  1. … and also the most competitive category. Better to look for a) something you’re good at with b) far less competition …
  2. My world domination is kinda pathetic compared to everyone else’s - 6%. Qatar is the most unusual … most of mine are US and UK …
  3. … I also like recipe books - particularly the ones with little stories attached about how the recipe came about. And nice pictures. Basically, I like food p0rn …
  4. I like SciFi and fantasy. Currently reading Anthony Ryan’s The Draconis Memoria trilogy. Not sure I like that the dragons are the bad guys … CJ Cherryh is always reliable … Also like murder mysteries …
  5. Yup, you’re right. I just had one cancelled by CS and the money returned to the buyer. However, when they cancel, rather than you, it doesn’t affect your stats. And you can keep an eye out for the buyer using whatever your project was on their website. If they use it, report it to CS and they’ll try and do something about it.
  6. Nope. It’s unpleasant people trying to take advantage of you because you’re new. You’ll get a real order if you keep at it.
  7. Hi - welcome to the forum. This is a frequent scam to try and get work out of you for free. They see you’re a new seller and think they can take advantage of you. My advice is to divert them to your spam folder and report them.
  8. Do not agree to cancel. If the buyer is already using the guest post, then they’re using it and you should be paid for your work. Take a screenshot and hold it for proof of use if there’s an issue with CS later No revisions at all are offered on your gig (that I can see). If it’s possible to make minor adjustments to the article, you might charge the buyer for doing them. If not, well, you’ve done as promised. Some buyers just don’t want to pay, so bear that in mind. Hold your position and refuse to cancel. In future, it might be an idea to get the article approved by the buyer before posting it …
  9. There is racism everywhere, but you might be hard pressed to prove that speicific seller blocked you because of it - they gave no reason, after all. It’s actually quite hard to find stock photos and videos that reflect the diversity of our modern lives … I’m often disappointed by it. It is possible, however. Put it down to experience and move on. Find someone who agrees with your vision for your video - there’re lots of them here.
  10. @catwriter - ah. Didn’t dig that deep. @coolarchitect - if you don’t know what they are, don’t offer them as part of your gig. You’ll only get caught out and possibly a warning. You’re working with a respectable company now. Treat Fiverr and yourself with more respect.
  11. @catwriter - he doesn’t offer them. I checked. He’s just asking.
  12. I think your best bet is to google this. If, having done the research, you can produce a good product, then create a gig. If not, then don’t.
  13. Sometimes people get the - mistaken! - impression that being active here on the forums will help them to get orders. It absolutely doesn’t. It’s mostly sellers here. Some of us are friendly and helpful, some not … and some only sporadically. So. If you are under the impression that being active here is going to get you orders … I’m afraid you’ve been reading the wrong seller tips.
  14. Yes, it’s ok to send traffic from FB ads directly to your gigs … but a waste of money if they’re not properly targeted, which is not so easy to do these days, what with privacy changes and wotnot … Ditto, other social media sites - as long as you’re not just spamming your friends. If you know what you’re doing, go for it. If not, really, just don’t. I note your gigs are mainly graphics based. Unless your social media followers are interested in purchasing your graphics, promoting your Fiverr gigs there is seen as spam. Even if they are interested in purchasing, best practice is to promote one gig no less than five days apart, with other non gig shares in between. Give value, not spam.
  15. Does anyone know if we’re still allowed to do this?
