  1. What a very odd question! If a man dies then what will be his or her Fiverr account? Uhh. 🤨 The account likely either is set inactive by a friend or family member, or the account gets placed on indefinite hold for not responding to orders, messages, and for general inactivity. Unfortunately, there's at least one successful account I can directly reference. Activerog was a successful 'memey' Australian spokesperson who passed away. His account is still present on Fiverr and his gigs are not visible on his profile but can still be found via internet search, but on top of his gigs is a disclaimer stating:
  2. The Fiverr forum is not for trying to find work (no matter what any anyone might claim otherwise). The Fiverr forum is for learning the latest news on Fiverr programs and features and for reading and sharing freelancing experiences and advice which may prove useful to one's own endeavors. But take any advice with a grain of salt, as a whole lot of bad or outright harmful "advice" and "tips" also clutters up the forum.
  3. Just curious... Why is your seller account profile picture vastly different from your forum profile picture?
  4. I think if most people saw a profile with 31 services listed, that would overwhelm them and they would not take the time to decipher exactly what each gig offers. But good on that seller for doing so well.
  5. I've never actually created that many gigs, draft or otherwise. I don't really feel like testing it out by creating over a dozen junk draft gigs, so I'll take your word for it. 😅 That's a bit surprising to me that a TRS would willingly clutter their profile with SO MANY GIGS. I've read, anecdotally, that some TRS had to actually limit down how many gigs in different categories they were offering before being accepted as TRS. 🤔
  6. How many gigs can one create in a day? As many or as few as one wants. How many active gigs can one have up all at once? That ranges from 7 all the way to 30, dependent on seller account level.
  7. There is not set average. First order can range from within the first day active all the way to still waiting for an indeterminate amount of time...
  8. A reminder to view order requirements? I've never received such a notification and didn't even know it existed!
  9. I'm fully aware that it's a common trend to become increasingly jaded responding to the same types of inquiries over and over.

Personally, the redesigned forum seems to only be accelerating that rate in exasperating fashion. 😑

  10. "Lost" is so ambiguous a word. "Lost," as in no longer knowing the password and login for the account is very different from "lost," as in from getting banned due to inappropriate actions/behavior.
  11. I think everyone can agree that there's a plethora of sellers currently on the platform who have absolutely no idea what they're doing/shouldn't be trying to peddle their services what with their lack of basic skills, talent, or tools to handle even the most rudimentary of orders. The divergence stems from how best to discourage/remove/minimize such harmful sellers from the platform. In a dream scenario, I'd like to see every new gig created by a seller be required to complete an unpaid "test order" from Fiverr staff who would verify that the gig is of sufficient quality and standards to warrant going live on the site. I realize that would be a Herculean endeavor requiring so many staff members and that there would be numerous cases of rejected sellers claiming biased treatment, but I would honestly prefer all the downsides of such a vetting process over a simple pay barrier.
  12. Dropping several hundred dollars per month/year just for the "privilege" to be on a platform does, in no way, denote quality. It denotes someone who is willing and able to drop large sums of money in hopes of getting a larger return. The P2P VO sites, even with their large entrance gate fees, still have subpar quality talent, or quality talent with subpar setups. I will never play the role of arbiter of who is or isn't professional in VO simply based on how much they've spent in gear, lessons, environment, and sound treating. There are VO who do wonders with a thrifty setup and have thriving businesses on the site, while there are VO kitted out to the gills and yet still struggle month by month. There aren't many active VO sellers in the forum, but this is the first time I've read of one slagging off so many fellow VO sellers as charlatans or poseurs. If a person spends a small fortune setting up their business to achieve "professional quality" but is unwilling to pay a high monthly access fee, as they see that as "double dipping" to prove one's supposed worth, I find that to be a completely reasonable position to hold.
  13. Editing/modifying a gig may result in it being temporarily knocked out of the Fiverr algorithm. It should return to an active status within a few days time, normally. If it still doesn't receive any impressions, then checking the status of the gig in the Help & Support page request form can give you an insight if the gig is actually up. Gig page location is not permanent and always keeps changing. There's no way to guarantee being placed in a premium first-page spot.
  14. For successful sellers, a transition to pay-to-play would seem far more reasonable with many more potential upsides than to new or struggling sellers. I put a "lot of skin" just into getting my gigs up and running and have spent a large amount of time, effort, and income into starting my business here. Shelling out several hundred bucks a month/year just for the opportunity of posting one's gigs would drive numerous talented and dedicated freelancers away who simply cannot afford such fees for platform access. And anyway, a platform being pay to play doesn't guarantee that any member will have better prospects. The VO industry has numerous P2P websites, and the stark truth is that many members never get enough orders to even make up the price of membership. I completely agree that Fiverr requires a process of vetting that sellers can actually deliver what they promise on their gigs, but a paywall really only proves that a seller can drop X amount of money every month/year.
  15. I don't work for Fiverr Customer Support. It varies with how busy they are with other support requests.
  16. 3 impressions? Ouch. You might not actually be in the algorithm with numbers like that. Go to the Help and Support page, press the green "Submit a Request" button, and then check if your gig is actually active or still under review here"
  17. Is the gig receiving impressions in your Gigs page? If so, then it is active and available in the site algorithm. Minor gig edits may or may not temporarily knock a gig out of the algorithm. but the safest practice is to try to minimize the amount of edits and try to have all modifications done at one go.
  18. Welcome to the new forum Vickie! Everyone's still trying to figure the layout and features out.  😅

Even though I am on my computer and not my phone, I feel totally like I am in a deep ocean and I am not sure how to swim.

  19. Just a reminder, please don't message other sellers and ask if they are interested in purchasing your services! 🚫

  20. A new sign up thread! I guess the old thread got a bit long in the tooth and saturated with discussions/arguments about the actual program itself while details were still very limited.
  21. Ouch. What a ghastly experience. You went above and beyond the scope of what the gig should have included, yet the buyer was a contradicting dolt in terms of what he actually wanted. 😬 I’m not sure if you present to buyers a rough outline/sketch before committing fully to a finished illustration, but can see in this case why you wouldn’t since the buyer gave you the reference image and cover. It seems this was a case of, “No good deed goes unpunished.”
  22. Oops. I mistook third party ToS claim for a content/copyright claim. Still need to wake up. 😴 But a copyright claim can also result in gig removal (and probably whole account termination).
  23. Well, something triggered it. “Content” is not limited solely to text. It could be the gig images, sound, or video as well.
