Following from my last message about communications. Received a somewhat non-specific response from my SM. If an order autocompletes, it may impact the score as it shows the buyer is disengaged and this apparently is my fault as I did not send another follow  up message between when the order was placed (when I do follow up with a Thank You and a questionnaire) and the few days to the delivery. If this happens and then the order autocompletes - bang. Buyer Satisfaction score takes a hit.

Well, that might explain things for me. I've had a ton of autocompletes. No malicious buyer intent; they just recieved their delivery, and moved on to other business needs. Not my fault, and not worthy of a 4 seller success score, due to the enigmatic "buyer satisfaction". As Fiverr themselves have stated over the years, "buyers are not required to leave a review".

So, NOW we ARE penalized if an order autocompletes, and no reviews are left?

    I feel a bit like Fiverr's yo-yo.

    So who’s ready for tomorrow?!

Can’t WAIT to become so much more trustworthy with my brand new 4.9 stars! 🤩

I, one of Fiverr's most profitable, long term sellers, am currently sitting at an overall success score of 4. I have no idea how to get out of, or overcome this, so, I, personally, am dreading tomorrow..... but that's just me. I was doing wonderfully until this new system went into place. I can't say that I like it.

Let's turn the tables a bit. Anyone wanna help me -- a Fiverr veteran seller (6 digit sales) -- figure out how to get the Fiverr visibility and orders rolling again? Or, am I doomed, now, to reside in "low performance" territory, and not be seen in the marketplace, all because of things that I cannot control? Private reviews for example.

This new seller level system is absolutely killing the profitability of some great Fiverr sellers.

Or, just employees who have never actually worked as freelancers within these systems. Managing something, and being subject to the workings of that something, are two very different things.

the customer came back to me with a weird question and instead of asking, he posted it as a revision. I needed more info to answer the question and they took a week to respond, during which time the revision sat there in red ticking away.

This happens to me a lot as well. 😕

Well, I'm also facing the same issues, and here is what I have observed so far.

1- The new system is taking data from the last 2 years. It's not good for old sellers since Fiver has a lot of data from our gigs. But most new sellers have a better seller score. In my point of view, the time period should be a maximum of 6 months because how can we fix the issues caused in the last two years within a month? Also don't know if Fiver is trying to encourage new sellers since old sellers are already generating good sales.

    This. Totally this.

Why would fiverr show you who has given you a low rating privately ? You know what private feedback Means, right ?

That's the crux of our complaints. The private reviews are breaking the new system -- for us, the sellers, anyway,

And, FYI, I was quoting a legal phrase when I stated, "Show me my accusers".

  7. How do I have such a low seller Success Score? I am among the best-selling sellers on this site, with thousands of buyers (in 94+ countries), mathematically great reviews, more all-time revenue than most sellers, and otherwise fantastic metrics.... except -- for unclear reasons -- a low success score. I have dealt with some terrible buyers (most that were incapable of being satistifed -- the kind of buyer we all try to avoid), as we all have, yet, despite being a successful seller -- for a decade on this site (since 2014) -- my newly-imposed low success score means that I -- as it stands right now -- may no longer be able to sell my popular service(s) here. I don't see how I can "improve" from this low success score, and big-gig-weighted "strong negative impact" seller satisfaction metric (and certainly not in one month!). Out of all of my many completed gig sales, within the past two years alone, I have only had three 1-2 star reviews. That's well above average for my gig category(s), and easily outweighed by my many other great reviews.

I work hard to please my clients. I always have. That's part of my branded reputation. That's why my clients hire me.

So, who the heck has secretly reviewed me so low as to put me into "strong negative impact", low seller Success Score territory? "Show me my accusers".

Why am I being penalized for metrics that I cannot/could not control? The new system sees only numbers and metrics, without taking into consideration the true reasons for those metrics. I am not a bad seller. In fact, I am well-respected on the site, as well as here on the forums. People know me. Forum users know me (all too well, in fact). I've influenced hundreds of big business brands.... I've created artwork, logos, and other business elements for celebrities, notable hotel chains, government officials (some running for election at the time), entertainers, a notable Country Music singer, new inventions (some that are already on the market), even an astronaut! Heck, I was even so trusted by Fiverr as to serve as a forum moderator for a while (years ago)!

I've worked hard, over the years, to EARN my strong, positive reputation. So why are blanket uncontrollable metrics waiting to kill me, as a seller, here on Fiverr?

Surely this new Fiverr system can do a better job of quantifying the value of its greatest assets -- proven, successful, respected sellers like myself (and others).

I don't want to stop being a great seller, here, on Fiverr, yet, for some reason, this new system thinks that I should.

Where's the fairness, or respect, in that?

    ----------------------------------------------------------

(NOTE: I am not trying to start arguments, just expressing my valuable thoughts and concerns)

otherwise there is no transparency to see how am i performing now or even in last month or two.

    Exactly.

The success score should start at the same point for everyone -- under the new system -- and give sellers, like you (and others) a chance to ease into the new score. Old data can be added in slowly, to bring seller histories into focus. It is unwise to dump everyone into the mix based entirely upon old data (especially when some great sellers worked hard to overcome past challenges that, now, once again, penalize them severely under the new rules). This disqualifies some great hard-working sellers right off the bat, with little to no chance to operate (or sell) under the new requirements.

Is anyone else super concerned about the new seller levels and metrics? I just looked at my info, and even my gigs with a lot of traffic and high ratings are being evaluated as doing very poorly. The tips given to improve are vague and impersonal, so I'm left feeling reprimanded for my thriving business, and I'm not being given actionable tools to improve. Also, I'm going to be demoted from level 2 to level 1. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, many, many sellers are currently experiencing this. You are not alone.

    This is crazy....

I have been a level two seller and have made over $200,000 on fiverr and today I got the update that said I am now level 0 and that ALL of my orders have room for improvement and I am now a level 0 with a metric of 4.

Are you kidding me? I have a house that I pay a mortgage for as the sole provider for me and my family. I pay the $20 a month for the fiverr plus or whatever it's called and now I can no longer access my funds within 7 days? I can no longer promote my gigs? You guys stripped away every feature I had as a level two seller and then held "private reviews" against me as I grew as an artist.

10% of my lifetime orders were cancelations and now those will all count against me even harder? I've climbed tooth and nail to get to level two and maintain it over the years  and now I have to worry about how I'm going to make a paycheck all over again.

This isn't like the dev team just decided to try a new function that was harmless. You've quite literally turned the entire seller platform upside down and hindered/damaged the ability for millions of workers to get money.

How do you guys sleep at night? That's just crazy to me.

This explains why I haven't been getting orders regularly for the past 40 days. I was talking to my partner and was telling her how weird it was that I wasn't getting orders as regularly and may have to get a second job.

    Now it all makes sense.

Again, ditto, for me as well. This does not feel fair to long-time profitable sellers who have more data to consider within the new system. I see this very thing happening to many established profitable sellers.

Hi @simplyjam! The good news is the new levels are not yet live to buyers on the marketplace. Please take this time to explore the new system and work on your metrics. The new system and levels will go live on the marketplace on March 14.

How does a seller improve a newly-imposed low success score in 30 days, when the score considers data from the last two years? This massively penalizes sellers with hundreds/thousands of sales during those years.

I have a freaking level 0. What in the heck is going on here. I have 1100+ 5 star reviews. I qualify for top seller,  yet I just went from a level 2 to a level 0. Gigs that are my top performing gigs have a 4 success rate. My reviews on my profile are unbelievable, my clients absolutely adore me, I couldn't provide more perfect of service. I feel like I have exhausted all options at this point, the last 2 months on this platform have been a joke with all these changes. I pray this is a bug and the success rate is not accurate.

Things like this make for a horrible situation, and make the hard work of many great sellers, as they work to improve over the years, feel completely unimportant and irrelevant. What was wrong with the 60-day "you can recover and improve" format? That was balanced and fair to every seller, new and old. Bad things happen. That let sellers learn and improve. The new system penalizes sellers for mistakes, bad reviews, and things they cannot control for two years! 😲

Waiting for this latest nightmare update to come.

    So apparently I'm 8/10 and a glaring

    image.png.897e460fac3d811e1c000b7db448d33a.png

Yet I maintain and have always maintained a 5 star average with glowing reviews all over the place.

Guessing this is the wildly unfairly and deeply insidious private reviews thing and some disgruntled client has attacked me privately?  I've had a couple cancellations made by support for problematic customers.

They don't tell me what it is and the way to improve it is some canned generic non-sense about being a "better seller", enough to drive someone crazy honestly.

I've been a TRS since 2015 and always maintained an a top level of service, I get rewarded for that by them threatening to demote me.  Wonderful.

Amen to that. I am in a similar situation as you are.... not TRS (I've been a relatively consistent level 2), but the rest is similar. Client Satisfaction needs a better calculation, and not dependant upon private reviews.

    Lifetime.

I have one gig that doesn't get a lot of action. It has the lowest score and 'Strong Negative Impact' for cancelled orders. That gig had one cancelled order over two years ago and the rest completed successfully. So, that one cancellation (which is a higher percentage than it would be in more popular gigs) affected my Gig Score.

I'm completely mystified by a "Strong Negative Impact" on one of my gigs for Client Satisfaction that has ONLY received 5 stars and one 4.5 star way back in 2019. What is the problem?

This certainly isn't any more transparent than it used to be.

I agree. I have a top gig, that now has a low success score, as a result of reviews from years ago. I've worked hard to improve upon those early years on Fiverr, and now, all my recent positive work is penalized for things from back then. That is hardly fair for a strong, successful 10-year Fiverr seller with good work on this platform, and a top-selling gig.

Should I consider marketing my gig,

what are the most effective marketing strategies for selling transcription services on Fiverr?

Figure out where your transcription clients can be found, go to those places, and make yourself known. Interact with those potential clients. Be helpful.

Specific strategies are different for each seller.
