Sounds interesting, but currently and over the next few months, I'm weathering the storm of having to move, including not just apartment hunting (soo difficult to find something affordable these days, and a felt 99% of all offers are exactly in the one and only neighborhood you do not want to move to...) but selling furniture and stuff on eBay (eBay buyers can be every bit as bad as some here, veritable end game bosses, and the spammers and other time-wasters, incredible!... 😅), so I'd actually not mind more free time, but, of course :), when you could need fewer orders, more come in... 🙃

Hope it will be fun and effective for y'all, though! In case I'll eventually emerge after the move, and won't be living under a bridge without WiFi, and the storm's still blowing, I'll check in to see what you're up to.

Mine look as usual. I vaguely remember one or two incidents where we all had different usernames when logging into ... forum, or main site, too? I forgot. Make sure to check if it says "pedro_e" or something instead of "frank_d" there 😉

Probably not, but would be interesting to know how that can happen, though. Someone tried logging into your account through a browser set to Spanish language? The AI had a Tequila too much last night? The AI having noticed that many leads with browsers set to Spanish are viewing your Gigs but don't buy, so it wants to motivate you to learn Spanish now? 🤔 Probably just a short circuit that will go away if someone from support bangs a hammer on your account or sprays a little WD-40 on it, aka "I refreshed your account". 😄

This forum IS hard to navigate, there's just... so much of it. Great tech for sure, but probably oversized for many people's forum needs. What I really like - that you can have a profile picture that's different from your main one. The old forum was definitely easier and faster to.... master.

Experiment with the different views to find the one you like most.

My tip: After clicking "Forum", scroll down to the very bottom, click "Forum List View". Then, on the right side, you can tick "Casual Conversations", "Ranting Pot", and whatever may sound promising to you, and will only see posts in those categories (I sometimes have to re-click, but usually, my choices last for a while):

Over time, I found that my best bet is to just rely on looking at my notification list where I only see stuff from people I follow (but too much of that, too, due to not enough fine-tuning options), and then click on what looks somewhat interesting, and I only sometimes "browse". 

You can also choose to get a "digest" to your mail, by the way, daily or weekly, which might be useful, and could be a different way to navigate/use the forum.

Thanks for asking, yes, on the other hand, what does really matter. But rest assured, that little voice in my head keeps asking the same, and tonight, watching Alice in Borderland, again, had won out, so that will be at least seven more evenings spent on more enjoyable entertainment, just saw this, when I wanted to turn my phone off, and couldn't resist this notification. Yes. Decision-paralysis, which also can, and often naturally does, result in procrastination, is certainly a thing for many people. In some areas, applied minimalism helps a lot; in others, not so much. 

But, Frank, just give each thing a number, and roll the dice, we want to read, the order is secondary. 😉

"surcharge for identifying/avoiding repeated words" Yes, some people rethink their approach if you tell them it's actually more work than just translating everything, and that they also might not always do themselves a favour by "cutting out" "repeated content"; context is a thing.

Yep, if you're going to charge per page, make darn well sure to define the font and font size... And you better prepare for some people trying to save pennies by eliminating formatting fancies like line breaks or paragraphs, such a pleasure to work on walls of text 😶

Pages doesn't work for me, I have to charge per word. Charging per hour is an exception only, for very specific cases, and for Fiverr, I find it especially and generally unpracticable. 

But it might work for you. If you see a suggestion you think may be worth trying, you could give it a few tries, and see how it goes, compared to your standard method 🙂 

Just keep in mind that people who are only used to "standard in the industry", or even live in an ivory tower, may have zero experience with Fiverr. Not that their suggestions are bad, or you can't use them here, or adapt them to fit here, but the environment and the way Fiverr is set up and all that, is a factor you need to take into account. 😄

Sometimes, I explain in depth what should be obvious to any thinking person, sometimes I just say the same thing Eoin wrote above.

What boggles my mind as well is when people kind of do what Eoin wrote but for elements of several Amazon listings in one file, with a random number of bullet points, or sometimes also titles, meaning they'll re-use a few for several listings, while each listing has a few unique bullet points. But expect them to be SEOed with *all* their search terms. How are you supposed to do proper SEO, and keep it at least below the hard byte limit if already not according to the Style Guide recommendations, if you don't even know which titles and bullet points will end up together in one listing...? Just to save some change, which is a business expense and deductible anyway.

I have mixed feelings about the follow function📡. I do find it very useful, especially with this forum and its enormous amount of white noise, and since I do follow some people myself, found it unfair to turn it off for my profile  but a while ago I saw that someone who had made it plenty clear they don't like me, had followed me. Not sure what to make of that. Yes, let's say we must be incredibly interesting, that's a good thing, isn't it.

Ah, interesting. Although the circumstances are different in a few ways. Years ago, I wanted to sell on Etsy, or actually its German counterpart, which got taken over by Etsy, but the packaging material bureaucracy put me to flight. I like to buy on Etsy, though, when I can. I've had two awful experiences over the past year, but there are many real gems, like here 🙂

Ferrets? Oh, you mean like that little green creature with the pointy ears? I want some of those too! I don't personally know anyone who has ferrets, but I've watched a few YT videos, they seem like fun. 

Germany, to stick to the animal theme, is going to the dogs, I tell you, I recently passed a € Shop, and all the price signs outside said €1.10. Incredible. It should be verboten to call your shop € Shop and then sell things that cost not exactly a €. Thinking about organizing a group action lawsuit to force them to change their business signs to "1,10-Euro-Shop". (Also, notice the ".", where a "," should be, and the missing "-" in "Euro-Shop"? To the dogs, I told you!) Just imagine going to Fiverr and having to pay more than a fiver!!1! 😉 

I hope that your wall here doesn't get too many visitors who'd need a row of 😉 faces behind every sentence.
