That was the criteria for becoming a Regular on the last forum. He seems to be telling people to post low-quality content to earn a level that no longer exists. 🤦‍♂️

I am particularly interested in learning how to get to Fiverr Staff level 😄

I guess sadly some get offended easily than others and cannot tell the difference between  badmouthing/bullying and feedback/constructive criticism. 😅

Ya, can't help it.. some probably prefer their feedback in private.. at the same time, there's no mechanism to provide a feedback in private.. and messaging them would be weird 😅

OP shouldn't be offering writing gig due to his lack of English abilities

  5. Fiverr might actually like this idea since they want to make money wherever possible.. so instead of a 100% cancellation, they might actually like the idea of say a 50% cancellation.. but ya... like @theratypist mentioned, the exact portion that has to be refunded would be difficult to sort out.. it'd depend on mutual understanding of both the buyer and the seller.. nonetheless, sounds good to me... I mean if I am a buyer who doesn't have ill will, I might actually want a seller to keep a portion of the gig amount for the time and efforts they put in... so ya.. thumbs up from me..

  6. From Fiverr's point of view, the current tip system is profitable (for both Fiverr and the sellers as it enhances earning opportunities for both the aforementioned parties), hence I doubt if it'd go away any time soon.. but I hear you..

As earlier discussed in the thread, wherein a Fiverr success manager has confirmed that you can just not a specific kind of a review.. similarly Fiverr Customer Support also said that you can "remind" them.

Credits to the OP from this thread for sharing:

Upon delivery I don't state any messages regarding feedback or anything. I feel like they would leave one if they wanted to. But there is enough proof to back up you can sort of say something in the lines of that. It's fair I guess, I mean feedback is helpful. Oh the blurred lines. Haha.  [I still wouldn't do it though but have nothing against those who do]

But is Uros still working with Fiverr after sending that email? That's the more pertinent question right now.. For all we know, it was probably Uros's last day so they decided to have some fun..

Taking care of your voice is probably one of the more important but overlooked parts of being a voice-over actor. Not doing it can lower your stamina, make your days in the booth tiresome, drain you of vocal energy, and impact the quality of your finished deliveries.

The most important lesson I've learned is to listen to my voice. If I'm getting hoarse or weak, I'll try to avoid pushing it too far.

    Booth hangover

What you eat and drink also has an effect. At least for me — coffee before a take = mouth noise and clicks. Water, on the other hand, is something I always keep with me in the booth. Lukewarm is best, in my opinion, with a dash of lemon. Ice cold water will make your vocal cords and muscles tense. I don't drink alcohol anymore, but when I did, I always avoided long recording sessions the day after a party for obvious reasons. Anyone who has stayed for three hours in a vocal booth with a hangover knows why.

Musky booths (even worse with a hangover - haha)

Voice actors use their voice a lot, and maintaining an engaged voice for several hours can be strenuous. So get enough rest. Get a break, and don't talk for a while. If you're working from a booth, fresh air can do wonders, so go outside for a bit! The ventilation systems I've tried aren't quiet enough, so it can get musky in there!

    Don't project so much

Shouting or speaking loudly strains your vocal cords. Be aware of how much you project your voice. For longer takes, I prefer to use cans (that's headphones for anyone not in the industry) because I can turn up the volume, and by doing so, I tend to speak with a lower volume. Your mic is your friend, and it can hear everything, so no need to project like you're doing an opera. The results are better, too, when you're not so pushy.

    Smoking? Really?!

I'm just going to leave it at that.

    Coughing/clearing your voice...

...Can damage your vocal cords. Try a glass of water instead. When you cough, you smash them together. It's like giving your chords a good beating.

And lastly, working from home can be stressful. You have to manage everything yourself, from marketing to delivery, sometimes even production. You're constantly working with deadlines, and it's easy to put projects off because you have a lazy day, leading to even more stress the next day. Managing your time and stress levels is important to have some resemblance to a normal life.

Eating healthy and getting enough exercise is also essential (I need to take my own advice here!).

What're your best tips to take care of the voice? Let us know 😄

Though not professionally, I love to sing.. so I am sure these tips will come in handy.. thank you @smashradio 🙂

It seems SO incredibly, mindblowingly, ridiculously, knock-your-socks-off-simple, yet so many people seem to not get it.
    It's a MAJOR head-scratcher for me.

I'm not trying to sound rude or mean here, when I see certain people here, I want to grab the side of their heads, look into their eyes and ask ARE YOU IN THERE!!??

I love the Matrix. I probably spent more renting the original on DVD than I spent on my brand new kitchen!

I love the philosophical questions – what is real? – the action, the music, the sound effects. I could go on for days.

Now there's a teaser trailer for The Matrix 4 out, and I nearly pooped my pants. Still waiting for the full trailer.

Are we excited? Yes we are. Probably gonna set my availability to out of office for a few days when it comes out this winter, just to make sure I can watch and analyze every frame of the movie.

    Yes, I need help.

Meeee.. On the website, did you notice how the teaser slightly or wholly changes even when you select the same pill for the second time? And the timestamp mentioned in the teaser too is as per the time on your machine.. Totally dope..

  11. Assuming that you are from India, if tax is being deducted out of your earnings, the same should reflect in what's called as "Form 26AS" that can be accessed via the income tax portal. So when you calculate your overall tax liability, it'd be whatever you have to pay minus what's already been taken from your earnings (as reflected in Form 26AS).. At the same time, you might be eligible for a refund (for the amount that was deducted from your earnings) if you don't have any tax liability (as per the slab and rules)..

In any case, it's best to take the help of a professional CA.. they can guide you better..

Ahh here it is. I also don't see the point in having limits to prevent fraud as long as there is a flat 20% taken out, but there might be something I haven't thought of yet.

    Fiverr Help and Education Center:

    How much can I tip?

    • The minimum amount is $5.
    • For orders below $25, the tip can be up to $25.
    • For orders above $25, the tip can be up to 100% of the price of the order.

Note: These limitations are in place to prevent fraud.

They should've instead said "These limitations are in place to prevent fraud. BUT.. we will still take 20% from your tips" 😂
