  1. Yes, that seller had 15 orders and a shorter delivery time. I just checked on that seller. The seller is now are on page 8, but has 8 orders. I was just thinking that having a lot of orders is good, but if you have to pay Fiverr a higher % for every order they place later on, then maybe I do not like that. I also looked at the recent reviews of the seller. They mention the order being a bit late… I guess it depends on the profit you make overall through the promotion that you wouldn’t make without it. Then again, this isn’t supposed to happen at all, you’re not supposed to be charged for every order, especially not more than once on each client. Yeah I initially thought the promotion was a good idea but then I realized that I still have 3 books to work on this week and don’t even really have time for additional orders. 😃 To me personally, the promotion feature is a two-edged sword, either it could potentially help you over slump periods or it can mess with you if you bite off more than you can chew and then you might get negative reviews because you can’t keep up.
  2. That is what puzzled me too! I had completed 2 gigs before for this buyer. Plus, with everyone who pays for clicks being moved to the front of the search pages, I would think the others of us who do not are pushed back. I have noticed several buyers in my niche be in the first position or at least the first line for many days with many orders. Then one of them went OOO. (I suppose by clicking their gig to check out how many orders they have I am getting them charged for a click. :woman_facepalming:) Hmm, could imply that they got too many orders to work off? I’m not sure. I hardly get anything from promoting my gig for some reason. Since yesterday it got 36 impressions, no clicks. Why does it work so well in some categories and for others it doesn’t? Don’t even get me started on the most saturated categories only paying a fraction of what I have to pay. Maybe this category is bound to earn Fiverr less so they make up for it by charging the seller more. Which is kinda ridiculous.
  3. I will. Here is the note I sent to CS. The buyer ordered from me two times through my inbox and I made him custom offers on a gig I had not promoted. The third time he also came to me through my inbox and made a request for a gig I was promoting. When I made him an offer on that gig and he accepted it. Then when I went the dashboard, I noticed his order had a “promoted” sign on it. Screen Shot 2020-09-08 at 7.50.02 AM1381×533 110 KBOh I see. I’m worried this is going to turn into a big mess once the feature is out for all eligible sellers. Edit: The issue, however, is that if a returning buyer clicks on your ad, you also get charged for it. If I clicked on your ad without any intention to actually order your gig, you’d get charged for that as well. But I really don’t understand why you’d have to be charged for an order from your returning buyer unless they got to your gig by clicking on the ad and then sent a request.
  4. The buyer returned 2 times after the initial gig. I doubt that was a" click on the ad the moment your returning buyer made a request." At any rate I have written to CS about it and I will find out if it is true that we are charged for each order after the first one. Please let us know if you received a response, I’m curious to hear what they’ll say! 🙂
  5. Please read, it’s been mentioned several times in this thread now.
  6. The bidding fee should only apply on clicks though which don’t necessarily all convert into orders. They shouldn’t apply to orders at all. Are you sure you didn’t have someone click on the ad the moment your returning buyer made a request? I know that’s difficult to say but I don’t think it’s how it’s supposed to work.
  7. There you go. The $10 will most likely be available next month when they deduct the costs from your balance. There you go. The $10 will most likely be available next month when they deduct the costs from your balance. It’s retroactive. I don’t know where to find the ads either but if you don’t get any impressions, you need to increase the amount you bid, because someone is bidding more than you so they are getting the ad spot.
  8. Weirdly enough, on the first page of my category, there’s everything from no level to TRS but mostly Level 1 and 2.
  9. There you go. The $10 will most likely be available next month when they deduct the costs from your balance.
  10. Logos are my main service and I check them every day. Never in the last 6 month has Logo design section had first three pages filled with TRS. Maybe 5-10 max, but never all over the pages. Today is the first day I am even seeing some of the TRS, they used to be on page 10-20. Hmm in 6 months I suppose it couldn’t be a matter of rotation either, right?
  11. That’s exactly what I was talking about. I don’t think the sponsored gigs will receive an extra spot in the rankings but separetly somewhere. Not sure where but I don’t think they will touch the search results but rather put those gigs somewhere you can see them if you click on the respective category for example. Or on the main page, I don’t know.
  12. Strange, could you maybe show us a screenshot? Mine went through just fine.
  13. Does it actually mess with the ranking? Because as far as I understood these promoted gigs are placed separately in ads. It says somewhere in the seller help center that they “will find a good place for the ad”.
  14. Quick update: Since I wrote this initial thread and turned on the paid promotions, my gig had 17 impressions, 0 clicks so far.
  15. They were mentioned before.
  16. It’s only going to be accessible for Level 2 sellers meeting a couple of requirements.
  17. I’m not sure, I haven’t seen any ads related to the sponsored spots on the platform yet.
  18. Haha yeah maybe it’s for the best they don’t get access to paid promotions 😃
  19. That would be a good idea but I think Fiverr is more aiming to make it a longterm thing, since you only get billed retroactively as well. So It would make sense to use the feature for at least a month and then the month after, it will be deducted from your funds. What I am curious about though, what happens if your account gets banned or you stop working alltogether on fiverr right after using the sponsored ads and being charged for them? Then you would have a minus on your balance. I think that might be one of the reasons why new sellers aren’t able to use the feature because Level 2 and up are less likely to stop or get banned.
  20. It was a joke 😃 I only read the main page of this article: https://sellers.fiverr.com/en/article/promoted-gigs and didn’t even notice the other related content on the side.
  21. Then I overlooked it. Still, sneaky!
  22. Hey they added that after I looked at that artcle! … I think. Sneaky.
  23. Oh interesting, where did you find that info?
  24. That’s right. Because it mostly needs new sellers. I don’t know how likely it is that new sellers will get this feature.
  25. Will this option be available only to upper level sellers? It didn’t give for our newcomers. So I don’t need to know about it. I think for the testing phase it’s given to the best performing sellers in each category? I’m not quite sure though. Later on when it’s fully implemented it might be available to everyone or it might be bound to level requirements. I couldn’t find any info on that yet.
