  1. Already shared my opinion on earlier thread that value for money does not make any sense.

    1) Buyer should not start the order if he/ she feels that order value is high.

    2) I recently had a feedback of 4.7 with 4 star in value of delivery and tons of positive things in things that went well which contradicted this and buyer is still working with me.

    4) Value of money/ delivery is a very bad metric as it cannot be judged unless you give same work to different seller and then quantify the work provided. Even then, If I choose to keep my price higher regardless of whatever reason It is my choice and if buyer has agreed to pay that amount and gets exactly what is promised then it is value for money since he/ she agreed to start the order.

    PS:

    - I have a success score of 10. The new rating system is forcing down ratings, it should be natural and not forceful.

Once again, Fiverr's support team previously stated that a Terms of Service (TOS) warning may remain in the account permanently, but there is a possibility they might consider removing it. As indicated on my account issues page, the warning has been removed, and my account has been free of warnings for the past 2 months.

Okay, maybe the information I have that warning remains forever is maybe incorrect then.

My warning has been removed by Fiverr according to the 'account issues' page, as shown in the attached screenshot. Back in the day, Fiverr informed me that the warning is not permanent, and as you can see, they have removed it.

This is incorrect. Warning remains in the overview for the level system and it lasts for 30 days I think. Other than warning remains in your account for lifetime, this is my understanding.

  4. I have score of 10 but here is my input:

    1) Remove or change value for money:

    - I set a price which I feel is justified for the experience and expertise I bring. Buyer is unknown about the work that gets put behind the curtains nor has expertise on how it is done.

    - If the buyer thinks that price for the service required is high then he/ she should not start the order itself.

    - I think this forces seller to reduce the prices as we get directly compared to other gigs with lower prices and provide same services. However, prices are based on final quality that you would receive which cannot be quantified without asking 2 sellers to do exact same work.

    2) Success score to remain TRS which is 9 is high in my opinion and it should be 8. Same goes for rating, since the new rating system has come into effect it seems 4.7* is the new 5*. To remain TRS we need to have 4.7* which I think is not good.

totally agree - Pay Per Order, would be a lot more valuable to me than Pay Per Click (but guess which one makes more money for Fiverr?)

I know pay per click generates more money for fiverr. This is only my suggestion, because this ad is not a standard one where we can control on what happens with it. Overall my suggestion would be to do pay per order and then charge a fix commision on it if that offsets the overall click costs.

  6. To be honest, if you are not getting results you should turn it off.

But, in my opinion promoted gigs can get better and they should charge only when order is place through it ( can increase overall charge value ). Anyone saying it is like google, facebook ads then I beg to differ as in those you get control on who and what to show in your ads. In this we do not have any data on who saw the, where it is played, etc.

  7. Being a seller from several years, I do not think the information you have given is correct.

    1) Extending the delivery time before the delivery date DOES NOT MARK as Late Delivery
    2) Take enough amount of days before starting the order and I would suggest take few days extra to tackle unfortunate events.

    3) In case of buyer not responding, giving requirements after some days. Extend the delivery few days back itself and do not wait for the last 2-3 days to do it.

As an experienced seller I would suggest keeping a realistic delivery date where you deliver the quality work and complete it within that frame. If the order does not get completed within the timeframe given by you, then yes buyer can get mad and also report about it as ultimately time is money.

1 in 20 is a lot, should be 0 out of 20. There shouldn't be any mistakes. But again, to my point, people randomly leave reviews. It's been an issue on Fiverr for a very long time. It's not something new and I don't attribute this to the new system

I think you are missing a point here. 1 in 20 is a lot and people are against it but the new system could make it 1 in 5/10, meaning it would be worse than before. It should be better than before about the review system

Other than that buyer do not know how the level system, rating system works here so according to them 4 out 5 star is great. Take Amazon for example, A product rating of 4 star is considered great. So the thing is either fiverr has to lower the overall bar for seller levels or create more education for buyers, I think first option is achievable.

You are right, I also heard from some of my friends that fiverr provided them compensation against the chargeback. but they all are using Seller Plus accounts. so is it possible that fiverr gives compensation to sellers plus account users only?

Nope, I was compensated even before I had seller plus so I do not think that is the case. If they have changed something regarding that then I am not sure.

I understand but fiverr should have a solution for the chargeback, otherwise every buyer would get their money back after getting the work from the seller.

To be honest that is not the case, over the time I faced few chargebacks and even faced one recently for a order which was completed 2-3 months before. Fiverr has fought the case and won it over for me every time I faced this issue.

In your particular case, we cannot comment unless and until all the details of the specific order is revealed. Also fiverr does not take any guarantee for chargeback, they do fight the chargeback case for you but it is not guaranteed that you win.

In my YouTube Video Promotion gig, I just promote video in those amount of large or semi large groups and sub-groups in the social media platforms. I am not ensure any guarantee or not giving guarantee views, like and subscribe. I just written in my gig packages that permanent audience that means I just promote video in the real audience groups and sub-groups in the social media platforms. Not any fake work or audience that I providing. @catwriter @chronos_1

They have not banned you for fake views, like or subscribe. They have told you guaranteeing certain amount of views, likes, subscribe is not allowed, in the gig package info you have stated the number of of views you will get for user which is the guarantee they are talking about.

  12. The order completion rate is from last 60 days. It is very likely that one or more orders which you did went out of 60 day range which dropped the completion rate.

Most of the time AI tools are not better than what people would handcraft. Especially when it comes to writing, and even design.. But each person is free to spend their money the way they want.

Exactly my point, if a buyer wants to move forward with using AI tools even though it would bad he/ she is free to do. I am not familiar with writing nor do I have any knowledge about that field but designing is one of my fields and I can say with new AI tools it is much cheaper and better to do in several cases for my field.

But the same writer who used AI for a book cover would complain if people chose to, say, read free books written by AI instead of buying his book after he's invested so much time and effort to write it. I'm talking about hypocrisy here: the same person who wants to get paid for their art brags about not using (and paying) an artist and using AI instead.

We do not have enough data to support that hypothesis. Again, as per my opinion anything good will sell itself whether written by AI or human but it is wrong to force someone to pay a certain group whether they be developers/ designers/ writer, etc when a better or cheaper alternative ( as per the buyer, not necessary it would be better or cheaper ) is available to him/ her.

Heh. Do you think that a writer who used AI for a book cover instead of paying an artist would be happy if readers decided to read books written by AI instead of buying his/her books?

Would you be happy if someone decided to get AI to write the code they need for their game instead of hiring you to do it?

I do not think this is a valid argument.

    1) Any book which would be good to read will do good regardless of it being written by AI or real person.

    2) Its like saying you took the job away from people who wrote by introducing computers.

    3) I have not idea about writing book, etc and do not enough knowledge about can AI do those. But, currently AI cannot make the games so this is not an option for users currently but as the AI advances it will become an option and we would have to pivot accordingly.

You also pay for AI tools. Most of these have limitations that you need to circumvent by paying. So it's not free. However it's cheaper than some talent.

I get that, I was just stating the fact that why would people not look for cheaper and better ( in some cases ) option when it is available to them.

  16. Not true completely. We offer game development services in the platform and every game is different from the other so it is a must for buyer to contact us before ordering to get an accurate costing with timeline of the game buyer wants to make. I am sure there would be many such categories where messaging first would be beneficial for both buyer and seller.

Not leaving order updates unanswered for too long (the “buyer has posted an update for X amount of hours” notification)

In this case , there is a bug in fiverr system . It happens when buyer asks something in order page and completes the order before you can respond to it . Then this thing keeps on increasing and there is nothing you can do about it

    Hi there Frank.

Thank you SO much for sharing this.

My name is Kevin Storm. In the last months I had been stupendously busy drawing 16+ hours a day with my 2 gigs “I’ll draw anything” and “I’ll create NFT Cryproart”.

The app and site have been extremely, worryinly buggy for me with messages remaining unread (an issue dating back as far as 2016 as i can tell in forums), people not finding their deliveries (MANY autocompleted deliveries, even after I send many messages to reach customers) and much more. I can be having several conversations with people and they are all happy to go ahead and order and BOOM, all conversations stop simultaneously and customers never respond anymore.

    In february I used the “promote your gig” feature. Many things happened;

-Both my gigs (over 300 5 star orders and rave reviews) dropped literally to the last spot on the last page.

    • I suddenly did not appear at all and got zero customers, gig unpromotable. I found out this was because I used the words “many people leave me with 5 star review” in my FAQ section and without notification, Fiverr had completely blacklisted and removed my gig. I didnt know that was not allowed.

I fixed the issue, but I never got back to where I was.

Oh and then I suddenly got an email with a rejection for Fiverr Pro that I never applied for.

No answer on that either. Bugs.

Fiverr is my only source of income, I am now jobless, except for the odd returning customer. I can’t sleep over this and I’ve literally been emailing customer support and twitter DAILY for over a month.

I sent close to 15 videos of the many issues and every day I get a “this has been forwarded to the relevant team” message. Until I asked if i could open a new account. I immediately got a warning that should I try that, I’d get them both banned.

We did a test here at home. My girlfriend ordered a drawing and we went through everything. As she accepted the delivery, her app crashed, and remained unusable on a locked screen for over an hour (didnt check if it works now). Closing the app, or phone didn’t bring the app back.

This worries me so much as perhaps people now can’t review the gig at all, or maybe just filled out 1 five star, app crashes and the other two remain at zero? I have no idea what is going on but I am crying here. I work harder than anyone out there and now am struggling to get even a single customer.

Another thing (sorry, last one) is that for my NFT gig, I was one of the first. The hype surrounding it is immesne and I was on top of the game, making great money. Someone ordered 4 drawings from me, and then started using MY drawings to list 4 gigs of his/her own that are now ranked way above me.

Perhaps they even left me with zero stars in the private “tell us in private what you thought of…” review people always get, who knows.

I would greatly greatly appreciate any help to get back to a basic income. If you can perhaps help me reach a human being on the customer support side or have a look at my keywords and metrics, I’d be extremely grateful. I’ll draw anything you want as a thank you 🙂 (This goes for anyone out there with the golden tip!) If you have a drawing gig and can’t finish your orders as you’re too busy, send them my way.

Fiverr was my lifeline, I’m very stressed about all this and can only hope they don’t see me as “that annoying seller who keeps complaining every day”.

Thank you for the explanation, I felt a slight relief and have a little hope now.

    Kevin

This is true and there are tons of bugs on fiverr currently . Customer support gives same answer over and over again without actually checking it or giving a fix .
