  1. Don't use templates for messages please. I did that when I was selling. Now I'm buying and it's totally annoying and unprofessional. I don't even read those when somebody sends me :)
  2. I'm guilty of that. Well at least my 2-3 year younger self is. I was a crybaby, don't be me :D Stay professional guys, keep that "it's only business" mentality
  3. True, those guys don't understand the risk of messing with us lol. Like when you are in restaurant you don't want to mess with the cook, unless you want him to spit in your food Imo its good to develop cold head approach when dealing with any client. If you are freelancer and take everything personal and emotional you're gonna have horrible experience.
  4. Cool tips, I would also add that it's good idea to niche further. I mean just doing web design is not niche enough and with this oversaturated market making a gig "I will make you a website" will bear no fruits at all, you will get only few views a day and nobody will buy your service. This could work few years earlier. A lot of top sellers who are web designers are specializing for example in making websites for certain kind of businesses or using only one CMS. This not only makes you appear earlier in search but also boosts your conversion rate.
  5. Yeah it's pretty popular, wouldn't say red is chill tho. Certain shades perhaps? But mostly its aggresive
  6. Haha you got me :D Still they use color psychology in there: green = healthy blue = trustworthy red = noticeable
  7. Sorry for late reply Purple is similiar to black - relates to luxury products & services. That's why a lot of chocolate companies uses it, perceiving buyers into thinking that eating their chocolate is a luxury :D
  8. Hi, as a graphic designer you want to look as a creative person. So orange and yellow fits. We don’t want to have our gig images too colorful tho, so maybe orange + white or yellow + white? You can even dig deeper and for example if your target market is mostly made of males then you can utilize that and use colors that most of man likes, like blue.
  9. Guys with no sales telling everyone to advertise on social media: https://media1.giphy.com/media/8VSaCyIdcnbuE/giphy.gif(image larger than 4096KB)
  10. I will definitely think about this, most of my orders I need to time extend (honestly my time estimation game sucks im too optimistic) which probably have very bad effect on my gig performance.
  11. Great idea, I would love to hear something from fiverr engineers. If fiverr could host at least one backend developer who could answer at least some of our questions it would be amazing.
  12. Yeah much respect to Frank, its very rarely to see so good topics here
  13. I disagree, when I was level one and level two it didn’t really did much to me (besides getting much lower views when I became level one). Now im not even level 1 and 2 orders in my queue are around 200$. And im just 18 year old kid right? People suddenly have a lot of money when you are providing something they desperately need. But you won’t have that experience providing data entry or whatever. Imo the levels give somewhere between little to no benefits, just as doing knowledge tests. And if you will become level 1, level 2 or even TPS just by bringing clients outside there is big chance you won’t succeed. You have to take a lot of time to study “fiverr game” and how to make it bring you anyone. Doesn’t matter if you are level 1 or TPS.
  14. I don’t see any point working on fiverr when you have most of your income come from outside. You are not really proffiting on fiverr this way? I don’t understand your idea If you can get clients yourself what’s the point of using fiverr which main purpose is to bring you clients?
  15. I also feel like it. The more clients I have in queue the more is inquiring, while when I don’t have any sales im usually without orders in queue for 1-3 weeks.
  16. I share this confusion a lot of times, though I like to edit my gigs a lot.
  17. Yup right, I don’t know much about technical names for it. I suck at marketing currently, most knowledge I know about comes from Seth Godin book lol but I managed to get one big client outside of fiverr to fiverr
  18. There are plenty of ways to advertise without spending money though.
  19. What doers this mean? I did mention that conversion is a factor and promoted gigs are also a factor. Kendall is saying that we shouldn’t rely only on fiverr bringin us clients but we should also get some clients from advertising. Which is true, still I don’t think its really in any way connected to topic where are we rather discussing how to get as much as we can from fiverr. Advertising outside it is completely different thing.
  20. Really gold article and nice observations. Unfortunately we can only theoritize because fiverr will never show us backend. I’ll be happy to discuss few points 😛 "Focus on your gig’s title, don’t try to capture everyone, don’t use pretty adjectives, focus on who you want to find your gig." I think adjectives maybe don’t add anything to “relevancy” but if used correctly they may help to get potential buyers click more. What I see is titles like “I will write a killer landing page for you”, “I will write attention grabbing content” seem to have more sales than average titles like “I will develop app for you”. "The new engine qualifies buyers and knows a lot about them, before serving your gig their way: -their purchase intent -buying history -browsing habits (I mean on site) -how they respond to custom offers -when they spend -how they spend" How do you know that? Its very hard to tell this without looking directly into code Your tags need to be complimentary to your title. Not repeating what you say you will do." That’s interesting will definitely try this.
  21. Good question, i’d go for something that represents creativity / passion. Like orange or yellow. Red may be good way to go too but make sure it will say “Look at me! Im passionate and attentive about what im doing” rather than “Watch out! Be warned, by buying this gig you can have problems!” If you know what I mean? // at the same time, this green on your gigs really fits. You might not want to change that. What I would recommend for you is to get other image of yours for profile image. So that you won’t use same image for gigs and profile image. That way people will be 100% sure that this photo is yours and not some stock image.
  22. Yeah it’s about luck totally  you work in a logo design, now type logo design in fiverr search and you have 125 197 Services available, so you are competing with over 100k other gigs. And you wonder why you have no sales.
  23. More noodles more happiness 😃 That’s wonderful thing that you decided to take action, color psychology is very powerful weapon if you use it right. Coca-cola is best example 😉
