  1. Even if it is from Fiverr, why would it be password protected with our SSN? I’ve gotten a few 1099s this week and I’ve never had any password protected lol. Sounds fishy to me.
  2. As long as the order was delivered before the timer hit zero, you’ll be okay. It doesn’t actually count as late.
  3. Orders can stay in revision indefinitely, so there is no time limit for them. If the seller is refusing to cancel, you can contact Customer Support to have them cancel the order for you.
  4. Better yet are the ones that demand a “professional” write a 200,000 word novel for $5. 😂
  5. That’s not true at all. As long as she doesn’t share her own personal information, she won’t receive a warning. There’s absolutely no need to cancel the order. Like @imagination7413 said, just quote TOS to them and let them know that you will only communicate on Fiverr.
  6. For any seller new to the platform, here is another example of what NOT to do. This is a little worse than just receiving and sending random spam. Honestly.
  7. My boyfriend absolutely loves pineapple and pepperoni 😂
  8. Yeah, I have a quick response that I send to them. Something along the lines of “stop spamming me” and “you’re probably going to get a warning.” But I agree, we shouldn’t have to respond if we block or report them. I actually did have someone send me a sample of their work. This is a gem from a few months ago. It will probably always be my favorite. This is only a partial sample of what I was sent. The rest was pretty much the same.
  9. image1206×586 112 KBI mean, really? Come on. To anyone that thinks spamming sellers and begging for work is the quick way to get orders, your Fiverr “career” is going to be a short one. At least I caught this message before logging off for the day. I don’t need my response time getting any longer than it is. 😂
  10. Apparently  There’s always going to be people who use Buyer Requests, but you have to be mindful about the offers you respond to. You’re either going to find the buyers/cheapskates/scammers who want, for example, a 30,000-word e-book written for $5, or new buyers who have no idea how the platform works and are willing to pay full price. As long as your responses are thoughtful and unique to each buyer, you have a better chance of getting selected. I’ve had numerous buyers accept my offer simply because I was the only one who actually mentioned key details from their requests. Personally, I feel that the buyer’s name should remain hidden until the buyer either messages the seller or accepts the offer.
  11. Like @marinapomorac said, you should report him. And it’s not only you. When using the desktop app, sellers are able to see the name of the buyer after they have sent an offer (I suppose to make it easier to look back if that buyer messages you about the project). On mobile, the names of buyers are already displayed before you send offers. So, it’s not hard for sellers to figure out who you are, but they’re still not allowed to directly message you like that. Is Fiverr probably going to fix that any time soon? Who knows.
  12. There’s not much Fiverr can do about chargebacks (if it does come to that) since the buyer would be going through PayPal or their credit card company to flag the purchases as “fraud” and get their money back. In that case, both you and Fiverr lose the money. I’ve heard that, in some cases, Fiverr will partially compensate orders cancelled this way. Not always though. Just keep rejecting any request to cancel until CS responds. The orders aren’t late (even though it might say so on the order itself), so the buyer can’t cancel on their own. I hope everything works out for you.
  13. I’m a school bus driver and (when school starts up next week) we are requiring students to wear masks on the bus and have their temperatures checked before they get on. There have been a few people in my town who have died of it, but no one I know personally has been infected. I wear my mask when I go out and try to limit where I go (grocery store mostly) as things are getting worse here. It’s just crazy. I hope that if I do get it I can get over it on my own because I can’t afford to go to the hospital for it. (I live in the United States.)
  14. It really is. Estimates say it should be back up Saturday. I guess the storm knocked out internet for around 300,000 people Monday and they just restored internet to like 100,000 people yesterday. I just wasn’t one of them. 😂
  15. Heyyy! So CS finally came through. The order was cancelled and my stats are back up to 100%. I still don’t have internet, but at least things are working out today. 😊
  16. Where did OP say she was asking for reviews or telling people to buy from her? And I have read the TOS. It is not okay to contact other sellers/buyers to simply promote your service. If that’s the case here, then a ban is justifiable. There is nothing wrong with purchasing gigs as a seller when you need a job done. I’ve done it. I know many others who have. There’s even a tab on our profiles to let us know how much money we have spent purchasing gigs.
  17. Sellers can buy from other sellers. There’s nothing wrong with that. There are numerous sellers on the platform who also operate as buyers. It could very well be a mistake, depending on how your messages were worded. Hopefully CS can sort it out.
  18. I’m not able to create a hotspot because it’s not enabled for my account. I’m on a family plan for my phone with a limit of 4-5GB between 4 people. So, my hands are kinda tied. 😅 And anyone (even a few cities over) I could usually visit to borrow internet are without power too (it just went out again here actually). Definitely a new experience for me. And the buyer has gotten back with me, only to decline all offers of extension and cancellation, so I’m just waiting to hear from CS at this point.
  19. Unfortunately, I can’t edit any of my gigs from the phone app, otherwise I would. I have limited data, so I’m trying to limit how much time I spend online at the moment.
  20. Thank you. I admit that I did get rather lucky though. The storm was definitely much worse for some other people. Also UPDATE: Apparently my request for extension didn’t even go through! So, that’s just wonderful. I guess (on the phone app) if you go through all the steps of filing a dispute and then it takes you back to the profile page DON’T hit the back button up top. It completely erases it and doesn’t send the dispute (even though it appeared on the order page). You have to just completely close the app and start it up again. So, now I’m down to 1 hour for my buyer to hopefully see my messages. It’s a curveball every day around here. 😂
  21. On the plus side, if your ratings do fall a bit with a cancellation, they will always return to where they are before the cancellation in 60 days. The ratings hit is not permanent. 😉 That’s true. I’m not super worried about it, but it’s always nice seeing those 100s on my profile. 😂
  22. The odds are low that you will get a response from CS on this matter in 18 hours. Their current response time on most issues is about 10 days. I certainly hope they can respond sooner, but they are busy and understaffed right now. Any cancelled order is likely to affect your ratings. Yeah, I was worried about the response time. I think the best I’ve had since this all started is 3 days. I’ll try to email them directly, so hopefully that works. And we all got pretty lucky in terms of no damage to our homes. The rest of my friends and family are still without power though. It was just crazy. Well, that’s too bad. It looks like my ratings are about to take a hit for the first time in a long time. My luck was bound to run out sometime though 😂
  23. So, my town and surrounding area were hit pretty hard by the storm that came through yesterday afternoon (Midwest America). I’m lucky to have power back but I don’t have internet (estimations right now say it might be fixed by Saturday -_-). I sent an extension request to one of my buyers, but I haven’t heard anything. They have been online within the past few hours though. Should I ask CS to cancel now, or give the buyer more time to respond? There’s about 18 hours until I need to deliver. I’m hoping CS will be able to cancel without it affecting my ratings. Or do I just go ahead with canceling through the resolution center and hope CS can fix my ratings later? Any input is appreciated, especially if you have experience with Fiverr work being disrupted by a storm. 2020 has been absolutely insane 😂
  24. Most of the messages/orders I receive come when I’m offline. I don’t know about other sellers, but 90% of the time when a buyer comes to me, claiming they need something done right away, it’s during the middle of the night when I haven’t been online for hours. Does showing as online for most of the day hurt? Eh, probably not. Does it help? Maybe a little. But being online isn’t the only thing a buyer looks at, and no one realistically thinks that a seller is active 24/7. It’s impossible. I like using the app just because it makes talking to my buyers easier and I’m not around my computer often.
