    What this does is penalize sellers like myself who, whilst we go out of our way to over deliver, there are times when the buyer simply can't be satisfied and the only rational course of action is to initiate a cancellation - We have lost our time and the buyer is refunded - still on the 'buyers side' but I can appreciate why the platform operates like this - but we both get to 'walk away'.

    Now, with this new feature, the buyer who can't possibly be pleased, gets to leave a review while going off with their refund - I can't see any circumstance where a buyer, who is taking a cancellation because it's impossible to satisfy them, will do anything other than leave a 'bad review' - essentially then this is an 'Automatic Bad Review' for a cancellation when the seller simply can't satisfy even an unreasonable buyer.....

    Tell me - how is this fair, amicable or an improvement?

    Thats the thing what i am talking about. Specially in Video editing service, when all depends on the materia lwhat they sent

    • Please remember, not all canceled orders will result in a review as not all buyers choose to leave feedback.
    • We lowered the rating score threshold from 4.7 to 4.2 to help sellers better maintain their levels.

     

    Now, let's address some specific questions you posted:
    1. If a canceled order is over 14 days old, the buyer won't be able to leave a review on the order?  
    That’s right, reviews for canceled orders must be posted within 14 days. After this time, there will no longer be an option to leave a review.


    2. First-time buyers can't review a canceled order at all or are they just excluded from the rule?
    First-time buyers, which means buyers who purchase on Fiver for the first time, will not have the option to leave a review for a canceled order. 

    3. Is it a manual process or does the system determine what's eligible for a review or not? 
    It is not manual. Buyers can leave reviews for canceled orders in cases of lateness, unresponsiveness (even if a delivery was provided). This doesn’t include orders placed by mistake or by first-time buyers. Sellers who are buyers are not eligible to leave reviews.

    4. Is there any indication in the ratings that they are from canceled orders?
    Yes, reviews for canceled orders will be marked with a relevant tag.

    5. What is considered an unsatisfactory delivery?
    Unsatisfactory deliveries vary, so it really depends on the specific case. Our customer support team is here to help if you have questions about deliveries.

    6. Can a random seller try to abuse this system to give you a bad review?
    No. We will block these reviews, and we’ll treat such bad behavior on our platform with the appropriate means.

    7. What does ‘unresponsiveness’ mean? 
    A seller who fails to respond for 24 hours (or even longer for orders with a very long delivery time) is deemed “unresponsive” and may be subject to reviews on canceled orders.

    My question is, is there a chance for fiverr to lower that 20% off the fee for order, since we all pay taxes and in the end we end up in 50% giving away. So imagine, you worked all day for  100 usd, almost half away goes to you guys and half to our goverment. I think its not fair. 

     

    Also i have seen people using same gig videos in past with different profiles, i reported each of them gave CS alot of evidence, and you guys just ignored!

    I agree, but since i am in Rap music video industry, you cant imagine what kind of people of low budget shaky footage and not even basic understanding of camera how to film comes and sends me 98% of them big artist videos what are done in teams and budget around 30 thousands, asking to recreate some effect for 50 usd, while booking cheapest gig and asking for premium otherwise leaving a bad review. And it happens every 2 month atleast 2-5 of them.

    I would really like to know your cancellation rate! Because if you are complaining you are one of those sellers who has a high cancel rate.

    Want to know my cancellation rate? 2 orders canceled in the last 60 days, how do I do? I communicate with my clients.

    So why should I care about this new option? This new option made me happy, this will drive some sellers out of Fiverr and I will have more traffic to my services and Fiverr will increase the rate of happy customers!

    and by the way this is my honest opinion, I know you won't like it.

    Here you go, buyer canceled one because he didn't like the edit, even though I added lyrics that are in a premium gig, and gave a 100 USD discount. Since I had free time and was bored. I canceled two, one because the person booked the cheapest gig for 1 minute, and asked for 3-minute video edit, and didn't want to pay extra for that missing 2 minutes of edit. And the second one just didn't send me any information and didn't reply.

    This new option seems made to make sellers communicate more with customers and not deliver late orders... If you're complaining about this change, it could mean that you are one of those sellers who doesn't communicate and deliver often late orders... and it will make unhappy customers ....

    • 50% of canceled orders will most likely be negative reviewed 
    • If you have 10% cancelations of 100 orders that is approximate 5 negative reviews

    If they cancel order, they get money back. So this doesnt even make sense hahah

    i had a sucess manager who was angry i dont have a web cam to use when i contacted with them for the first time. After his negative speech canceled right away.

I gave him 1 star because he behaved terrible . He offered me more works in the chat , that he wants to work with me on a bigger project . If he didn't like my work, why would he offer more works ? I blocked him . Later he contacted to customer support , and he intentionally changed the review to 1 star and commented things that were not truth . So if a buyer can do anything in this platform, how can a seller survive ? And become a successful seller won't be possible ever . I raised this issue to customer support . I really don't know what will happen , I gave my honest review he gave it too , he said he was amazed by my work etc . And suddenly he changes it few days later don't buy from him , this seller should be removed from this website your project will suffer . This is not fair . I am feeling really sad . Fiverr is the only way where I earn money . I wish someone could help in this matter .

    In some fields it can get very expensive, true. That being said, you can ask for any price you feel comfortable with, that covers taxes and the Fiverr cut. I am in my 10th year on the platform and my base price has always been $5. But with this new measure I see a lot of abuse coming in, so I think it's finally time to increase prices.

    Yup, time to raise price by 100 , escaping low budget  rude clients.

    Yup, nobody is happy.

     

    Invested in powerfull  pc to work on my gigs 5 000 

    I pay for electricity 90 usd a month

    Subscriptions to provide fiverr clients products 70 usd

    Than they take 20% off as a fee, than i pay 25% for my goverment.

    In the end actually to work on fiverr from completed work i get only 35% in income. Sometimes its even less than a guy who makes burgers living stress free life and have free on weekends, and he is getting pension and other insurances paid from work.

    Fiverr doesn't have experts in every field and they specifically don't tackle the service quality. So even if you worked hard to please the buyer that doesn't mean you met their expectations. They can't also force a buyer to be ok with something they dislike. 

    You have the Seller Plus Request to Order feature where people can't order unless they talk with you first.

    Also Where your signed consultant, jump on you in private conversation when you get a zoom meeting and you dont have a web camera, and telll you he will not help you if you dont buy it lol.

    Getting 100 usd order

    Editing crappy footage for 4 days, more than 8h a day. Paying my bills of subscriptions, electricity bills, internet bills, answering them every hour even in middle of night. Getting order canceled, because buyer didnt read description or expected on my gig video to recieve same quality what is shot with profesional teams, but he got amateur footage and big expectations. 

    Working in weekend, just to deliver as they wanted to be delivered

    100 usd cancelation because buyer is .... and didnt read or understand, or missplaced order for cheapest pack and expect premium.

     

    So in the end

    4-9 days of slaving for free work

    Electricity bils -5 usd, internet bills -5 usd, app cost -10 usd, loosing mind, food costs - 10 , coffe costs - 10

    And in a bonus you get, de ranked, high drop in to the rank, plus negative private feedback + negative review.

     

    So in the end that means you spent more money to do free work, and you get bad  feedback, on work where you actually spent your own money and time and resources. Good job fiverr.

     

     

    WORKING AT MCDONALDS AND NOT GIVING A SINGLE F WORD IS MORE REWARDING AND MORE USEFUL THAN CONTINUE TO WORK AT FIVERR. AND IN SOME CASES EVEN MORE REWARDING IN MONEY LOL

    Buyer Type 'Two' - Just places an order without contact.

    I will review the requirements - anything missing or 'wrong' I will initiate a cancellation (Reason - Missing Requirements) - no delivery means no review.  Alternatively I will write the buyer and again question the hell out of them - if they seem as though they may be a 'problem' - I will just cancel the order without a delivery.

    Outcome = Bad customer experience / Loss of income for me / Loss of Profit For Fiverr

    This is a perfect 'Lose / Lose / Lose' situation - the person who came up with this definitely deserves a promotion........

     

     

     

    The same idea I had.

    Fiverr will see a huge loss in the income from the platform, I can definitely see that.

    I took a lot of projects already and stepped up to buyers offering free stuff, just to not get cancelation. Now I will be questioning them a lot, making Zoom calls just to feel the vibe if they even fit my work, and so on. Will have more time with my family, but less income. From one point its good, but from another point not.

    As a seller being above 90% cancel rate means you can have 1out of 10 orders canceled for whatever reason but now that option is gone .So even if client is rude, abusive etc you dont have any safety whatsoever 😄 good luck to everyone

    Time to move to other platforms, like upwork, guru and etc. I introduced you to fiverr, time to find other place.

Clients don't read your description, book cheaper packages, asking for premium package quality, when you don't give them, or ask for extra payment to be made, they cancel it, so now it will not only ruin their status but also leave negative feedback for other clients looking at your work or reviews, thank you Fiverr, after making 100k in two years, paying 20% fee from order and tips, than paying 25 percent to my government for tax, its time to go away to other websites to work. 

    Working as a video editor, clients sent bad footage, expect to be made as a cinema, then you have spent 1-4 days of work, they cancel it, so you loose 4 days, which means around 400 of us + negative ratings on your profile, and then also bad review, amazing guys. You are pushing yourself to death row.

    Thank you Fiverr, you are losing a lot of sellers with this change.
