  1. I have been on Fiverr for some time now and I just got my 2nd 4-star review. I know that it is not realistic to think I would get 5 stars forever, after all, you can’t please everyone, but I am still sad about it. Still, 2 4 starts between 189 5 star reviews is not that bad…
  2. Today when I was in buyer mode I got a bule notification at the top of the screen saying “this user account is no longer available” I refreshed it and it was gone. My account still works as normal. For how long have you been experiencing this? Is your account OK?
  3. A lot of people are experiencing a slow down in views and clicks for the last few weeks. Partly due to the huge influx of new sellers caused by COVID. It may also just be a slow month, last year I had only 4 jobs in May and made only $20, but things picked up after that. For me, this drought period it started in the first days of August after I delivered my last order, I had a dry period of almost 10 days. When I went to check my gig it was in the 5th row of the first page for relevance using my keywords. It used to be a lot higher, thankfully I am still first or second row for best selling, so I have hopes yet. This week I had a small job for an old-time client, and a small new one (which I am sad to say will probably be marked as complete automatically) so I hope my standings will go up soon with some more jobs done. A lot of people tell me that positions are cyclical, so there is always the possibility of my gigs going back up. I kind of want to edit my gig to see if it recovers a bit, I haven’t done it in over a year after all, but I am scared it may make things even worse. I think I will wait a couple of days, if I go a couple of days in a row without a click and declining views I will edit it a bit, change my descriptions and offer better packages, etc. What do you guys think?

  5. I had a suspiciously and abnormally stable first 7 months. Then, now in august my gigs dropped a few rows on first page for my keywords and now I am working to get new gigs and try to rank back up. I understand these things are cyclical, they roll over every couple months.
  6. I have also noticed a drop of sorts in August. This is the first time this year I went so long without getting any new jobs. My main gig is still first page for my keywords, but now on 5th row instead of 1st or 2nd as it used to be. Still first row for best selling for now, but if the drought carries on who knows… I wonder if I should rework SEO and edit it, maybe even changing the category, but I fear it may make things worse. For now I am waiting for one of my repeat customers to come back to get the ball rolling again.
  7. but we also hear that when we get into a slum, reworking the SEO may be a good way to get some more views again.
  8. I am still ranking the first page for my keywords, although in the 5th or 6th rows, 1st row for best sellers. But this week has been slow to me, no new gigs at all. The first time this year this happens actually. I just noticed that there is a new category that fits my gig a lot better, with not that many people in it yet. Should I go ahead and change my category? Would it hurt my placement in the ranking? Maybe it would be better to create a new gig?
  9. I’m feeling the Old Impostor syndrome again -_- I am feeling that old mix of anxiety and Impostor Syndrome again… It’s like when 1 bad thing happens it negates all the good ones. All my happy client’s tat left me positive feedback mean nothing just because of that 1 translation company that didn’t answer me back, I am doing ok at work, and people even said that they will renew my contract, but I can’t help but feel that fear of losing my job… I want to invest more in my freelance career, get a website, social media, etc. But I can’t because I am too busy, and because I can’t do that I feel anxious, fearful, of not getting more jobs, even though the problem is that I am too busy in the first place… I can conceptualize the situation, I know I can do better, learn new marketable skills, I got here from the worst position after all, but my anxiety just doesn’t leave me in peace… I wish my mind didn’t have to work like this…
  10. I actually have been trusting Grammarly too much recently, I noticed it is letting a couple spelling mistakes slip me by.
  11. I always try to do my best and have a lot of positive reviews but every time a client asks for revisions I can’t help but feel bad… I know that I can’t be perfect every time, no matter how much I try, but my anxiety always hits me like a ton of bricks when things like this happen. P.S: Anyone has any tips on how to avoid/ deal with spelling mistakes? : (
  12. Personally my gigs performances always looked like a roller-coaster, lots of order one week, just 1or 2 on the other, etc. Recently I was getting lots of orders, then I had to deliver a gig late and my views and order fell a lot, now I’m working my way back up again, 1 order at a time.
  13. me too, I heard that some people take 6 months to get that first order, the best is when you get a recurring client.
  14. Thats a great start! It took me over 2 months to get my first order, great job man!
  15. thank you, I guess that’s just part of being a freelancer 🙂
