I check out the ones with a 4.5 - 4.9 rating. Then I look up their lower star reviews to see how they responded to the buyer. If they come across as non-caring, unprofessional or angry, they're out.

Exactly.. That's one of the things I do too.. Irrespective of whether a buyer is right or not, it matters how well you handle a feedback or complaint.

Westworld is sort of a mixed bag. I love the first season.

Felt the same.. but loved the way it unfolded initially.. there's another sci-fi that's unlike anything else.. called Raised by Wolves... though I have mixed feelings about this one too, it was still a breath of fresh air... it's opening soundtrack is mind-blowing..

Hwhaaat? Haven't seen X-files? If you like conspiracy theories, aliens, shadow governments and monter of the week stories,  you'll love it. The older seasons are the best, but they are aging for sure... The two new seasons that came out were OK, but I grew up on that stuff since I was six, so I'm partial to the older ones.

👍 just remembered Project Blue Book..

Dang but that "Haven't seen X-Files?" created an optical illusion when I read it the first time 😂

More recommendations.. Ted Lasso.. Wayne, End of the fun**in world.. enjoyed these too..

I'm still really sad about this. I keep wanting to rewatch it, but what's the point without a proper ending? Even if someone did comics or something, I'd be into that.

My favorites are: Strangers Things (if I had to pick one it would be this), Haunting of Hill House (and Bly Manor, too), Bones, Scrubs, X-Files, Drop Dead Diva, Firefly, and Doctor Who. I'm currently reconnecting with my teenage self by unironically rewatching Lois and Clark.

Runner up is Tales From the Loop on Amazon. The show was just okay, but I love Stalenhag's artwork and the TTRPG developed to go with it more than almost any IP out there.

I like a lot of others, but these are ones that I watch over and over while I'm working.

Ya true.. I wish they find a way to bring it back, though it seems too late now..

I liked Haunting Of Hill House, both parts..  looking forward to Midnight Mass haha, it's from the same creator... barring Stranger Things and X-Files haven't seen the rest.. might check them out..

    The Republic of Sarah

Nice.. I may have skipped it because of it's low iMBD rating... but I may have to give it a chance now that you mentioned it.. appreciate the share 🙂

I'm a biiiiit of a "true crime freak" if you will, and my friend recommended that to me. My jaw dropped when I saw Ed Kemper, the actor did a fantastic job.
When I saw a glimpse of that particular guy at that one particular scene, I knew right away it was Wayne Williams...and that kinda scared my friend! 😅

Hahaha.. ya I was surprised at how they managed to get the perfect doppelgangers to play the role of these serial killers... that itself was mindblowing.. for me it was when Ford visited Ed in the hospital, that gave me chills.. dang..

Did that with V, and I'm still pissed off about it. 🤣

I know the feeling.. Happened with The OA.. that was one of my favorites and was supposed to be 5 seasons long till Netflix decided to cancel it just after 2 seasons.. on the other hand, they have no issues with housing Lucifer... I mean Lucifer's nice fun show don't get me wrong but cancelling The OA? 😑 I just didn't understand what happened there as with most of these cancellations..

Now that I think of it.. there's a show called "Taboo" *ing Tom Hardy that I absolutely enjoyed, I would place it at the top of my list really... and Barry *ing Bill Hader.. these were good too..

If you like crime shows but want to take a break from something too serious like Criminal Minds, Death in Paradise is a good choice. 🙂

Sure 👍 Arigato zeus777-san 🙏 if you like serious crime shows do give Mindhunter a watch if you haven't already.. Since it's based on real events, it's ya somewhat unsettling 😨

Oh I didn't know there was a Belgian version! The one I am watching is the English version.
I also enjoy Death in Paradise, so it was nice to see the same actor from Season 1 in a different show 😄

Haha ya the English version is based on the Belgian one with the same name.. Guess the original one is 3 seasons long, am still only done with the first of both the versions.. Loved them both haha.. Haven't watched Death in Paradise yet, might check that one out..

I am really into Korean Dramas and one of my favourites are GOBLIN. Besides, The Queen's Gambit, Stranger Things, and The Crown are my most favourites!

I love K-Dramas, can't stop watching them.. A variant of Goblin is Black (it's fantasy too like Goblin), do check it out if you haven't already.. The rest of the list looks good.. The Queen's Gambit and The Crown are in my watch list, yet to see those..

  10. I beg to differ. Every buyer and seller has the right to express themselves here so long till they are not violating any of the policies. And when this platform's unique selling point itself is to enable people to avail services for as low as $5, in my humble opinion, it's not fair to be too critical of such buyers of low priced gigs. That being said, yes I agree that one has to spend "test money" to unearth hidden gems on this platform owing to low barriers to entry. And I also agree that due diligence is required on part of buyers before they place their orders, guess that's true for everything we buy. Personally, I've found great sellers who offer their services at $5 and do a better job versus the sellers who offer similar services at say $50.. just saying that $5 gig doesn't always mean bad quality service. Also $5 might mean a lot where I am from. So chances are that I might find a top notch seller, selling their services at $5 just because they decided to price their gig low because the low cost of living permits them to. Just my thoughts, but feel free to skip if it looks too lengthy lol

  11. Be thankful you got a Tip.

I think OP is a buyer wanting to leave a tip. 🙂

Prior to fees on buyer, I used to tip smaller amounts of $5 or $10 more often.

Now, most sellers have upped their prices so gratuity isn’t as necessary as before. I tip less often and when I do, it’s a larger amount for several top notch work. Instead of $5 on every order, its like $50 on every 10th order.

I know $2.50 doesn’t seem like a lot, especially in western nations but it adds up quickly. For occasional buyers, not a huge deal, but for small business buyers that’s more money out of our pocket.

    1 tip of $50 = $2.50 (buyer fee)

    10 tips of $5 = $25.00 (buyer fee)

One year, I spent over $100 in fees just GIVING tips. 😲

I feel you, OP. It’s one of my pet peeves.

    Exactly!

Fees don’t make sense really. It’s not like sellers are getting to keep 100% of the gig value. To add to that, fees on tips, to add to that increase in service fees since November 2020. Doesn’t really sound like “Fiverr” anymore. Sevenerr makes sense at this point since I paid $7.25 on a $5 gig the other day.

Back when I first used Fiverr (the days of old UI), I didn’t have to pay more than $5, but then I saw that I was paying $6 for a $5 gig, and now it’s $7.25 for a $5 gig. That’s just unacceptable. It’s not the money itself but rather the principle that matters.
