This also simplifies the feedback process, reducing the number of forms customers need to fill out

This is unfortunately not the case. I no longer have the ability to skip through questions to leave an automated review.

I have to take 7 steps ( 7 clicks at a min.) to get to the end and am still prompted to write a paragraph.

If I decide to answer all questions, it would be a whopping 17 - 18 clicks to get me through.

Buyers are often pressed for time and it's simply annoying to have to go through this extensive 'leave a review' process! Who wants to do that??

What I absolutely dislike is the fact that the amount I spent will now be publicly displayed. Why??? I won't be leaving reviews anymore. This is something I am not willing to share publicly.

Fiverr has always used metrics and from a business point I get it. Reading Emmaki's post made me think how sellers potentially are contributing to this issue by being part of the seller success program. In order for sellers to get these insights and data Fiverr has to collect data.

  2. UPDATE -All new audio uploaded to gig will suck !!-

So after checking several categories and “New Arrivals” ALL Audio and Video is indeed compressed to 22khz audio sample rate . In between the masses of orders I have of course, I found this ;-). Here is a great example of how poor the audio sample rate now is. This nearest comparison to what it used to be at.

    16ktz @ 0:20 (Now)

    48ktz @ 0:47 (Before June-ish 2019)

Song is -Third Eye Blind - How is it going to be

That is really terrible and it will cause a problem for the entire category and sales.

I had a client who asked me if I can deliver a file that isn’t as heavily processed because it sounded robotic.

I don’t compress my files so I asked him if he downloaded the file or if he listened in through the playback window within the delivery.

Of course it was the playback window on the site. He confirmed that the quality of the downloaded file was much better.

Seems like I will have to ask clients to download the file directly in order to check the work from now on.

Seriously how is this OK? 20% off every order and we get such a road block?

    😡. Pfffft rant over!

  3. Hi, I’m a musician selling music on Fiverr.

What I don’t understand is if I choose not to grant commercial usage in my gigs, what does that allow the buyer to do with the music? I want to retain my copyright so I still own and can sell/use the music elsewhere but I also want my music to be used the videos and films of buyers.

If I don’t give commercial rights can they still use my music in their films or not?? What usage have I agreed?

    Please help!

    Thank you

if I choose not to grant commercial usage in my gigs, what does that allow the buyer to do with the music?

Not much! Maybe use it but they have to credit you?

I want to retain my copyright so I still own and can sell/use the music elsewhere but I also want my music to be used the videos and films of buyers.

This is a bit tricky. How would you even keep track of this and how would you be able to track them down to see if they violate your copyrights?

If Idon’t give commercial rights can they still use my music in their films or not?? What usage have I agreed?

You would have to write up your own agreement and the client would have to sign it but you would have to run it by customer support to make sure you would have permission since the exchange of personal information isn’t permitted.

Is it just a usage/licence I’m selling in this case? How to I know they won’t sell it on?

You won’t know. To be honest, I am not sure if Fiverr is the right place if you are that concerned about the usage, commercial license etc.

  4. You can ask for (solicit) a review but can’t ask for a 5 star, or a good, review.

Ok, so basically I can ask them to leave a review but not say leave a good or great review if they like the work?

What MissCrystal said 👍 . Even Fiverr staff encourages us to ask buyers for reviews (at least that’s what I heard in the SL or from Pro sellers). However, as soon as you ask for a 5 * or a positive review it becomes an issue.

  5. Tell him you would appreciate the opportunity to get it right. See if he is interested in getting it fixed. If he agrees you can deliver via inbox. If your client is happy with the final outcome, he can reach out to customer support to have his review removed.

Be careful though…soliciting clients for a 5 star review is not allowed. Good luck!
