  1. I've already gone down to the lower level. Still $19 a month for some the features that I want to keep for now as this plays out, but otherwise I think my SM might be out of ideas.
  2. What I meant was, has the impact of a dissatisfied first-time buyer always been so significant? If one newbie has that much power to crash a seller's visibility, the Request to Order feature should be available to everyone IMO. Not a possible solution you can access only by spending $29-$39 a month, depending on when you started with SP. As for private reviews, the debate is still going on in another thread. Those three all-important check-box-only questions.
  3. What came first? The problematic first time buyers, or the Request to Order feature for a premium monthly fee?
  4. Snap. I've been wondering about this. My SM cancelled an order 3ish weeks ago because the buyer left it incomplete and then just vanished for a month. No surface drop in my stats, but it is marked as a cancellation. Would be great to see the review system... reviewed. The last question I got from my SM about this was if I'd turned on OOO when I went on holiday because that can affect orders. But no, I extended my delivery time per SM advice and spent the week with my loved ones dealing with spam on Fiverr, like a normal person does on holiday. It's not cutting it anymore.
  5. Good to know. I've been trying to get an answer form the dedicated support team contact page on the Payoneer website and it's been crickets for 6 months.
  6. You may find that rude, but he's right. When people come to the forum looking for answers that should be obvious, chances are they'll get straight-talking answers from established professionals who know how the platform works. If it's not obvious why people are asking to talk to you privately, let me try and help you out. Your gig image, specifically for your content writing gig, is inappropriate and provocative. You're modelling underwear on a bed. You are going to be contacted by some creeps attempting to take you off the platform. Put yourself in the shoes of a legitimate buyer looking for a content writer. They will be looking for someone who communicates their offering appropriately. You need a professional gig image relating to content writing with some examples of your writing work. Your image doesn't communicate anything about your writing skills. And what is your writing niche? Do you write about fashion? Your fashion modelling coaching gig also directs people towards your IG account portfolio. There are certain platform links we are allowed to put in our descriptions. I'm not sure IG is on the approved list, but you can check this yourself by reading the Fiverr Terms of Service. But because you're advertising your services on Fiverr, put some of your portfolio images on Fiverr that relate to coaching. Generally, your profile bio and gig descriptions are too vague and don't say much other than you're flexible with what you can model, but your images don't communicate flexibility or variety. And while many sellers offer varying skills and gigs, it is jarring when they are wildly different. I'm not saying you can't be good at more than one thing, but you have to be smart about how everything looks together. With vague descriptions, no FAQs offering additional information and badly mismatched gig images, you will struggle to attract the right clients and build a good client base.
  7. My top seller is 'strong, warm British voice over'. But I think it's 'warm, strong British voice over' that's going to be the key to my continued success on this platform. Or maybe 'voice over, British, with warmth and strength' 😉
  8. The thumbnail image for your web content writing gig (sitting between your modelling gigs) is a bit of a red flag. When I think writer, I don't think bra and hot-pants.
  9. You make some really good points. I hadn't really stopped to consider the magnitude of the impact these changes to gigs would have across the board. I assume there's a valid reason why use of chatGPT is banned in the forum but allowed for creating gig descriptions? 😑 Presumably these same sellers will have to communicate with English speaking buyers using chatGPT too.
  10. Yep. The effect has been the same as it would have been after a genuine drop in BSR - reduced visibility, next to no orders. So the assurance that our BSR is fine regardless of the email still doesn't feel right.
  11. Thanks for creating this post, Mike. We do come in peace! I'm very grateful for what my previous and current SM's have done for me. I probably wouldn't be a Pro seller without their help, kindess and encouragement, and the scope of my offer has increased and improved. My SM is always there to answer questions and offer support where they can. I felt I was getting more than my money's worth. My BSR did drop briefly some months ago, and my SM couldn't give me specifics about the private review that tanked me, just advice on improving my communication. Even though that lower BSR hit me, I was still getting orders, so I just rode it out. But I'm now experiencing the worst slump I've ever had since I joined Fiverr in 2018. Like Mike, I've gone from thousands of impressions and hundreds of clicks to less than 100 clicks some weeks. Even as a newbie, I had at least three orders a week. And the pandemic didn't harm me. I got more work. For the first time, I'm asking myself, will I get enough Fiverr orders to justify the SP fee? Again, not because my SM isn't great but because I feel it's run its course and that the money is better spent elsewhere now that I'm investing in other options. I do not want to come across as an ungrateful, entitled brat. This drought could be down to a massive market slowdown, turbulence, shifting budgets, layoffs, AI, christmas-new year-easter-spring-summer holidays and work-for-peanuts freelancers all glomming together and contributing to this... Whatever this is. Our SM's can only do so much, and I'm not blaming them, but there should be more transparency. If my SM were to throw their hands in the air and tell me they don't know what else they can do to help me, I would respect that and decide whether or not I want to stay in the program.
  12. My new AI voiceover gig (human doing AI) has had the most impressions and clicks in the past week. No orders. I wonder if clients are actually looking for a human to do character AI, or if they think it's actually AI. You're definitely not alone here. I got very comfortable because I was getting plenty of orders, and was always encouraged to "build my Fiverr business"... and the Fiverr Business profile promised a lot and delivered next to nothing. the last Fiverr Business query I got was spam. So I've refreshed all my gigs but I've returned to almost redundant profiles elsewhere and also joined other platforms and applied to agencies.
  13. Total earnings isn't proof of quality. Plenty of people earn money from their orders and receive terrible reviews for what they've produced for the client. The England football players are multi-millionaires. Have you seen the trophy cabinet?
  14. I have no idea, I don't know what you're selling and I probably wouldn't understand your business or target audience. If you were looking for someone to provide your service what would you search for?
  15. As @vickiespencer said, negative private reviews will tank a gig for at least a month. I had this a few months back even though the public reviews were all 5-star. I'm not sure how bad a private review needs to be, or if it's just needs to be less than perfect, but it hits a gig hard. You can use this time to do any gig "clean-up" and improvements if you feel they need some maintenance, otherwise just ride it out.
  16. If I have to send multiple files to a client I add them all individually but then also provide a WeTransfer link with a folder containing all the files. You could request this from sellers as an alternative as it's free to use up to 2GB I believe.
  17. Bank transfer goes through Paypal which is the only alternative to Payoneer for sellers living outside of the US. I believe US sellers also have the option of direct payments to their bank account.
  18. This information should be kept private, it has nothing to do with anyone else. Gigs, work examples and reviews are sufficient.
  19. If you know your own business offering then you can come up with relevant keywords based on what you think your potential clients would search for.
  20. Only clients who have ordered from your gig can leave a review when your order is completed. But they are not obligated to leave a review, it's their choice and you cannot ask for reviews, especially 5 star reviews, this will get you a warning from Fiverr. You may ask for "honest feedback" and that's it. A client will review you based on their experience and not because you have asked for it.
  21. It seems writers get the most spam, I get some but not torrents. If you mark them immediately as spam then it shouldn't affect your response rate, but I believe if you click on report and select spam that way then you still need to reply to make sure your response rate isn't affected. You could set up a quick response just for spam. I usually just reply with "No thanks" and then mark the messages as spam. It's irritating. Hopefully it will slow down.
  22. 😂 Your post cheered me up no end. Now to find my sweatpants and 80's playlist.
  23. Considering the loss of jobs, threat of nuclear war and the destruction of our life-giving environment, being a brain in a jar sounds pretty good to me. However, brains need water and that's also becoming a problem.
  24. ...I can assure that Apple is among my top clients on fiber.
