  1. I would confirm with the ToS. This question has come up before and the answer was NO. Still, get the straight goods from the ToS so you’ll understand why the answer is NO.
  2. SPOILER ALERT! I have used the “Promoted Gigs” feature. Don’t rely on the “suggested bid” figure to get you seen. I TRIPLED and QUADRUPLED that figure then started getting jobs. I think the “Promoted Gigs” feature can be very helpful for Sellers seeking more work and are not afraid to spend money to make money. If increasing your bid amount scares you, then you are probably not going to win a lot of bids against more aggressive Sellers. Good luck.
  3. I know my numbers are down in 2020 partly due to COVID. I’ve had regular clients tell me they have shifted from hiring freelancers to doing work in-house on their websites due to the uncertainty they have regarding buying online. Will 2021 be different? I am thinking of unique Gigs to offer that may find me a different niche than I’ve been in and I may see success with that…or not. However, I am looking to 2021 with hope. We’ll see how it goes.
  4. At first, I wondered what the point was in having FAQs answered with my Gigs. Then I kept getting asked questions that I thought were clearly explained in the Gig description. So, I added a few FAQs to match those questions. In a few of my Gigs I have also included a question where the Buyer gets asked for information regarding the Gig. One question is along the lines of: “Have you read the FAQs and fully understand what you are getting with this Gig?” It has cut down on the number of times I’ve had to refer people to the FAQs…that’s the thing. You can have FAQs but not everyone is going to bother to read them.
  5. What you should be doing is taking a look at what skills you have. Then make a list of potential Gigs you can offer from that. Don’t waste your time trying to find a “magic” way to win on Fiverr. It won’t work.
  6. Agree with everything except the above. If you just “throw together” any old gig and cannot offer a professional service all the patience in the world will not make you successful. Buyers are not stupid and they can see if a photo is false, a gig description has been copied or a writing gig has a description full of grammatical errors. True. There has to be quality in the Gig and it has to be something the Seller can actually do. Thanks for adding that.
  7. Review websites are telling people that they can “get rich quick” at freelance sites like Fiverr. The truth is, that is incorrect. Sure, you can make money here. Some can earn good full-time wages. But if you ask any of them they will tell you it took months and years to get to that level of income on Fiverr. That’s the reality of the situation. Plus, there is a lot of competition at a site like this. It takes time to get noticed. Just be patient. It’ll come.
  8. I’m at 26%. At first it was fun but now that I have clients in 40+ countries, the map is just a visual way to show me what I’ve been doing. My goal is not to reach a certain level of “World Domination.” My goal here is to work steady and remain working steady.
  9. Just my two cents… What I would have done was used the same delivery window on each Gig, say, 7 days. Then in each gig where you list extras I would have charged extra for 4 days, 3 days, 2 days delivery with the cost going up slightly for each step. I think that shows that for faster delivery, it is goning to cost more. It’ll also make you a bit more on each Gig ordered for faster delivery. I’m just thinking of value-added here.
  10. I’m sorry to hear that. Yes, fingers crossed that you can gain some ground once you are able to start promoting your gigs. Best of luck to you!
  11. Thanks for the clarification. I’ve been working steady for a couple of clients, so maybe that’s why I haven’t noticed not being in searches. I have received one order so far from a new client through the promoted gig of mine and that’s in just two days of promotion. Maybe try to “jazz up” your gig details? Just a suggestion. I’ve changed the title of mine often to keep it looking fresh.
  12. From what I understand, you do NOT lose your organic search visibility. Or, at least that’s what it says in one of the FAQs under the promoted gigs page. I’m still getting views on top of my promoted gig. I believe the promoted gig gets MORE exposure when you paid PPC for it. Just my understanding.
  13. Funny. I did do a search, found some chatter but still felt it was necessary to ask the question myself. Imagine that! lol
  14. I just started using the promoted gig feature to “advertise” one of my gigs. So far, in a couple of days I’ve had 100+ impressions, 2 clicks, and one job. I have been tweaking it along the way by changing the description of the gig and increasing the bid price. I’m just curious if anyone else has seen much success through this relatively new Fiverr feature. I think it can be a good tool to use as it is a PPC model. Feedback? Thanks! George
