  1. There is no reason to exchange files outside of Fiverr. You are able to exchange up to 2g of file size. The platform is very strict with taking business outside of Fiverr and your protections are gone and you risk your profile getting banned. Buyers can be very tricky so stick to your rules! You may lose an order in the beginning, but you will gain many more in the future if you stand by the platform rules. You should read the Terms of Service https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service?mobile_app_web=true
  2. Such a wonderful milestone! May I offer some advice? The English on your thumbnail is not correct. It’s just some simple fixes like: “I Offering You” should say, “I am offering you” I would eliminate unlimited revisions if I were you. Also, you may want to change the phrase “money back guarantee” to, “satisfaction guarantee” These are just small suggestions. Please reach out if you need to.
  3. This new extension time is still way better than any other platform which makes you chase down the money! I don’t work on other platforms because of this reason. I don’t have time to keep hounding people for payment. I think this option is a good thing for buyers. Put yourself in their place. If the 3 days is looming and you are afraid it will pass because perhaps you are new on the platform… and you aren’t sure if the seller will even help you once it’s completed. I personally tell people that I will work with them until it’s done! So perhaps Fiverr and sellers were feeling a bit “left out to dry” and needed a professional way to extend some reassurance to the buyers. It would be great if there were caps on the amount of days like no more than 3 days or 2 extensions. So as a seller, you should define your revision policies in your order requirements so the buyers feel confident going in. I do like the idea that we can extend the days to through the use of a button but buyers have deadlines. If there is a seller abusing this new feature then report it to customer service.
  4. I agree with the logic. You MUST be logical as a freelancer. If you are spending 30 minutes on Zoom for a $20 order and the order takes you 2 hours, your hourly wage drops to $8. The US just raised its minimum wage to $20. You have to do the math. Just saying.
  5. Thank you for explaining the 3 DAWs! Since this post, I invested in a Whisper Room too. I hate to say it… but it really was a game changer for the quality of the audio. The only sound I can’t overcome is a plane flying directly above me and the air conditioner. A New Whisper Room will set you back about $8,000 USD. For me, I saved until I could pay cash. Although business still goes up and down, I feel Confident that no matter what order comes my way, I will be able to send it out with a professional sound. A Digital Audio Workspace will work best if your environment is rumble, hiss, barking, crying, door shutting, refrigerator and buzz free. The recording environment truly makes the difference and you can make a good walk in closet work… it’s just I was sick of working in a hot fort.
  6. Mmmm, I don’t agree that newbies are much more enthusiastic and attentive to details than someone who has been selling on Fiverr for 5 years. For example, this year marks my 5th year on Fiverr. I get just as excited about a $60 order as I do a $500 order. In addition, the detail and care are the same no matter the money I make. In most cases, I never look at the money…I record and do my very best. Every buyer deserves the best quality I can possibly create! My advice to find a quality new seller, is to start a chat with the seller. Are they engaging? Do they respond by actually answering your question with proper grammar, spelling, enthusiasm and honesty? It’s ok for the seller to say that they are on a hike and will respond shortly. We are all people with families, outside interests and hobbies. The seller should be willing and able to connect on a deeper level than just, “hi” “yes” “ok” and have the time to fully explain their thoughts. That’s in my humble opinion of course. If you don’t care about those human qualities, then you may get a message back from me saying, “I don’t think I am a good fit.”
  7. Here are the rules just to clear a few issue up. Sorry 4/5 are not complete. You cannot issue a partial refund through the App.
  8. Staying active means different thing and not just staying on 24 hours a day because that’s just not sustainable. Some buyers do search for those who are online. And the more you are online, the faster you can respond to inquiries and orders which does affect your success.
  9. It’s a good idea to have the clarity from the beginning about the auto completion. If I feel someone needs more time just from the conversation back and forth… like they mention other team members or they will be going on a business trip or whatever, I will mention that the order may auto complete but I am still here if they need tweaks or a small revision even if it auto completes. You can also clarify this in your order requirements by making them agree that they have 3 days to review before the order auto completes. This is an excellent way to help them understand while they place the order.
  10. Love to see some of the names and faces who I know are amazing! It’s late here so I am just popping in the say hello!!
  11. @bunbatam first off welcome to Fiverr! I went on my honeymoon to Bali. Balinese families are some of the most incredible people. We have traveled all over the world so we have a feel for that. We don’t do the tourist thing so we get to know the locals. Also the traditional music is so fantastic too!! Best of luck to you on Fiverr. You should start a local Fiverr Community for freelancers. You can search in the Community section. Melissa
  12. Yoav, This is a fabulous way to get to know other sellers and gain valuable insight to help our fellow peers!
  13. Do you require them to answer all the questions in your order requirements?
  14. I think a cancellation is not as bad as a 1 star review. Cancellations happen to all of us. First try one more time to please your buyer by offering to revise. However, whatever your buyer says about the cancellation is critical if you go to customer support. In my case, the buyer decided on a male voice and the buyer told me that in a message and that is clearly nothing I could do so CS cancelled the order and it did not reflect on my stats. Also, if the buyer said his client changed their mind… again it’s not you…it’s kind of on the buyer… but if the buyer said his client isn’t happy with the result you may be stuck. If you refuse to cancel and the customer gives you a 1 star after completion that may drive your orders down! So it’s like the “lesser of two evils” you have to decide from. For the future, your order requirements need to be rock solid. Make them agree to your revision policy. You can do this by requiring them to answer this question. If they don’t agree the order does not move forward, you have maybe prevented a disaster. Since I stated this out clearly, my buyers have been amazing. I haven’t had a cancellation in over a year and CS cancelled for me because he admitted his client wanted a male. Sometimes, you have to take this fall but PLEASE learn from it and ask how you can prevent it moving forward. Look at your requirements and adjust them accordingly. My advice anyway. Also, this sounds counterintuitive, but raising your prices also avoids some of the jerks out there! Bullies like to pick on the lower hanging fruit because inside they are actually cowards.
  15. First, why is everyone worried about 1 or 2 days to be promoted? If you earned the requirements it will happen. However, to be a Top Rated Seller you will be evaluated by a human being. It took a month for me but some people are not promoted. There are lots of searchable TRS topics in the forum. Relax and enjoy the thought of your upcoming new level!
  16. @donnovan86 I kind of feel the same. My order requirements are already tough and grueling. So to add more questions seems a little cruel to my buyers lol! However, I can see the value to Fiverr because they want to collect information. Some buyer requirements may be very limited so Fiverr is not uncovering valuable insights. Perhaps they are also verifying that the order is for legitimate purposes. For now, buyers haven’t complained so I am letting it ride. I am surprised we didn’t get a notification that they would be adding these questions though.
  17. @shafzone when you change information in your gigs, it takes time for the algorithm to learn your new information. So yes, changing during slow times like holidays is valuable advice. Also, putting yourself on vacation mode will drastically cut the impressions because you are not there to receive orders. Since you said you made changes, this is my best guess. Just be patient and let the algorithm learn your changes. My suggestion is don’t go crazy with changes.. only to drastically improve. We all experience slow times. Don’t worry.
  18. Help others in the forum and explain why you reached this level. I am sure your thoughts would be helpful.
  19. @arifursdev this must be very frustrating and humbling at the same time. It’s very challenging to work so hard and feel you have been wronged. There is a place in Fiverr to Report a Bug or Suggestion. Perhaps you can stay factual and explain that your work does not allow for attachments and suggest to include a secondary button that says you have delivered the order but “no attachment” is verified by the buyer and you have completed the work. I can see how a coder would have this issue. I am sure you are not the only one who may have this issue? So for now the rule that is in place was broken, but the order was delivered in a different format. This is the bug or suggestion— To add a different format besides an attachment for those who work directly with a website etc. at least you have made the suggestion in a formal way. Customer service employees are smart and sophisticated. They are like a judge. A court judge makes judgements based on current law… period. There is no interpretation only facts. However, laws can change. This is why you can report a bug or leave a suggestion. Does this make sense? My dad was a superior court judge for many years so I understand rules and laws. So based on what the current Fiverr law is, the law was broken. It may be the perfect time to suggest an amendment to the law? Melissa
  20. What are the offerings in the premium plan?
  21. That is amazing!! Getting to Level 2 is not easy! It tells me you are doing something right! So the next step is a Top Rated Seller! However, getting to level 1 and 2 is technical. You get to an earnings level, have no warnings etc., but TRS is different. Not only do you need to reach the milestones, but private feedback from your buyers and your professionalism is weighted heavily. I can’t stress to you enough to stay positive with every communication and no matter if it’s here in the forum, with a buyer or as a seller. TRS’s are hand picked by the Fiverr team. Even if you reach the milestones it does not mean you will be selected to have the badge. Yes there are many benefits to becoming a Top Rated Seller. But it’s all about your behavior so please always choose the high road when dealing with difficult buyers or challenging situations. Walk away from your computer and come back with a fresh perspective, then respond. Just my thoughts. And congrats on your Level 2!!
  22. Part of a freelance journey is knowing when to reach out for guidance. To stop and breathe. To reflect on changes both professionally and personally. Lift just gave me a “Lift” by being amazed that the most important freelance platform in the world cares about us as individuals. In times of slow business and global challenges, Fiverr encourages you to look inward. Go back to the basics. I was just having a conversation with my husband about this. I said, “I think about what is really important like health, family, creativity and travel. Freelance allows you to put those things front and center. But sometimes, those important life challenges take time from your day and focus. Just get back to focus when you can and be grateful you have the freedom to choose.” What a fantastic idea. Having the links to the local community events is so helpful. Being able to reach out and meet people in person is so freeing and lovely! Thank you Fiverr!
  23. Yes @strategist_ceo you are correct. Fiverr is very experienced at sorting out what’s good and what’s bad… period. It’s as simple as that. The private review process is REALLY good at revealing the fakes and goof balls. Fiverr has ZERO tolerance for scams, poor service and quality. The scammers will never move up the ranks so they really aren’t your competition. Besides, who wants buyers who are attracted to these kinds of gigs? Cheap, copied, obviously fake skills? Not me!! They are the worst buyers!! Everyone goes through SLOW PERIODS OF ORDERS! I am in one right now! Have faith and try not to blame the stupid fake accounts. So my personal suggestion is report these gigs when you see them. Cut and paste your verbiage to support so it’s less time for you. And move on. Fiverr will figure them out trust me!! Every platform out there has the same problem so it’s certainly not just Fiverr. Stay true to your work and put your precious life energy into goodness. Energy = Growth …either way …so put your energy into YOUR amazing gigs… not theirs!
  24. Fiverr’s Choice is such an honor in my opinion. You are chosen not by an algorithm, but by the wonderful people at Fiverr. Enjoy this badge of honor although the badge doesn’t last long! What lasts is the new buyers who expect the best! As you may have already found out, you should always be ready for Fiverr’s Choice. Once you are chosen, you get very busy so your procedures and practices need to be very tight. Having sloppy work habits is a NO NO! You @shanta570have worked hard and deserve this badge! Well done! Melissa
