  1. @olyasr But Fiverr charges customers an initial service fee on the order + another service fee on any additional item (it can be an offer from the seller) purchased after the initial transaction (if that's the case) + an ultimate service fee on tips! I’d wager many Fiverr customers incl. indie/unknown music artists do not tip for that reason. Indie/music artists oftentimes spend extraordinary fees (thousands) to create just one song, and then to video it and properly promote it. Add to that the money (millions) some indies have lost over various scams. Overcharging hurts both providers and clients.
  2. Oh no! Fiverr is now charging provincial and federal taxes for many countries. Just what indie artists needed (sarcasm). It’s already very expensive for indie artists, and now this! And of course, the more expensive the item is, the more the taxes. That should be reversed if possible.
  3. I totally agree. It would be better to ask customers if they wish to leave a tip. Telling them it is “customary” to leave a tip is not true and kind of “guilts” customers into leaving one. Besides, I do not appreciate charging the buyer a service fee for the tip when they already paid a service fee when purchasing the service. Also, recording artists, for instance, have so much to pay for: creation of the instrumental, recording of the vocals, hiring of one or more background singer (in quite some cases), vocal engineering, mixing, mastering, creation of the record artwork + all the paid promo, photoshoots, production of music videos, tours, transportation, accommodation, etc. Buyers should be allowed not to tip or to tip accordingly to their means without any guilt.
