  1. Your sexism. And if that wasn’t what you meant, your English sucks, and you shouldn’t be offering writing services.
  2. Wow... I would be so livid if it were me. I thought they wanted to focus more on business buyers... the Fiverr Pros. And they have also just recently increased the number of Fiverr Pro sellers. This does not seem logical. I'm suddenly very worried about the order I have in queue from a new buyer.
  3. Your gig looks great, but you should read the Terms of Service. You are not allowed to link to Discord, for example.
  4. And we still get the pleasure of being accused of not giving back to the community!
  5. That buyers will be able to rate our pre-purchase communication without even ordering. Some "genius" buyer presented that idea on the forum a couple of weeks back.🙄
  6. To improve at chess, it would be a good idea to start working on learning simple tactics. Also, the Fried Liver Attack is easy to learn and can be fun for beginners.
  7. Hey! Thanks so much for the tag! I just wrote such a long post, but I moved to another page, moved back here, pressed the wrong button, and it's all gone. 😡 Anyway, I'll summarize it: 2023: Trying to heal my traumas from taking care of my girlfriend for six years when she had cancer, depression, etc. I feel like I'm starting to get a little better with the help of a therapist. Working on getting back to feeling like "myself" again as I can finally start doing stuff for myself again. I earned less on Fiverr than in 2022. I'm working on a narrative game, and people have started making fan art of my characters, which makes me happy. EDIT: And I was made Pro, but I don't really care about that. Felt kinda random since I didn't apply for it, and it doesn't feel like an accomplishment. Hopes for 2024: Release a demo for my game, run a successful Kickstarter, and restart my YouTube channel, which got demonetized this year at 90K subscribers but with new content that will allow me to get monetized again. That's some burn. 😂 It's an insane asylum.
  8. But then you said this: It's impossible for me to understand what you mean. Anyway, good luck.
  9. But you didn't quit your job... and that's the title of the post... 😵‍💫
  10. You start out by stating “I received 3.7 stars.” This is a very confrontational way to start a conversation. A buyer will likely get embarrassed or defensive when faced with this sort of communication. They might tell you that they made a mistake or that they didn’t mean to leave that rating just to make you stop being angry at them. In reality, it might’ve been the rating they meant to leave all along.
  11. You’re playing a very dangerous game confronting your clients about their reviews.
  12. It's a scam. Report them to Fiverr here if you haven't already: https://www.fiverr.com/support_tickets The seller even has a fake profile picture.
  13. Yes, but I don't think it'll always be as fun as you're probably imagining it to be. Some developers will probably want you to test out every single little option in the game to check for bugs.
  14. I totally agree. I definitely have many issues with the private reviews as they are now—both from a buyer and seller perspective—and it's a very annoying process if you order a lot of things. It's just important to note that some sellers get absolutely deranged when they get a bad review, and a lot of people on this forum never buy anything or do so very rarely, so they don't get to see that side of things. And it really has to be seen to be believed. But as it is now, it doesn't make much sense. If you give a buyer a negative review, they can punish you with a negative private review of their own. It isn't very logical.
  15. You can leave a private review without leaving a public review. I have given a seller a bad private review once without giving them a public review, as I did not like their work. It would have been equivalent to a 3-star public review or similar, but I did not feel like leaving that in public—the reason being that I have been harassed by sellers in the past for leaving a negative review. One even went as far as to try to find Instagram profiles that he thought looked like me and presented them to me, likely to threaten me. None of them looked like me, so I got him to stop by asking him if he thinks all white people look the same. Sometimes, you just don't want the hassle of a seller going crazy over a fair review. For this reason, I like the private review. However, I do feel it should be presented at the same time as the public review. As you say, it's annoying to have to leave feedback twice.
  16. And what happens when a seller gets Top Rated Plus, then? There will again be no new milestones. Another new badge?
  17. I don't remember making any mistakes, to be honest. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I was well-prepared, having lurked on the forum for a while (without logging in) before I started selling. I also have a degree in business and had been a buyer for 18 months before I opened my first gig, so I knew exactly what to do to attract buyers. The best advice I can give to a new seller is to be a buyer first. You get a true sense of what your potential clients are looking and searching for. What profiles you might choose over others and why, etc. Also, you should learn that you don't have to say yes to every order. Some people are not worth working with and will only make your life miserable. Learn how to spot red flags.
