coursemate, her works are very delicate and detail-oriented and she also loves to draw various scenes with cartoon characters or characters that she thinks of herself.
  4. This was the case for me as well. People do tend to spend more in holiday season, but your earnings in said season also depend on the service one offers.
  5. Great topic! Hope to see more creations here 😊 Here's a painting I did in 2020, titled "river flows in you"
  6. Tattoos has always been an interesting subject to me. I have a few myself and I love seeing beautiful tattoos made by professional artists. However, more often than not, people tend to cheap out on tattoos. They wake up one day, decide they want huge angel wings on their back and go to the cheapest tattoo artist they can find, who has no license, no qualifications and no regards for sterile instruments. I always tell people that they should think about their tattoos for some time and save up before they decide to get it. Tattoos are not cheap and if they are, they will probably get a lot more expensive when one decides to remove or cover them up after looking in the mirror. I remember, when I got my first tattoo, I was waiting in the waiting room and a woman came to reception asking to book an appointment with. After a lengthy conversation, the tattoo artist did not agree to book an appointment as he deemed the tattoo idea to be unprofessional. I was pleasantly surprised, and at that point I knew for sure that I was in good hands with my tattoo. I think that's how it should be. Yes, you can argue that it's client's money and they can do whatever they want with it, but I think that as a professional tattoo artist, one has certain responsibilities when it comes to modifying other people's bodies.
  7. ⬆️ You increase your forum rank by being a productive member on the forum. But since you're asking this question, I doubt it's on your list.
  8. You're not 12 hours active. You're wasting 12+ hours a day doing nothing and expecting clients to flock to your profile. Your gig images go against almost every suggestion fiverr has for creating a professional gig image. This article is a good place to start: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/4410883326481-Gig-image-guidelines-Making-the-most-of-your-Gig-image?segment=seller
  9. Hi @frank_d, thank you for updating us. This makes sense. For me personally, the seller+ program is not worth it just yet. Not because the benefits do not justify the price, but because I know I would not be able to use my success manager to full potential at this moment. I have gig videos and additional gigs in production and I think it makes sense to ask for guidance once I have a strong foundation. However, if joining the program will separate me from fake sellers who shill reviews, falsify their identity and clutter the market with low-quality gigs from multiple accounts, I might consider joining.
  10. Like what? When someone posts a topic asking for help with a specific problem, you reply "Great. Thanks for share"?
  11. Let us know when you complete a 100. Until then, 🤫
  12. As @andywarburton mentioned, it really depends on the service. Some businesses are entirely seasonal and make most of their profits in holiday seasons.
  13. Generally, before the order is placed. Some of the red flags can be identified straight away, and some of them after further communication with a potential client. I've learned that in most cases, it's not worth proceeding with a client, who asks for a free sample. They will either try to avoid placing the order in the first place, cancel the order and get their money back, or they will be very demanding, ask for extra work and leave unsatisfactory reviews if the order manages to reach the feedback stage. I just reply to them (to not effect my inbox response rate) and block them. As @theratypist has mentioned, sometimes you cannot protect yourself from such clients when they place a direct order. These are more difficult cases, but in general, you want to look out for suspicious behaviour straight away when communicating with a potential client.
  14. Does anyone have Get Out of Jail Free card?

  15. That is one of the worst things you can do. I think, being able to articulate your position clearly and confidently as well as knowing how and when to say no are quite important traits to have in general. Every poor review can be a learning experience if you take your time to analyze the order from the beginning. Two months ago I received two poor reviews on the same day. It was so gut-wrenching I actually felt physically ill. I took some time to cool down, asked for advice on the forum and drafted a response. My response could be seen as harsh, but it was objective and to the point. After this trainwreck of an experience, I tried to analyze these orders further and understand what exactly was the biggest mistake on my part. I've learned that my gig seemed to encourage unrealistic expectations and I was not subtle enough when offering additional extras. I've changed my gig a lot since then and I tend to decline a lot more orders that I know can be problematic.
  16. Hi srennielsen, I can see that you've had a few orders recently - which is a good start! The only way you're going to earn money by just sitting around doing nothing is if you have long-term investments in the market, fiverr does not work that way. As far as I know, replying to 10 buyer requests everyday is absolute nonsense. It might be worth checking the BR tab every now and then, but you want to make sure that the requests you want to reply to are of high-quality and ask for something you can actually deliver. Yes. I've taken a look at your profile and your gigs. Profile: Your profile picture is off-center and cropped. Your "story in one line" under your photo is quite generic. People, who search for your gigs already know that you specialize in photoshop and illustrator. I would leave this information for your bio and use something more catchy or inviting as your moto, it can have an impact on your potential clients and is an important real estate space on your profile. Your profile description has a lot of unnecessary dashes that do not need to be there. Your skill tests tab shows that you barely passed your tests with low marks. I don't think it's worth showing these results on your profile as it puts you in a disadvantage among your competitors. Gig: I will only focus on your first gig. It's called "I will make a good logo". Right off the bat, this is not a good title for your gig. It's very vague, non-descriptive and short. Rather than using a generic adjective such as "good", it's better to use this space to describe the style, aesthetic, or technique of the logo you offer to design. The gig image is cropped and uninformative. One way you can change it is having 6 or 9 samples of your logo designs in one image. This way a potential client will immediately see what he's dealing with. Or even having one sample properly placed in the image would work too. It's the same with the description of the gig. The description is short, uninformative and way too informal, in my opinion. If I had to order a logo from you, I would have absolutely no idea what to expect. I don't see enough examples of your work and for me ordering from you would feel like a shot in the dark. I think it's worth it to invest your time in a bigger portfolio and show it in your gigs. FAQs on your gig are also helpful as they answer a lot of questions a potential client may have. Nowhere does it say that blindly responding to every single buyer request every day will boost your profile. If you cannot deliver a high-quality result, it will have the exact opposite effect.
  17. This might actually top everything that I have experienced on the forum. This is so absurd it's actually hilarious.

    As I'm messaging a moderator in private in hopes to report a spammer who is flooding the forum with their nonsense (and there doesn't seem to be another way to report a person rather than messaging a moderator), I get this message that I will attach below.

    @frank_d I'm sorry, you might have to wait 24 hours for my reply. 😄

    So how's everyone doing? How are the forum Conga Gods treating you today? 😄 @fiveroptic1  @mandyzines @vovkaslovesnyy  @zeus777 @smashradio @vickiespencer @lloydsolutions @newsmike @alphagev @maitasun @theratypist @mariashtelle1 @surajkartha @ahmwritingco

      Hi Gaju, hi everyone!!! 👋🙃

      Strangely enough, both the Conga Gods and the Rat Gods decided this time they would treat me well. 😳

      I wonder whether they're plotting or just chose to have mercy on me... 🤔😅

      I think I might have hit a limit on my limit, as I didn't seem to be able to reply to my own status update yesterday 😄

      @theratypist I bet this logo was made on fiverr 👀😄 I've also come to learn that There's also a Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa. Surely, all sorts of congregations must be happening there.

      @alphagev The Conga Rats© must be tired visiting so many posts here in the forum. 😄

      @surajkartha I posted 4 posts and sent 2 private messages.

      It surely feels like the new norm. Whenever the forum seems to be relatively quiet, you can expect a storm soon. 😄

      @lloydsolutions Could be. It feels a bit strange that private messages count as posts, at least in this particular instance.

      @zeus777 Good to hear!

      I'd love to visit Tokyo or travel to Japan in general some day.

      It's a never ending holiday season in the US, huh? 😄      While Halloween is not a national holiday here in Lithuania, many people here still like to dress in scary costumes and go out to party 😊

      @frank_d I will reply momentarily, thank you so much for you help in making this forum a better place 😊

      @mandyzines Same thing happened to me yesterday, could not even reply to my own status upade 😄

      You're keeping pigs? 😮 Or do they just come around occasionally to feed on your garden? 😄

      @ahmwritingco I Appreciate the hashtag 😄

      Yeah, the weather in Lithuania is also getting colder and the days are getting shorter. Time to prepare warm blankets and wool socks for those dark evenings.

      I bet the maritime climate of Philippines would be nice this time of year 😄

      "He's half the reason I want to move in. I remember her story in the Emoji Game of him buying her a legendary meal.

      Me licking sauce off my fingers and slurping my soup might ruin the romantic vibe of the next one, though. I think I'll get a big fat no from them. 😅" Hey, you never know if you don't try 😄😄

      @maitasun  Hey, Maita!

      That's nice to hear. 😄 You never know with these copyrighted©, trademarked™ ethereal beings, some days they bless you with a wholesome conversion and other days they just send this whole place straight to the abyss 😄

      @gajuseidi I can relate. I inherited talking to myself from my father's side of the family.

      We've wild hybrids of Russian razorback, Polynesian, and European pigs all over the forest, which is thick and extensive all around me. It's harvest season, so all of the wild fruit trees like guava and avocado are shedding. They'll go for those first, but will eat anything, really.

  18. Yes, it is. The client is not obligated to do so and may choose not to. Once again, they are not obligated to do so. I always message my clients after the delivery thanking them for the order and wishing them a good day. I don't have to, but I think it helps to show that their business is appreciated and they can contact me whenever they need help in the future.
  19. That's the first thing that crossed my mind while I was reading this post. I feel like a good definition of the term "hate speech" would be helpful if we are to have such harsh penalties for breaking those rules. I do not condone hate speech, but I'm a big fan of dark humor, satire, critique and parody, which some people would definitely associate with hate speech when it's convenient. To me, this post feels less like a reminder and more like a threat when we do not draw clear boundaries around those rules. Freedom of speech is not a toy that should be played with, if we are going to restrict it in any way, I think the terms of the rules should be crystal clear on what they mean and what they imply. Otherwise, one might get convicted for not calling Jane a five star hotel, as she identifies herself as such and demands one does too. There has already been similarly absurd cases like this in some parts of the world, and people did go to jail.
  20. I have recently received a review pointing out that I'm fluent in English. While it's a nice thing to hear, it highlights a huge problem with the platform as a whole. It shows that on fiverr the sellers' ability to properly communicate with the client about the project is almost like a bonus. 🤷‍♂️
  21. Huge congratulations! 🥳 I can say that for a new seller, your fiverr journey is truly inspiring. One day I shall join your company 😉
  22. Have you completed your initial delivery before the deadline? If so, the big red "being late" counter after the revision request does not mean anything. It is an annoying feature of the platform that fiverr just does not care to fix. It depends on the volume of orders that you have completed in the last 60 days. For me personally, order completion rate dropped to 98% and now it has recovered to 99%. It might have influenced my search standings, but what happens, happens. The buyer seems to be a hassle to deal with, so you have to decide. The ratings stay on the platform forever, while completion rate does recover over time.
  23. Blasphemy! The only religion we believe here in the FF is Conga.
  24. It's a great platform for advertising if you know how to use it. I myself have not tried it yet, but I know freelancers and small business owners who do take full advantage of this platform.
