Did the buyer accept and complete the order? The watermark gets removed only until the order is accepted and completed.

It'd be hilarious if the watermark said "Pay First" instead of "Fiverr" 😅

Polishing and experimenting I go .....

There's one other thing I'd do if I were you, "competition research"... the idea is to replicate what's already working instead of reinventing the wheel so to speak.

So, I'd search for terms related to my gig, and open up 10 (you could go for more, but 10 should be enough) seller profiles on my browser, specifically focusing on those sellers who joined around the same time as I did (exact month and year if possible) and are getting consistent orders (divide the review count by 12 to get orders per month, not an exact estimate since a lot of buyers don't leave reviews but still gives you an idea of how many orders they are getting every month), and then I'd look for the kind of gig titles they are using, the gig description, pricing, reviews, etc to understand what's working for them. Not to copy all that word to word but just to get an idea of why Fiverr gives them preference in search results. Once I have an idea of what kind of gig title, images, description, tags, pricing etc works, I will go ahead and see if my gigs have those factors successful gigs have and make changes accordingly... again, to be clear, I wouldn't copy them but rather try to understand the "skeletal structure" of what works.. once I am done with all my gigs, I'd post the links here on the forum in the "Improve My Gigs" section and request sellers in my niche to critique the gigs to cover anything else I may have missed... It's still a trial and error process though.. but the idea is to help Fiverr's system as much as we can in matching our services to potential buyers.. make it hard for the system to ignore you 😅

  3. Sorry to hear about the situation you are in. After having a look at your profile, I noticed that you have setup only 1 gig, why not utilise all the available slots? Maybe setup additional niche specific gigs? For example something like "I will write articles for your health blog". You know just to split test and maximise options? And help Fiverr's algo help you?

I have all of these turned off. I still get emails about new orders and the to-do style messages, which is what this topic is mostly about. "Don't forget to check the order" etc. I wish I could turn those off, too!

For those, you may have to set conditional rules within your mailbox, i.e. labeling such emails for later review (Gmail) or moving them to separate folders (Outlook).. If you are using Gmail, this link might help:

  5. Late to the party but in case you are unhappy with the services provided by the front-end support team of Payoneer, you do have the option to follow Payoneer's escalation matrix. The first stage would be to escalate your concern to the team lead at CustomerServiceManager@Payoneer.com. Within 15 business days, if the concern isn't resolved, you can escalate it to VPOperations@Payoneer.com.

Look for "Customer Assistance, Complaints and Disclosures Policies" page under Payoneer homepage for more information on the escalation matrix.

  6. After having a look at your gigs, I have a feeling that the issue might be related to "keyword relevance" and/or "demand". I am not sure if people would be keen on searching for "inventory tracking template" (your gig title) to find what they are looking for, in fact, Fiverr too seems to show limited "suggested terms" for even the broad keyword "inventory"

    IMG_20220515_062404.thumb.jpg.6e33a693e2d746ba965e34f23cbdfc1a.jpg

Identify your skill sets, check if there is demand for those skill sets by analysing the gigs of sellers in your niche, and if there is indeed demand, only then create a gig with relevant keywords, description etc. Use forum's search field to check for tips on gig creation, optimization etc. And when you do, look at posts from veteran sellers (unfortunately you gotta look past the noise to find such posts). In the end, it's about helping the system find customers for you (which again depends on demand for the services you offer plus whether or not such services are compliant to Fiverr's ToS) not the other way around.

    Fair reminder for all:

Fiverr Forum  maintains a friendly, community spirited, and professional environment. Users should keep to that spirit at all times. You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember to criticize ideas, not people. We understand this is an emotional time , but harsh or personal attack like comments will not be accepted.

True, personal attacks are NOT OKAY, at the same time, I urge you to consider the fact that justifying the ban was insensitive and inappropriate and was equivalent to rubbing salt to the wounds of those who are impacted by this ban. People have been wronged, I am sure the last thing they want to hear is the "justification" behind it. Nonetheless, appreciate the much-needed reminder and appreciate all that you do to keep the forum a safe place 🙏

Putin also calls his invasion of an independent sovereign country a "special operation", spreads massive amounts of propaganda on national TV, calls Ukrainian government a bunch of n*zis while his troops are marching on Ukrainian soil plastered with "Z" symbols and shelling civilian targets. He is also rapidly implementing laws in his country which prohibit Russian citizens from freely expressing their mind and criticize their government. I hope you are smarter than to believe anything Putin says.

This is war, people will suffer and they will suffer massively, unfortunately. If you're the expert on foreign affairs and diplomatic solutions, please tell us, what has to be done, so the efforts don't seem to be "minimal".

So far, it has not been the approach. We're on the verge of a nuclear war and world leaders are doing everything to avoid escalation.

I commend every Russian brave enough to oppose their government and protest against the war. I have nothing but respect for those people as they are risking their freedom to speak their mind.

It has always been the case in autocratic governments. The kleptocrats are filling their pockets at the expense of the populace. I can only hope there will be serious changes in Russian government.

I understand. It is not my goal to aggravate the situation further, but rather rationalize the decision made by Fiverr. None of us know the full truth behind this decision, the best we can do is have an informed opinion about it. I really do hope this war ends soon and all Russian freelancers can get back working on the platform.

Most regular open-minded people know this. In terms of politics, though, Putin and his oligarch friends is Russia, unfortunately.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve with these posts but I would neither justify the war nor the sanctions.. because I am sure none of us here are "experts" when it comes to foreign affairs.. the least I can do is be sensitive to all those who are impacted by this... because people of both sides are at loss, one more so because of the death and devastation.. 🙏

Sanctions are not supposed to be felt instantly. They are supposed to slow down the economy of the country slowly. They also seem to be one of the few ways to interfere into this invasion without causing escalation.

The answer is, yes, they did. From Belarus too. Not all the countries, but a lot of them, Lithuania included.

Ya but that doesn't seem to have slowed down Putin's aggression who went on to say that Russia has enough to safeguard itself against these sanctions.. so makes me think if it's indeed working.. all that while people who don't want any part in this are at the receiving end of it.. only time will tell if these sanctions would work, but I hope it's not too late by then...

    17 minutes ago, gajuseidi said:

Not yet, and hopefully never, because that would not end up well for anyone.

    True.

    19 minutes ago, gajuseidi said:

Sadly, in this situation, it seems to be the answer. I would like to have as much optimism as you do, but the reality is different. If you would have taken at least a tiny glimpse at what Putin was talking about in the last decade, you would not even write this comment.

The reality is still that people are suffering .. and efforts to de-escalate the situation seem to be minimal. "Stop or else" is not the only approach you know. But again, guess only time will tell how it all unfolds.

To all the people saying that these sanctions don't make sense, because they are targeting regular working people, you have to understand one thing - Every ruble you pay in taxes is directly financing Putin's army and his invasion of Ukraine. You cannot blame Fiverr or any other business for deciding to cut ties with your country, you can only blame your "president".

So, did Putin go "Oh Fiverr has stopped doing business with us, let's stop the war"?

The current set of sanctions is equivalent to shooting in all directions except at the target. Did EU stop importing natural resources from Russia? No right?

And btw, Russia is at war with Ukraine, not the rest of the world, so these sanctions by private companies aren't even legal as they violate the civil rights of people in Russia. You can't just say "Oh you are from Russia, I won't work with you" when your official stance is that you aren't at war with Russia.. Because that's simply unconstitutional...

Also, applying the same logic, Fiverr should be banning itself, courtesy of the Israel-Palestine conflict, won't you agree?

When the war is over, with what face will these companies re-enter the Russian market? They left people during a turbulent time...

    2 hours ago, gajuseidi said:

These sanctions are only the beginning and everything indicates it will get worse.

Yes, instead of mediating when the focus is on arm-twisting, things will only get worse for sure.

What that man is doing cannot be justified, but the answer to human suffering is not causing more human suffering...  I wish the world leaders would stop aggravating him further and start to follow some of the principles of conflict resolution...

  11. I am dumbfounded by this move... I most certainly appreciate what Fiverr has done for Ukrainian sellers, in fact, I feel that Fiverr went above and beyond what I had personally expected of them.

But no, I am not on board with this move. Because:

    a) it violates Fiverr's own Community Standards, here's me quoting a few lines from your Community Standards page (found at https://www.fiverr.com/community/standards/objectionable-content)

    Discrimination
Under Fiverr's community standards, discrimination means unfair or unequal treatment of an individual or group based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender, marital status, race, religion, and s****l orientation.

Fiverr will investigate claims of discrimination on a case-by-case basis, and defend protected groups whenever possible.

    Do not:

Express your unwillingness to work with a person or a group of people based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender, marital status, race, religion, s****l orientation, or other similar ground.

Publish, offer, or ask for any content that expresses or supports discriminatory ideas.

Offer or ask for the writing or editing of texts that support discriminatory ideas or practices.

So I would urge you to practice what you preach...

    b) those who know the history would know that people in Russia too have been on the receiving end under what's democracy on papers but something else in reality. So if you ask me, a symbolic gesture would have been to use the proceeds from Russia to aid humanitarian efforts in Ukraine... that way PEOPLE are unaffected and you get to retain the buyers and sellers... moreover, these sanctions do little to harm the Government or in de-escalating the situation because Russia's economy is majorly dependent on the export of natural resources. So these present sanctions would only make it difficult for the civilians in Russia and not the real aggressors who probably have reserves already stacked elsewhere should they ever have to flee.

    c) Not just Fiverr but other companies who are exiting the Russian market are setting a dangerous precedent and feeding right into this "cancel culture". These moves would only lead to the emergence of new alliances and substitutes, for instance, how difficult would it be for Russia to come up with alternatives to products like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, etc.? After Visa and Mastercard discontinued their operations, Russia has already signed up with China's UnionPay. Likewise, Russia has introduced its own TLS certificate authority after their website SSL certificates weren't getting automatically renewed owing to sanctions..

This is the time when you should be making emotionally intelligent decisions rather than being a judge, jury, and executioner.

So I would urge the leadership to reconsider this decision 🙏

  12. I wish humans had the ability to feel the pain they inflict on others... this is just so sad.. as if the pandemic weren't enough.. my heart goes out to everyone who is impacted... it's nice of Fiverr to be taking up this initiative to help those who are affected by this conflict... although, it would be great if they can go that extra mile as williambryan392 and lenasemenkova pointed out... dang.. hope the conflict ends soon..

  14. This is why I don't use Fiverr as much as I used to.. .it's after a long time that I realized that Fiverr takes 20% from the seller's tips as well.. that is beside the service fee.. needless to say, I was taken aback.. It's my money after all that I chose to tip with.. would have wanted the service providers to keep 100% of the tipped value.. but well.. I am the one to blame for not realizing the existence of this practice sooner.. now I am happier since I mostly use other platforms.. as for the abuse, I believe that is already covered as @rachelbostwick once pointed out to me:

    How much can I tip?

    • The minimum amount is $5.
    • For orders below $25, the tip can be up to $25.
    • For orders above $25, the tip can be up to 100% of the price of the order.

Note: These limitations are in place to prevent fraud.

How in the heck do you teach a grown-@$$ adult that stealing is wrong?
