  1. That’s amazing. I was looking at https://www.fiverr.com/gwyneth_galvin earlier. She’s great and another supportive individual.
  2. 16 soon. She loves art but she is like a realist and thinks cant make money out of it so she pushes that part aside while I am here buying art supplies and all since I had talent in art and I had to let it go and “Get a real job”. Regrets… a lot of regrets. marinapomorac I have made your image my new primary image. You are totally right, shake things up if they are not working. It cannot have worse results than I have been having. Well here’s hoping to our daughters…And to our future sucess here and elsewhere. Great to ‘meet’ you! :hugs:
  3. Thank you, but this is what I do all the time. I have this thing where I am like motivated and inspired by weird things at strange times and I just have to draw it or draw something. and this is my daughter’s artwork, she likes this style and black white image583×644 128 KBmarinapomorac Thanks. I like that, it’s improved it. . I think that’s great, you are putting it out there and it will come back 5-fold I am sure…I am glad I was tonight’s weird thing to work on 😂 I saw her work and it’s great. is she older then mine?. She has a future, for sure. Clearly in the genes…
  4. WOW marinapomorac. Thank you so much! And on your Sunday night too! I like the third one best. My daughter is a talented artist and I paid her so don’t worry! I am going to look at your Gig and see what your duaghter did because mine is expressing interest in doing hand-made Greetings Cards here on Fiverr… The only thing I wondered about her image (and therefore yours) is whether she could have made my mouth curve upwards, otherwise I look a bit sulky (especially because she made my eyes very dark, whereas in reality they are blue), and I am enthusiastic to work on people’s voice-overs not sulky…But I didnt want to trouble her any more (short attention span, you know how it is…) You can claim a little voiceover from me anytime you want one, in return…
  5. This thing is completely random and mindless. I sometimes find gigs on the first page of the search and the people are not using the site for years, services on hold for over 5 years and their GIG is still in the search results. Samples of logos, I had this idea of microphone in UK flag with or without a cartoon version of your profile in the background as logo/profile image, and for thumbnails, I though of GIG thumbnails, and images, right now for some reason your GIG displayed your video which is OK but it is not your head only your eyes zoomed so it looks kinda strange. You could add something in the video and then select that still image as a thumbnail to be displayed for the video. There is this one VOA with an amazing portfolio. Let me look it up. Here, it is her: https://www.fiverr.com/gwyneth_galvin? Her video is like “business how to one on one”. It’s more like this isn’t it, so a bit more than what you showed but yes, I am sure my visual identity could be better. It’s not a video, it’s an audio clip though… Yes I should maybe look at a cartoon version of me perhaps (is that an Avatar?). My daughter did this, but it doesnt really work and mkes me look too young (but she is only 14!)… image1200×1600 170 KBI would be interested in seeing the portfolio of the guy who got it right in your opinion…Visual stuff is not my strength (clearly!)
  6. That would have been very interesting, marinapomorac, especially because I am not sure what you mean by samples or thumbnails. I have done lots of looking at what others are doing, to try to work things out, but I do feel inspired now, thanks to you and enunciator to try various things to solve this. As might be true in your niche too (I am not sure what it is but will look it up), my jaw often drops at the results of Fiver’s Algorhythms. In my case there are quite a few people with no sales or 1 sale consistently coming above my 16 5-star reviews. And I total understand why Newbies should be given a chance, that’s the right thing to do, but I don’t understand why that higher position is still being given to those people after, say, 4-6 months and still only having 1 sale…
  7. Hey enunciator I thank you for your reply. And it gives me food for thought…Very interesting in fact. I will think more about what you said and I genuinely appreciate the time you took to write. Break a lip (as they say!)…
  8. marinapomorac You are not in the Matrix. I am that person. Desperation will make a man do strange things! I like your ideas…Yes, I think it’s time for doing one change at a time along the lines of what you suggest…Thank you…
  9. Hello fellow Voice Actors/Voice-Overs/Voice Talent, and whatever else you call yourselves 🙂 I have a genuine request here. If you get a moment could you have a look at my Voice-Over Narration/Explainer Gig and tell me what you think of it? The specific reason for asking is that I have been on Fiverr for around 6 months now and done 17 voice-over jobs. 16 of them have earned 5-star reviews (the other one got a little tricky but we resolved it in the end to his satisfaction, but the process took a while by which time the chance to review had gone). But what is blowing my mind is that NO-ONE BUYS from my Gig page. Basically ALL the sales have been through Buyers’ Requests. So I am in this bizarre situation where I am well on my way to Level 1, and appear on page 1 for Voice-over New Sellers adult males who do a British accent, but I still get practically no-one looking at my Gig. Around 40-50 impressions a day and about 1 click a day, which is obviously dreadful. Yet I have the proof that I do an excellent job with all the 5-star reviews. And as I say, I feature in the top 50 Voiceover males in my particular New Seller niche. And also I have tweaked and honed the Gig description etc. I am aware of tags etc. And hopefully I don’t look horrendous! But none of it makes the slightest difference… I don’t understand what I am doing wrong. When you look at the Gig page you’ll see that I have now put in Commercial and Broadcast rights FOR FREE until the end of this year. That wasn’t there before - I have just done that in sheer desperation to try and get some actual sales from the page. It seems to me that there’s something weird going on, and I’d love you to cast some light on it if you can… Should I add more Gigs (some people say that dilutes the message)? Should I not show my face (since it shows I have gray hair), and use an avatar instead? Should I charge more? Should I charge less? if not any of those, then WHAT?? I am tearing my hair out… I’d be grateful for ANY constructive advice. Thank you very much… 🙏 https://www.fiverr.com/share/0E6lXy
  10. imagination7413 Thanks for your feeling, which I share. So far so good! ukbritishvoice
  11. augustusblog It’s SO weird whats happening with me. “600+ impressions per day, and lots of clicks” sounds like heaven. “switch up your gig page to be more attractive, change the title, etc”. I have done ALL of it. I admit I am not promoting outside FIverr because, well, some people won’t take me seriously if I do that in the circles I move in… However I only have one Gig, and you are right, that needs to change. So I will do more Gigs. Although I know VERY successful Sellers on here who think it dilutes focus and only have ONE gig. So that made me pause. Anyhow I am going to try that…Thanks for taking an interest… ukbritishvoice
  12. Hi marinapomorac Thanks for taking an interest. Peoples experiences can certainly vary. I have received a job offer for every 20 Buyers Requests on average. So that seems to be very good. Yet no sales through the Page. VERY low number of clicks like (I am embarassed to say it) 35 in a month. But I don’t think the Gig Page is awful (have a look). Another thing that doesnt make sense is I am on Page 1 in my category of men who do Voice-overs and who have a British accent and are adults/middle-aged and New Sellers. So that’s in the top 45 of 350. Still it does not translate to sales on the Gig page… I should make Level one in a month and then maybe things will automatically change with a different algorythm. I hope so. ukbritishvoice
  13. Hi augustusblog What’s really weird is that I now have 16 5-star reviews out of 17 jobs and STILL NO-ONE BUYS FROM MY PAGE. IT’S ALL BUYERS’ REQUESTS. I simply don’t understand this. I really, really wish someone could cast some light on this. I am only getting about 50 impressions a day, I don’t know if that is terribly low in other peoples experience. It did go up to 200 for a day or two, I have no idea why, then back down. And I have continued to streamline and improve the Gig description. It makes no difference. I am well on the way to being Level 1 WITHOUT ANYONE ACTUALLY BUYING FROM MY PAGE! I am wondering whether to go to Customer resolution centre about the situation because maybe there’s something wrong technically somewhere, or something… ukbritishvoice
  14. Well you seem to be doing very well english_voiceif you are just waiting. That’s not working for me: hence Buyers Requests. You seem to have stopped doing a Voice Gig from what I could see (I looked you up).
  15. Hi humanissocial. I wrote to them " Hi sorry but it’s against Fiverr rules to give your email like that. And that worries me. That might be an innocent mistake but it’s a one word job, and that’s even more worrying, because there would be nothing to stop you receiving different versions of that word from different voice actors to your email and then disappearing without payment. Can you see the problem? I think I have to leave this…"
  16. Hi surajrenuka. There’s no active Order, they just want a sample. It’s too suspicious and I no longer trust this Buyer. Especially because it’s just one word they want. If it was a longer script then I could make a change or two which I would then correct if they booked me. But with one word, you can’t do that. Like I say, it’s too suspicious for two reasons. So I am out, and have told them that…
  17. Hi english_voice. Thanks re my name, I spent AGES choosing it. Yours is pretty good though! I have bad feelings about this request. Especially because it’s a one word job. Literally one word. And you and I both know that in this situation what’s to stop the Buyer harvesting various versions of that word from various voice actors, sent to the email they have given, and then just disappearing off and using the version they like best - no payment given. By the way do you find you get people buying from your Gig Page. ALL my sales (12 so far) are from Buyers Requests. NO-ONE buys from the Gig page. I find it weird and disheartening…
  18. coerdelion Thanks. I will stay firm. It seems dodgy and could rebound on me.
  19. Hi there. A Buyer has got in touch with me after I responded to their Buyer Request. I notice that they want me to send a file (an audio file because it’s a Voice-over thing) to an email they have put in their message to me. But that’s against FIverr rules isn’t it for them to provide their email like that? Am I right? It just makes me nervous that if they liked what I did they could just take what I did and disappear… ukbritishvoice
  20. Thanks for trying blavaro. I have seen people on the Forum mainly say it’s NOT allowed, and a couple say it is, but it’s all very vague, and, like you, I can’t find official policy. I might indeed have to try CS because I am trying to get to the facts of the matter, not what people think. A screenshot would be great if someone has asked this question before - specifically in relation to Buyers Requests…
  21. I’m a Voice-Over person and a little puzzled by what is and isn’t allowed by Fiverr when it comes to linking to my SoundCloud page, so people can easily listen to voiceovers I have done. I’d love it if anyone here on the forum could help me further with this. It’s official Fiverr policy (in Seller’s Advice) that you can link to certain sites - but only certain sites - including SoundCloud and Youtube. That’s official. I am a little surprised by this because obviously that’s leading people away from the Fiverr site, something that Fiverr is (understandably) keen to avoid. But it says in black and white you can put such a link in your “profile or description”. The link isn’t a hyperlink that people can click on, they have to highlight, copy and paste which is not very convenient, but still it’s a link. So I have put a link to SoundCloud in my Voice-Over Gig Description. I noticed that when I tried to put the same link in my profile, it wasn’t allowed, maybe because I had already put the link in my Gig description. What I am unclear about is whether people are allowed to put a link to, in my case, SoundCloud in their responses to Buyers Requests? I have a feeling the answer is no, but I can’t see the official advice on this. I don’t quite see the difference in allowing such a link in your Gig description, but not allowing it in Buyers Requests. If you have knowledge, backed up by an actual quote, of the official policy on this specific question of links in Buyers’ Requests, do please reply… ukbritishvoice 😷
  22. you are welcome nagakumarir ukbritishvoice
  23. I wish I had some insight into this bumblepixco. The only thing i can think of is it’s connected to Covid-19 and people trying to get things as cheap as possible…
