Fiverr is an online marketplace that allows freelancers to offer their service or product starting at $5.00. I started out on Fiverr as a buyer and had varied success. I begin to think of what I could do to make some money on the side with Fiverr. In this article, I am going to share the techniques I have used to optimize your Fiverr gigs to make a decent amount of money each month. If you are thinking of becoming a seller on Fiverr, there are certain things you can do to stand out on the platform and quickly start making money. In this article, I am going to share with you the tactics I have used to make a decent amount of money each and every month and they are: Make Use of Descriptive Videos: One of the first things you need to do is to ensure all of your Gigs have a great looking and descriptive Gig video. Fiverr touts that Gigs with videos convert almost 300 percent better than those without a video. If you are not a great videographer and don’t know where to start, there are some fantastic Gigs on Fiverr that you could purchase very inexpensively to do it for you. Make use of High-Quality Images: Another thing you can do to make your gigs stand out is to ensure the Gig image is high quality and is relative to what your gig is about. I use a site called GraphicStock to get all of my images for my gigs and this website. For your profile picture , use a real photo. People need to know that they are working with a real person. One advantage of this is your potential buyer can get to know you a little bit via your picture. Avoid using avatars or cartoon image unless the service you’re offering is related to design and the profile Pic is a piece of your sample work. Offer 24 hours Delivery: There are two trains of thought with this one, is in the beginning of your Fiverr seller career it’s good practice to set your delivery time at one day. This allows your gig to stand out, and it puts you in the category of express delivery when buyers are sorting by delivery time. Once you are an established seller on Fiverr, it might be smart to set your delivery time to 2-3 days and then offer a gig extra to provide express delivery, allowing you to make more money per sale.Buyers always will prefer a fast delivery of their requests. With that being said, the first thing they will search for is sellers who have good reputations and deliver quickly. Create Multiple Similar Gigs: As a Fiverr seller, you are allowed to create more than just one gig depending on the level of seller you are. Always try and have many different gigs that are similar, as this will help you rank for different keywords and will get your gigs seen by more buyers. Another benefit of having multiple gigs is the ability to cross-promote them to bring in more sales from the different gigs. If you have gigs that are in similar categories, always make sure you are linking to your rating (if it’s positive), and your other similar gigs. Optimize your gig for search ranking: Fiverr search is identical to Google; it’s a search engine. With that being said, you need to practice good SEO strategies when creating your gigs. Here are some good SEO practices to keep in mind when creating your gigs. Use your target keyword in your gig title. The title length should not be more than 60 characters. And use optimal titles for your gig.The title structure should be —> Primary Keyword – Secondary Keyword | Brand nameYour main focus should be the primary and secondary keyword in your gig title.Fiverr will not allow you to keyword stuff your titles or descriptions, BUT you do want to sprinkle in the keywords in your description. Don’t go crazy with this, thoughLinking to your other gigs and profile page can help rank your gigs and profile higher.Use your target keyword in your video and images.Reviews matter… A Lot:Fiverr has a rating system like most marketplaces, and one of the best ways for you to rank quickly is to get some 5-star positive ratings under your belt. Thre are multiple ways of doing this quickly, BUT the one that I prefer is to undercharge and over deliver. Also, you can contact family and friends and send them a few bucks to purchase your gig and then have them leave you a few positive reviews to jumpstart your gig, BUT be careful with this one. A method that I have found to work is to when you are delivering your order send a message along with the files that say something like this: Good ratings on your gig signals to Fiverr that this gig is performing well and loved by customers and has the potential to grow substantially and in return, your gig will receive higher ranking in Fiverr. Get more gig favorites:Getting more gig favorites isn’t an easy stuff because most times we tend to join favorite exchange threads on social networking sites like facebook, twitter and google+ and after that those favorited your gig will simply unfavorite your gig so that thiers can rank higher but I found an easier, effective and very permanent way of getting more gig favorites when I stumbled upon a gig that could do that for me. Promote Your Gig Outside Fiverr:This one is fairly self-explanatory. If you are not promoting your gigs outside of Fiverr, you are doing it wrong. With so many different social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube, Podcasting) you need to be utilizing these tools to share and promote your gigs as much as possible. Think outside of the box — > Use fun hashtags on Twitter, make a video on YouTube around the keyword you are targeting in your gig, and just do anything you can to bring in new clients.
