  1. I did finally get a response from customer service and it's as expected, no simple solution. Someone has given me a free smart phone so I've been working at setting it up. I'm just laughing at the "Please take a moment to verify" from Fiverr's message above, since I've been working at this for a week now. But I should be able to make the timeframe to verify my identity in the next day or so.
  2. Update: Finally heard from customer service. They said that verification must be done from a smart phone. If we do not own one, we can borrow a friend's or family member's smart phone, update the phone number on our account and verify that way. We CANNOT use a tablet, computer, or iPad to do it. I did borrow one phone but the verification failed. I think because the phone is six+ years old. So if you borrow a smart phone, borrow a new one. I am still trying to find one to borrow. I was going to buy one, but two of our local cell phone stores shut down in my city, so the search is on to even find an open store!
  3. Still no response from customer service, and the borrowed smart phone did not work.
  4. Update: Still zero response from customer service. Borrowed phone did not work. I'm going to buy a new smart phone this weekend, so let's hope this works! Otherwise, I'll be losing tons of money as Fiverr won't pay me out for my earnings.
  5. I searched through my ID and I think I've found the one with the best pic. So I'm glad people are posting about their difficulties, so now I know to use the one with the best image. And now to solve my second issue... getting a smart phone that I can verify my ID on!
  6. I have sent messages off but with zero response. I guess I'll have to figure this out myself. I do have a friend who is willing to lend me their smart phone.
  7. I have the same issue. I have about 12 days left. I do not have a smart phone so how do I verify? I sent messages off to cusstomer service with zero response. I think I might borrow a friend's smart phone, change my phone number here, and verify that way. I was going stop selling on Fiverr, but I did want to keep my account so I can still buy services. That and I have about $500 to clear over the next several days, and I don't want to lose that!
  8. Yes, I am too! I publish books under my full name, and I ghostwrite books for my clients. Mostly in the zombie genre. I have one client who has sold a few thousand copies of one of my books! Wish I could make that claim under the ones on my own name, but I'll get there!
  9. I just received a message that I must provide ID verification to BUY and SELL on Fiverr. I can understand being a seller, but as a buyer? I'm having issues with providing this verification, and I know others are too. This may be the final daze. (error intentional)
  10. The QR code doesn't work, and they are not sending me a text. Not that I have digital anyway to be able to do that. What a mess. Should have given us more than two weeks! Now I'm going to lose hundreds of dollars!
  11. No, don’t do that. If you have a work address, provide that instead. One of my first orders on Fiverr resulted in my home address being stolen and put on google for a business. It was a few years before I managed to have my address removed from all the sites. So glad an angry customer never showed up at my door.
  12. I had the same happen to me. I got demoted from Level 2 to beginner 0 or whatever it's called. It was re-instated after 3 weeks with zero explanation.
  13. It was three months before I got my first order.
  14. I've had three order cancellations in the past month after completion. No doubt from the same buyer (different user ID), just to get free articles from me. Perhaps one day Fiverr will offer some protection for us. I did inform all three buyers that these articles were going onto my own blog, hence they could not use them in any form without being downgraded by Google SEO if they did. I think I have scared them, as I have not seen my articles posted anywhere online. Let's hope they do not order from me again. (I have blocked their 3 accounts but that doesn't stop them from creating a new one.)
  15. I just had a disputed and cancelled order today even though I followed the brief and the tone of their other articles. I did let them know that it’s now going on my blog site. That’s so they don’t try selling it to their client.
  16. Update: Not only did I get a Level One back, but also my Level Two, so all is back to normal. It happened about the day after my last complaint above, so I guess Fiverr was reading and fixed that glitch.

    Eat Zee Bugs

I'm in Canada and they've been putting cochineal extract in food for decades now. That being said, I am vegetarian and do my best to avoid it. (Yes, I know I may inadvertently be eating bugs in fruit or veggies.)
  18. This is why I only do small orders on this site. Too many scammers out there. I hope you can get this resolved.
  19. Mine. And yes, I ordered the services of a graphic artist to do the cover for me on Fiverr. Anyway, it's quite the accomplishment. I have written a non-fic cat care book too, plus a couple of other silly books. This first one must be the best. I'll keep working on my writing!
  20. Good luck! I just had someone "spam" me too. They didn't want to pay me for short stories, but they "might' pay me $1 if they like it. Um, no!
  21. Update: Last month I got a message saying I qualified for Top Rated Seller. Not 3 days later, they informed me that I had lost a level and was down to 1. I figured it was because I did not respond within 24 hours in a timely manner to two spam messages. Fine, I can get it back up, right? My stats went up a bit. Then today I'm informed that I have lost all my levels. I'm guessing it has nothing to do with response time and that it's because I only got a few orders in the past month. But keep in mind, within these orders were multiples. Can't think of anything else that would make me go down a level when I have been diligently responding to all messages within 6 hours!
  22. Yes, that happened to me too, I got downgraded to Level I from II. The good news is that I think I can get it back up to II in a month or so! How ironic that responding to messages is worth more to Fiverr than all the money they make from us!
  23. I did actually respond within the 24 hours, so don't know why they dinged me either.
