  1. Agree, the rating system should be overly transparent, simple and easy to understand. I got a stellar written review, with a very good tip.... with a 4/5 rating and I can all but guarantee that person didn't know what they were doing.
  2. I've thought about this so much over the last 10 days. The score system we basically have, is 4 thumbs down and 1 thumbs up. There is absolutely no other way to look at it. The only scores that should make you lose anything are very poor and poor. Average would elicit no change and very good and exceptional all make you go up. They could replace the whole system with a simple thumbs up and thumbs down and it would make more sense and be more fair then what they have now.
  3. Over the last 10 days, since the 14th, I completed something like 23.... 5 star orders, and two 4.7 star orders because even with high praise and tips, the value apparently just wasn't there. Nobody can operate successfully under these standards, nobody knows where they stand day to day. We follow the rules set out by Fiverr and we lose score. I really.... really hate to say it, but I feel like ordering that resume gig last week was the absolute right thing to do for myself, and it sucks cause I love this site :(
  4. Yeah, it's really the worst feeling to work so hard over the last two weeks and be rewarded with the exact opposite outcome Fiverr said would happen. I mean I get it if they are working on the back end, but be transparent about it, or turn off the leveling system until they figure out what they want to do.
  5. Yep, all my gigs that were 8s dropped to 7s, now I'm 7 out of 10. How are we supposed to improve if we don't even know where we stand..... Specially considering Fiverr doesn't even know where we stand at this point. I've exclusively delivered 5 stars outside of two that were 4.7 because even with a tip, my "value" wasn't there.
  6. It's been a very rough week, and it shouldn't have been. The worst part about it is it's all manufactured stress that doesn't need to be here.
  7. Has anyone on here successfully brought their score up by deleting gigs?
  8. None of the "sellers" who steal work and lie about their abilities are on here complaining about anything that I can see, it's just mostly sellers who have been on the site for years and have dedicated vast amounts of their time and energy to build up a client base. I was having one of the best months in years on the site until this update hit, now my messages and orders have fallen off a cliff.
  9. I've been trying to not read the forums, because it's depressing. But you have a really good post. I've also been on the site for more then 10 years, most of those as a top rated seller, focusing mainly on book cover designs for new independent authors, I genuinely just like helping them and being creative. I have thousands of 5 star review, 99.9% of my clients love working with me. I don't know why they are making it so hard to just provide our services to people, why everything has to have this overbearing system upon systems heaped on to us. The level of stress to even operate on this site is more then it would be going into a day job at this point, and it wasn't like this originally, it was an AMAZING place to be. I've figured out so far that the reason I am 8/10 is because of revisions, and those revisions being in red, which a week ago did not count as late and did not count as something that would lower your score for TRS, I was told some time ago by a Success manager that as long as it was delivered on time, the revisions period don't count as late, so I've operated under that assumption. Now it's been retroactively changed and I'm at risk of losing my TRS. Otherwise I'd probably be 10/10. My biggest gripe is I'm a TRS, I've been a TRS under the rules set by Fiverr for more then 8-10 years now. If I've successfully operated under their rules to keep my TRS, that shouldn't change with a new system. I'm 100% fine with new rules going forward I mean ultimately Fiverr is going to do what they do, but allow me to have a chance to operate under this new ruleset before retroactively applying it to the past 2 years of my work and demoting me. I'd like to say also, don't overly stress... my gut feeling is there is a ton of discussions going on about this and I have a feeling everything will shake out. If not then we are all highly talented and motivated creative people, our opportunities are endless.
  10. I think all of these responses and concerns show one thing about the people who freelance here on Fiverr, we care about this site, we care about the future of it, seeing so many people voice their opinions I think should be seen as a positive by Fiverr, you want a caring community who is engaged. I've posted a lot over the last few days but I'm going to just voice what I think is my biggest concern currently is how this has been implemented, and it's one that I've seen repeated here and then I'm going to leave it alone until first week of March in hopes of more insight and changes. We lived under the original standards for years, they were: Inbox response rate Inbox response time Order Response rate Delivered on Time Order Completion Ranking 1-5 The bold options were directly tied to your level, so if you dropped in one of these below 90% or below 4.7 then you would lose your level (at least as a TRS). I maintained these standards set out by Fiverr and retained my TRS during this entire period of time. But now this new system is going back and looking at old data. Data that during the whole period of time my Top Rated Seller status was not in jeopardy. Now with this new system using the same data and new rules, my TRS is in jeopardy. This is the biggest issue. At the very least we should be afforded much more time to bring our number up 1 point, but at this point I don't even know if it's feasible because I probably have 2-3 thousand orders in this time period, so I don't know how this is weighted. I think the better solution would be to move everyone up one point or two and then let the system run as intended. I'm going to just see how things shake out on here, I'm going to do my best and continue to do what I love on here and help authors with their books :)
  11. This 100% true about the ratings. As a TRS or any seller on the platform, only two scores are positive a 4.7 and a 5. So the buyer has 2 options to pick from that are positive and about 10+ options to pick that are all 100% negative. The buyer has zero idea how this effects us as sellers because I have gotten glowing reviews and tips with a score of 4. A score of 4 should be a B, but on here it's the equivalent to a 1 the way it is weighted. The score of 4 shouldn't be negative, the score of 3 should be neutral.... and so on. As of now every score we get below 4.7 is basically a negative score for us sellers.
  12. Anything that is mutually agree upon by the seller and the buyer shouldn't have a negative impact on anyone. I don't understand why it would be any other way, it doesn't make sense to me.
  13. I was thinking the same thing, just clarifying that the questions at the end are a review of my services and not a general Fiverr survey. I would say please go over everything honestly, but do keep that in mind as you fill it out. Idk if that would be against tos or not.
  14. Sigh, yeah I do feel the same. I have to try to be positive about it though and hopefully they will iron out the issues. The biggest problem to me is as a TRS I'm currently at 8/10 and to keep your TRS you need to be at 9/10 so basically you have 1 point of wiggle room and this is based on hidden reviews and metrics that seem very vague. Designing and thriving under this system without just a ton of manufactured stress seems like it is going to be very hard, and we are all freelancers so we live this 24/7, at any given minute of the day, your metrics are counting away.... which ultimately eats at the heart of what freelancing really is at it's core. Try not to get too down man, with everything there is more opportunity, all we can do is just keep moving forward.
  15. Yes I do agree with this, I think it's important for everyone to have a backup plan, these past few days have put this much more into perspective for me. But with new focus creates new opportunities the last time something similar to this happened in my life I found this website Fiverr and it changed it for the better, so I wouldn't get overly down about it. We can only do as much as we can do, we can't really control what corporations are going to do when it comes to their plans other then voice our opinions. My hope is they find a better way of implementing this system, because my guess is knowing what I know about development, this system cost far to much money for them to just abandon, but it 100% needs more time to cook.
