  1. And only that, @mariashtelle1 and @vickiespencer. Look how many languages she speaks!! 😃 @vibronx will be delighted to have someone to chat with in his own language!!! 😁
  2. I completely agree with you, Vickie. I'm a children's book translator and proofreader, and I've lost count of how many books are illustrated that way...
  3. I used to reply "And I want the sun, the moon and the stars", but I like your line better—at least, something can be bought with five million dollars. 😂
  4. Imagine you, or any other buyer, giving me a thumbs down just because you didn't like the price I gave you or I declined working with you for whatever reason, and Fiverr hitting my stats. Do you find it fair? Buyers' accounts aren't affected by any metrics, only sellers' accounts.
  5. I flagged a gig on the 13th because the seller is using one of my gig descriptions and the gig is still up. 😑
  6. Ok, glad to know all is good! I would suggest reading Fiverr's ToS and the Help articles (you may find the links at the bottom of the page). By the way, welcome to Fiverr! 🙂
  7. You keep repeating your earnings taking 21 days to clear. Where do you get that from? Earnings take 14 days to clear. So, if your order was completed on the 16th, your funds will be available on the 30th (14 days after completion). And if the order auto-completed, they'll be available on Dec 3rd (14 days after completion, which was on the 19th).
  8. The buyer has already paid for the job, but you will only get the money (80% of the value) after the order has been delivered and marked as complete either by the buyer or the system (auto-complete).
  9. It only means you have spent money. Nothing else. It doesn't speak about your behaviour or professionalism as a buyer.
  10. Sellers should always be polite and behave appropriately regardless of the buyers' badges. Badges really mean nothing. As @visualstudios posted, we have seen scammers and abusers wearing the Fiverr Select and Fiverr Business badges. Having a crown or whatever other symbol doesn't mean that buyer is better than any other buyer who doesn't have it.
  11. You're welcome. No, you can't hide your username. Why would you want to do that?
  12. Hi there! Yes, the username cannot be changed once it's created, but you don't need to open a new account just because of it. You have the option to display your name and I see you're already using it. As for being told your profile pic is not original, upload a new picture of yourself. That's all you need to do. Go to your profile, click on your pic and select a new image.
  13. First of all, and most importantly, change the credentials to the hosting account. Make sure they have no access. Whatever you do next is up to you, honestly. After all, there was no order placed.
  14. Why cancel? Your job is for proofreading, so stick to it. Proofreading has nothing to do with the rest. Editing, fact-checking, etc., are all different things and involve different services. You can always recommend your buyer to get in touch with a content editor who specializes in historical fiction, yes, but work on your order. There's no need to cancel.
  15. And we all missed you, Alpha! Happy to see you back. 😊
  16. Don’t ever do this. This can lead to a warning or a suspension. It counts as spam. And as a buyer, it annoys me so much when I get messages like this. I will contact you if I need you. The only time I want you contacting me when we don’t have an order going is if I explicitly tell you to (for example, if you’re going to be on vacation and I ask you to please tell me when you’re back.) And not only that. Besides getting a warning or even banned, it will also be useless! Only messages from users who have never messaged you before count towards the Response Rate stats.
  17. I'm jealous. Mine is only 62%, but at least all of them are 5* reviews. 😂 Same here. I never ask my buyers to leave reviews, whether public or private.
  18. Why are you copying and posting what I wrote? 🤨
  19. Oh well, it's Fiverr. 🤷‍♀️ You'll get used to it. 😂 And you're most welcome! 🙂
  20. Stop moaning... If you earned $46, as you say, then you got more than you should've been given. 80% of $57 is $45.6 ($40 for the order + $5.6 for the tip).
  21. @charlsmcfarlane, as long as you send the download link attached to the order (could be a .txt file) and don't share personal information, it's fine.
