  1. impressions go low while your stats performances decrease. seems something impossible to solve yes? impressions go down day by day, and this brings less orders, but you have lower performance and impressions will never raise this way 😉
  2. maybe a tip from Santa, checking your chimney and studying for a math test all together! 😀
  3. descriptions, tags and keywords are important, but alone do not assure a top ranking. initially you must promote yourself (in the ways accepted by Fiverr) and start obtaining your first orders. When you'll have important stats and a constant flow of orders, you'll appear in top charts.
  4. you must promote your services (in the ways accepted by Fiverr). Initially you'll be "alone", and many give up. If you are constant in quality, and improve day by day, one day you'll appear in top charts and begin having a solid flow of orders.
  5. welcome! Fiverr is an impressive service and probably the most important platform for remote working and freelancing. Its importance will also change the future of jobs marketplace as we know it, since remote working will become more and more solid month after month.
  6. I was hoping things were different after few months but what I feel from the Forum today is the same old story: dozens of threads about "let's try and see what happens". There are so many ones that still need to learn the lesson: freelancing is not "let's try", it's something to be considered inside a career path. Means you have studied, you have experience, you have skills, you are talented, you have testimonials and so on. It's just a branch in a complete career tree. Approaching it in a different way will ruin the experience of anyone in general, not just the veteran ones but the entire marketplace. Your ideas?
  7. sometimes portfolios are underestimated. I suggest to create an impressive portfolio so the customers know what are your skills and your talent.
  8. welcome! Fiverr is a freelancing experience that should be included in a career path of a professional. So I suggest first improving your skills, creating a career and then considering about freelancing. I'm not saying "give up" but the opposite 🙂 study each day to improve, and create an impressive portfolio.
  9. the interesting thing is that many many sellers are not english sellers, and in a worldwide marketplace like ours, the quality of the products is more important than the descriptions grammar. But yes, good grammar is a plus but not a game changing issue.
  10. While many are sellers, (the posters) the forum is open to anyone, anyway 🙂 but my suggestion is not for selling, but for branding, reputation. Forum profile is also very good for this.
  11. There are different forms of art. Being artists is even more deep than just uploading things, it's a way of life, of seeing life (symbols, intuition, feelings). Indeed this is art. 🙂👍
  12. yes, interesting, but if you have a "your name Inc." instead, means you are an amateur (my two cents, please 🙂 ). And this is totally the opposite of what I always explain here, that freelancing must be part of a more complete professional career, and before freelancing you must make stronger your career (or begin one and learn skills).
  13. that's amazing! I was trying to figure a common trend of my sales as well, but events appeared explaining my ideas were wrong: as example, I was thinking summer to be the worst period: wrong and so on. I think that we could find a realistic behaviour of the customers with a constant views number of our GIGs but our views change continually so it's not so easy.
  14. Congratulations, Sabine, for your anniversary 🙂 I give you a tip, not for the GIG, but for the Forum profile. I understand you don't want to change the picture, but maybe you could add a couple of info lines in the Forum "about me" section? I think the Forum profile is important as well 🙂
  15. Ciao 🙂 I am back in the Forum since a long time... it seems having more interesting topics lately
  16. eh, I add myself a watermark when sending demos in the chat window, but a real official watermark from Fiverr would be the best. Of course in the Delivery I can't add watermarks "per rules"...
  17. exactly, consider also that there are thousands of GIGs and how many matches could be every day? hundreds or less probably. So it's normal to not receive a match for months.
  18. Yes, exactly as the title. My Fiverr experience so far is very powerful. Powerful the experience and powerful Fiverr with all its tools and ideas and features. The creation of a normal marketplace and a business marketplace, the seller plus feature, the events, the algorithm, the charts. Anything I'm seeing during these years is very powerful. I love it, totally love it. Only thing I really would like Fiverr to implement is the audio watermark to protect the audio material. It's something I'm waiting since so much time. But anyway, all the rest is totally fantastic. I'm very sorry of the complains I read, the threads of sellers having issues. I know initially is difficult, but if you don't consider this, and you study the platform and the technology. All fits perfectly. Something I really like is the Fiverr mobile homepage. Initially there is the search which is very useful, then the list of the marketplace categories. All very intutive and clear. Are you searching "film score"? that's fantastic: the list, the options (as example local sellers), and you can have different sort and filter options. Let's not forget the tags! Anything is great and very well done. Please do something for the audio watermarks, except this, all the rest is amazing and perfect! 🙂
  19. This is not related to Fiverr, but something in general relating to my field, which is music and audio. This can of course be useful also for other fields, anyway. But how to deal with requests from other fellow musicians, as example when they ask you suggestions and tips to improve their career? I remember the first year of my career, I was exactly in the same situation but the opposite direction. It was I, requesting help. Yes, because initially we lack so many knowledge of the industry that it's obvious to ask help from the veteran professionals. Today I receive many requests. I can't answer all of them, many are clearly spam, or "strange requests", it's easy to recognize them. But the requests coming from heart? those that are true? from really fellow musicians in need? I try to help the most I can, means giving the tips I can. I mean, in our experience we created presets, know how and scripts that are very personal. I mean, our style or fingerprint or know how. We can't share this, but anything else like standard procedures, news, tips to improve. Yes, the most we can, I think we can and we must help the others. So, what do you think of this topic?
  20. indeed, patience is important. I won't quote any important historical figure. But patience is anyway an important point, a reply to dozens of threads I read lately. sellers who can't wait, can't focus, can't understand that freelancing is just a part of a professional career. means we are professionals, we are not "trying" something we are reading in the "trending jobs" news. well, I hope so for many of you, since I presume we are all professionals and skilled.
  21. "huge" is a difficult word. I mean, what does mean exactly? you can get some exposure, but you need to advertise (in the ways accepted by Fiverr). Just check the rules and see what can be done.
  22. 100 impressions per day is a good goal to reach, means 700 per week. But consider that top sellers have thousands of impressions per week to be contacted daily by leads. And yes it's a long journey. As I said often, freelancing must be included in a professional path, where you have an outstanding portfolio and resume, experience, skills and know how. Checking "what's trending this year in the jobs" and then "trying" to see if you can get an order, doesn't work. It's useless and senseless. Create a career, that's my suggestion.
  23. indeed, descriptions and keywords are important. But if you have low ratings o you have done just a couple of orders, you'll never appear in the charts. I suggest new sellers to just focus on improving their skills for many many months and advertise their talent (in the ways accepted by Fiverr). That's all. Then go back to the stats in a few months and see if anything has changed. But if you have no orders, you won't be in the charts.
  24. before doing wrong choices, please read first what kind of advertising Fiverr accepts. marketing can be very confusing, 90% of the time you can just improve your portfolio to attract the customers. your demos clearly show what you can do and are the best way to describe your skills.
  25. I think the best way to find the right seller for you is studying their demos. a portfolio gives all the details you need to understand if that's the right choice or not. said that, competition is impressive, I understand new sellers have problems but they need to study and improve the most they can. said that there is also another issue, which is: Fiverr is not a beginners tool. it's to be considered in a career path, of a skilled professional.
