  1. Last year was slow for me on fiverr. But I have started the year on a good note. Just delivered my first order. Hopeful that this year things will be better than last year. Hopeful that I will get lots of traffic and orders. Amen.
  2. Sometimes you just need to be patient. Also, you can have a look at the best performing gigs in your category to see what they are doing. e.g. a better pic showing the welcome screen to the server? Also, once you make edits, give it some time to see how it performs before you make any other changes. Good luck!
  3. This is an interesting point… I’m lucky, I’ve never had a mean boss, but I totally get how draining it must be to those who do. I remind myself of the freedom I have as a freelancer, in terms of my hours and how I choose to use my time. The idea of being told “you must be at your desk by 9am” seems so alien to me now, I can’t see it as being anything other than silly. My bad days tend to be when I’m beating myself up for not having ‘done’ enough that month (not enough orders, not enough money etc). I find that taking a moment to really appreciate the massive benefit of being a freelancer, in terms of being able to decide how and when I work, really does help. I was up all night yesterday working because I want to free up some time early next week. I love the flexibility of freelancing. I can plan my hours as I please.
  4. As a freelancer, I often have bad days. Whenever that happens, I remind myself that at least I don’t have to deal with a mean supervisor. And then I watch Big Bang Theory. That always lifts my spirits. How about you? What’s your coping strategy?
  5. This is bad advice for new seller. For New Seller…, GIG impressions is important to know whether or not their gigs is optimal. GIG impressions --> Show how many times your gigs show up at potensial buyer browser, If your gigs impressions low…, then you should change your tag, or do more promotions. If your gigs impressions high…, but not getting click…, then it means your gigs thumbnail is not attractive. You should change and build your gigs thumbnail again. Thanks for helping me argue my point. And speaking as a buyer, it’s more than just the thumbnail. When buying, I look at everything - photos, description, packages, FAQ and sometimes I shoot a quick message to chat with the seller before buying.

What use is getting traffic without any sales? I just bought two orders from two new sellers. Found one of them on page 7. On one of them, I ordered in less than a minute of landing on their gig. Because they convinced me to. So yes, as a new seller, the best advice you can get is to focus more on converting the traffic you get as opposed to only getting lots of traffic.
  7. You can’t. You didn’t understand what I said
  8. I stopped worrying about the impressions the day I realized my best performing gig (in sales) wasn’t necessarily the one with the highest number of impressions. You should focus more on converting the little traffic you get and keep building on that.
  9. If you have never ordered a service on Fiverr, then you probably don’t know that Fiverr sends a survey to your buyers after the project is marked as complete. One more reason to always give your sellers the best experience.
