  1. On mine, they do. Although in a slightly different position than @silver_seo gets. 11712×872 314 KB
  2. You’re most welcome, @songbirdcottage Yes, it will prevent it. You just need to set the amount of extra words, and it’s pricing, in such a way that it discourages buyers from ordering the package with the shortest delivery time for a determined word count, and attract them to the ones that are closer to their needed amount of words. Of course, there will always be a buyer who will still purchase the shortest delivery-time package not minding having to pay plenty more, but those kind of buyers are the least. You should also state, big and clear, to please contact you for a custom quote when the content is above a certain amount of words.
  3. It hasn’t been fixed, and I’m afraid it will continue to be as it is. Being so, you need to protect yourself. Buyers aren’t forced to contact you before ordering. Quite the contrary. Fiverr is set so buyers can order directly from you whenever they like.
  4. Hi @songbirdcottage, Yes, there is and the limit is set to 20x. The buyer will be given the option to choose the amount of multiples during the purchase of your service. If you were going to use it, I would advise to set a low word count and a delivery time which you would feel comfortable working with in case someone ordered the max. gig multiple. For instance, if you set the word count to 500 per gig, the max gig multiple will be 10.000 words. How long will it take you to work on that amount of words, and deliver the order, if someone purchased it? (Always add 1 extra day, just in case). That’s how you’ll set the delivery time. The only way to turn it off is by adding the word-count option (“Add Extra Services”) to all your packages. Gig multiples will only be disabled by setting the word-count option in each package. There’s no other way. If you decided to walk this path, you could either set a higher price for X amount of extra words, or offer less amount of extra words for the same price shown in the package. Any of these should be done in each package. As @vickiespencer, I also charge more on my basic package and less on the other ones. But I only do it with the extra words - not by pricing them higher, but by offering a lower amount of extra words for a set price of $5. Hope this helps you! 🙂
  5. I am sooooooooooooo happy for you, Vibronx!!! :hugs: A very well deserved promotion! 😊
  6. Waking up to a rush-delivery order placed right after you logged off, only to see it’s due in 12 hours… My coffee, my coffee! I need my coffee!!!
  7. When a seller offers unlimited revisions and swears the 70th revision demanded by the buyer will be the last.
  8. When Fiverr bugs you displaying the infamouse “The user account you are looking for is no longer available.” banner after refreshing the page, and you didn’t stop to think you could still see your dashboard.
  9. Ok. Then, if the order didn’t start, you can’t say there were only 4 hours left for you to deliver. Where did you get that from? The order is still in the awaiting requirement status. There are 2 possible ways for you to solve this: Message your buyer reminding her to attach the file(s) to the order for you to start working. In your message you can add that, as long as she doesn’t attach her files, the countdown won’t start and, hence, the order. If you still get no response from your buyer, wait for more than 7 days, counted since the date the order was placed, and then contact CS politely asking them to please cancel the order, without affecting your stats, as the buyer never submitted the requirements.
  10. So, despite requirements being mandatory, the order got started. Am I understanding correctly? If so, then it means your buyer must have attached at least 1 file.
  11. Hi @cagdasyoldas, may I suggest you to set requirements mandatory to prevent the clock from starting. This will save you a lot of trouble in the future. To do so, you just need to edit the requirements of your Gig(s), ticking where it says “Answer is mandatory”.
  12. @cyrusdeg, this is the thread I think @lenasemenkova was referring to. Please take a look at it, but especially this comment given by @mjensen415.
  13. Jane, until you set the word count, you will keep struggling with this issue.
  14. Yes, we need it, but Fiverr doesn’t listen. So there’s not much we can do…
  15. Yeah, I’m super happy too! After all the CS horror stories here and on blog posts, I thought this was going to go horribly wrong, but they did an amazing job. Wait, just to confirm… You have gig packages set up, and they can still select gig multiples? I’ve always had a wonderful experience with CS. They have never let me down and have always been super kind and quick! 🙂 Nope. Just as Miiila, and because you haven’t added the word count option (“Add Extra Services”) to your the packages, you still get the Gig multiple after selecting any of them. Only setting the word count option will disable Gig multiples. I selected your basic package to show you that it still shows up when buying. p41367×645 68.1 KBTake a look to my proofreading packages (I haven’t modified them yet, but as soon as Fiverr clears the bug that’s currently affecting the site, I will.). For the example below, I chose a word count of 6500 words, and after selecting the package to buy, Gig multiple doesn’t appear as an option for the buyer. Yes, I would have to work all day proofreading 6500 words if anyone decides to order the basic package for that amount of words, but the buyer would have to pay 8 times more and not 5 (4 times doesn’t reach the word count: 1500 x 4 = 6000). While with the premium package, the buyer would only be paying 5 times, just needing to wait another day (2-day delivery time). Packages: p11023×763 87.4 KBBuyer selecting 6500 words: p21017×771 86.7 KBGig multiple is disabled if the word count option is set up on each package: p31879×745 100 KB
  16. That’s really great news, Jane!!! 😃 And I’m super glad for you!!! :hugs: Nice! It will keep most of the “smart” buyers away. 😉
  17. I did use to have the 3-package set-up, but that basically came down to the exact same rate per word, just a bigger word count. Another regular user on the forums told me to abolish that, so hearing this is a bit confusing. Should I go back to the same tactic? I ended up messaging the guy twice, opening a dispute, and sending a message to CS. 24 hours ago, he accepted the dispute to give me more time, but he still hasn’t said a single word to me or delivered the needed files. CS hasn’t responded yet either, buy I hope they will sometime in the next 23 hours. If only we could turn off gig multiples, or turn off the ability to attach files… I have now added an extra Gig requirement asking if people have put the GDoc link in instead of another file, just to drive the point home in case they didn’t read the gig description, FAQ, or first requirement. Yes, Jane. You should go back to offering packages unless you want to see yourself again in such a mess. You can play with maximum word count, price, delivery time, and whatever other options Fiverr allows you, for each package. No three packages must be the same if you don’t want. Also, on the edit mode, under “Pricing” and just below the packages, there’s an extra words option for each package (“Add Extra Services”). Set it in such a way that it will always be cheaper to choose the following package. This won’t happen anytime soon, I’m afraid. 😔 This is not something easy to solve. The problem here is that seldom buyers work with GDocs, so you will have to change the wording and really, really make it super clear that you don’t work with any other type of files. For those who do work with GDocs, guide them into reading your FAQ where they will find the methodology, including the need of attaching the GDoc link. This, since most buyers don’t even bother to read all the gig description, including FAQ.
  18. Hi Jane! I’m sorry to know you’re going through this. 😔 Sadly, you will find people blithely telling you to set Gig multiples instead of packages, but the truth is that this is the worst option for a large number of categories or sellers - especially for writers, translators and proofreaders. For sellers like us who belong to the writing category, and corresponding subcategories, choosing to offer Gig multiples is asking for trouble, since our work time – and, hence, the delivery time - strictly depends on the amount of words we’re working with. So, unless you offer a very low word count (and I mean a really low word count), setting Gig multiples is never a good idea. If my advice could be of any help, I would suggest you to consider offering packages. Try to set them in such a way that buyers will be discouraged to order your 1-day delivery package for files with a high word count.
  19. Hi @blasterdark, To be honest, there’s no real effective way to achieve it. Sorry for being so straightforward. Fiverr is set so that anyone can place an order without previously contacting the seller. Yes, some buyers will be kind enough to contact you before ordering, but many others won’t.
  20. For this you can probably blame the thousands of sellers who create ticket after ticket asking for help, orders, money, and various other things which are nothing to do with support along with others who make tickets for things they could google/find in the seller info area/forum. That’s why the template answers came into being some time back. Before that it was always a personalized answer but the sheer volume of new sellers on Fiverr (many of which will never sell anything) in the past couple of years, it takes a different system to deal with them now. My own experience has generally been positive though. Occasionally an irrelevant template answer but then the second message would usually be personalized. I find brevity, clarity and screenshots where required tend to give a much better response by the way. I don’t know if CS gets those type of questions, but what I do know is that there are a lot of very impolite, unkind and aggressive users who see themselves as if they were the center of the universe. Also, there are those who don’t know how to put their thoughts in black on white, expecting people to decipher whatever they wrote, and there even others who are just unable to explain in a concise, clear way, demanding from CS to waste their time reading their endless speeches. Last but not least, there are those who simply don’t know basic English, and that’s where the cat jumps into the sink… Mind reading should be a mandatory skill required to all CS agents…
  21. That’s not my experience at all - quite the opposite!!! CS has always been very helpful, professional and super kind with me! Always!
  22. Hi Rumana, Do you have your username written on the image?
  23. How can anyone forget its own phone number? Anyway, please contact CS. Here’s the link https://fiverr.com/support_tickets/new?source=help_center
