  1. I'm not sure how to articulate this; But this private questions following the review, somehow provoke buyer to leave negative feedback! I don't know how to prove this theory; it could perhaps stem from a moral quandary inherent to human nature.
  2. I see this "Private question" a very unpopular thing! I mean... It sounds very hypocritical!!! The client says you are the best of the best ... yeahhhh... blah blah blah... and then BEHIND you: It was poor! Its just sick. Did you ask your seller what you need??? Alright, Fiverr some how concluded they should have this "private question" thing on their platform. Alright.... but, Should this hypocritical thing have that much of density?! That much effective?! I don't think so!
  3. There is no "secret sauce". Ingredients are obvious. It is obvious what Fiverr aiming for. Fiverr wants Faster and sustainable income. Like every other companies. That literally means Sellers should: Deliver faster, (Like as before) Avoid cancellations (Like as before) Absorb more customers; which literally means better communication and engagements (which might be new in the new evaluation system using AI, via monitoring chats), Good reviews (Like as before) Good feedback on Private questions(Like as before) They might want to get rid of slow income services like Animation and Motion graphics. Not sure. They might think like, Okay, every category will have it's inherent competition, so It will be ranked according to the category characteristics, and for that, they will be using AI again. But I am not sure if it works correctly and there will be some bleeding in the new system. It will effectively help to get rid of scammers though. They still will have the "newcommers" support, because they will not be able to remove that unspoken rule.
  4. As far as I know and see and analyzed the new system, I can never rise again on fiverr with the new evaluating system. My gig's impression, from >10k went down to <30 now. I can never get any new order again, to prove my talents to the new system any more. Before I was qualified for top seller level. Now I am zero level.
  5. My pricing for animation services is structured based on priority, considering factors such as the time dedicated to a project, video duration, and the complexity of characters and scenes. The latter two factors are inherently encompassed within the time spent on a project.
  6. Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Hand Brake (for resizing video. I thought I have to mention it 🙂 )
  7. Short answer: Gig's description, Price, one Image, Keywords I was thinking the same way! For years, I hesitated to make any changes, as I was told that updating the gig could decrease impressions due to the algorithm needing time to reset. However, recently, someone pointed out a strange spacing issue in my gig's description and suggested that updating it might help. Taking their advice, I not only fixed the spacing but also completely revamped the gig with new images, tags, and relevant keywords. 2 months ago, I found myself somewhat forgotten on Fiverr (it was like so for a year). In an attempt to attract more attention, I decided to slash my rates by 70%. However, after more than two months with no significant results, I decided to revert back to my original prices. It's been an interesting experiment, but the impact on visibility and results has been mixed at best.
  8. So, 2 days after my last update, was great! So, does updating your gig description work? I guess most probably yes 🙂
  9. Not bad... in the 6th day after updating my gig descriptions.... I'm not excited, but it is hopeful.
  10. Hey Fiverr Community, Yesterday, someone on another Fiverr thread suggested updating my gig description might reset the algorithm and boost visibility. I'm not convinced yet but decided to give it a shot. Quick background: I've been selling on Fiverr for 5 years, specializing in motion graphics and animation. The last two years have seen a decline in my gig's performance, and the past year has been slow for orders. Before considering leaving Fiverr, I'm testing a few things. I updated my gig description yesterday and now waiting to see if it makes a difference. I'll keep you all posted on the results. Please follow this thread to make sure you are not missing the news. If you've tried similar strategies or have insights, share them below. Let's learn from each other's experiences in navigating the Fiverr landscape. Looking forward to updates and discussions!
  11. What is this about? Is there anywhere on Fiverr where we can do charity? I thought it was only a freelancing website.
  12. -If we're discussing Fiverr promotion, the truth is I've invested in Fiverr's monthly promotion, but unfortunately, I haven't seen the desired results. -In my specific field, which is motion graphics and animations, AI hasn't made significant advances yet. From what I've observed daily, AI struggles to produce high-quality work in this area. Nevertheless, your point is spot on – AI is advancing, and it's something we all need to consider/be worried about for the future.
  13. I believe it's time for a tough decision. I'm uncertain about the prospect of receiving new orders, and even if there are some trickling in, it's been minimal over the past year. In the last two months, I've only managed around 6 orders, all with 5-star ratings and tips, but totaling less than $200 – quite low in comparison. Keeping the account feels like holding onto a lost cause, as it demands my attention with little return.
  14. Hey Fiverr fam, Here in the "Casual conversations " forum, let me tell you my story in short. Well, it's been a wild ride - five years of juggling gigs, some acing deliveries, and occasionally pretending my cat is my office manager. But lately, it seems like the Fiverr algorithm and I are engaged in a passionate game of hide-and-seek, and spoiler alert: I'm losing. Despite my positive reviews, creating more gigs than a magician has rabbits, and practically giving away my services (I've considered paying clients to hire me at this point🤪), my rank is doing a disappearing act that even Houdini would applaud.😄 last month, I've lowered my prices so much I'm practically offering a service for the price of a cup of coffee (and not the fancy kind, mind you) as it was in the first year. How was my second year? Great. Third? Hmmmm, good. But fast forward to today, and I'm feeling like the star of a magic show where the only thing disappearing is my income. Maybe it's time to take my talents elsewhere, or at least see if there's a career opportunity in competitive Jenga. Here's to hoping I can find a platform where my gigs can shine as brightly as my cat thinks she does. Im not sure yet, but mayb it is time to say Farewell, Fiverr, you've been a rollercoaster of frelance fun! 🎢😸 Please let me know what you thing about that 🙏
  15. Suddenly I don't receive them either. It's about a month, that I don't receive them that much. before that, There was around 5 briefs each day, but since last month, I might be receiving less than 3 for whole month!
  16. My experience on fiverr; EVERY TIME cs claimed that "This will not impact your career" It did! Hardly! Even though I proved it, they insist on their claims.
  17. Between 2018 and 2021, things were going great for me. However, the years 2022 and 2023 turned out to be a total mess, especially on Fiverr, where just one order cancellation can have a massive impact. Let me explain this in the context of my field, which is motion graphics and animation. In our line of work, we typically handle a relatively low number of orders per month. Accepting around 2 or 3 orders is common. But here's the catch: if even one of these orders gets canceled, it hits hard on our "order completion rate," causing a significant drop of around 15% to 20%. What's worse is that this negative impact stays with us for a whole 60 days. When the next evaluation comes around on the 15th of each month, we lose our "Seller Two" badge, get demoted to level one, and consequently lose our "Gig promotion" ability. But it doesn't end there; in the following evaluation, we lose our "Level One" badge too, because the previous month's drop affected the number of orders we received and our Gig promotion ability. Regaining our seller ranks takes a long time, around 3rd and 4th months after that one unfortunate "order cancellation," which, mind you, can happen for various reasons. It feels like an eternity to get back on track. During this period, if we are lucky, some returning buyers might show up and provide a bit of income to keep us going. It's a tough situation, but we have to persevere and hope for better times ahead.
  18. Based on what you've shared, it looks like your gig's performance has been a bit up and down. The sudden drop in impressions could be because of different things like changes in how Fiverr does things or even how many other sellers are in your category. To help get your gig back on track, you might want to double-check your gig's info and keywords. Make sure they really show off what you do and target the right people. Sometimes, just tweaking your description and tags can make a big difference in how easily folks find you. If you've already done that and you're still having issues, contact Fiverr support. They've got access to all kinds of data and can dig into why your gig's impressions have taken a hit lately and they can say if your gig is active.
  19. Welcome back to Fiverr! Regarding your question about gig impressions and views, it's important to note that Fiverr does not include your own views and impressions in the overall statistics as far as I exprimented myself. The platform is designed to provide an accurate representation of external users' engagement with your gig. Therefore, the views and impressions you generate while viewing your own gig are not factored into the official metrics. If you're interested in tracking the performance of your gig, I recommend to rely on the data provided by Fiverr's analytics and insights. These metrics will give you a clearer understanding of how your gig is performing among potential buyers.
  20. I completely agree with you! It would be beneficial for Fiverr to leverage AI technology and make the system smarter. If they want to prioritize new buyers, they could implement features that provide helpful hints or reminders during the buying process to ensure better understanding. For example, they could explicitly mention that rating on fiverr is a little bit different than school and a 5 out of 5 rating represents complete satisfaction, rather than leaving room for confusion with a 4 out of 5 rating. Maybe, Fiverr could consider adjusting the privileges or reducing the impact of negative feedback for new buyers, at least until they have a better grasp of how the platform works. Another example; Fiverr should take into account the differences between gig categories when calculating cancellation rates. It's crucial to recognize that cancellation rates can vary significantly depending on the type of service being offered. For instance, a motion graphics artist and animator like me, who receives only a few orders per month should not be penalized in the same way as a voice artist who handles numerous orders daily. By implementing more nuanced calculations, Fiverr can ensure fair evaluation and ranking for sellers across different gig types. (I lose my seller ranks for 4 months every time I get a cancellation!!!!!) Overall, making the system smarter and more adaptable would greatly benefit both sellers and buyers on the platform.
  21. Build a Strong Portfolio: Creating a strong portfolio of your work is essential for potential buyers to get an idea of your skillset and style. Make sure to showcase your best work and keep your portfolio updated regularly. Know Your Target Market: Identifying your tarrget market is key to selling your logo designs. Determine the type of businesses or industries you want to work with and tailor your designs to their needs and preferences. Offer Custom Designs: Offering custom designs to clients is a great way to stand out in the marketplace. This allows you to create unique and personalized logos that fit the specific needs of each client. Provide Great Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is crucial to building a good reputation on Fiverr. Always communicate clearly with your clients, deliver work on time, and be open to feedback and revisions. Price Your Services Appropriately: Research what other logo designers are charging and price your services accordingly. Be mindful of your experience level and the quality of your work when determining your rates. Promote Your Services: Utilize social media platforms and other marketing tools to promote your logo design services. This can help you reach a larger audience and attract potential clients. Overall, it takes time and effort to establish yourself as a successful logo designer on Fiverr. Focus on providing quality work, excellent customer service, and promoting your services to potential clients. Finally, when you receive orders, try to Avoid Cancellation under any circumstances.
  22. 🙂 Maybe I supposed to change the term to "The golden time". I dunno, It's my English. But the point is clear I guess... and maybe some people deny it. But I know it's there.
  23. I've been selling animation and motion graphics on Fiverr for about 5 years. My issue is different. I'm inquiring about other sellers' strategies in this regard.
