  1. I wrote an extensive guide on this and many more topics a while back:
  2. Please do not bump threads only to promote yourself, it is irrelevant to the topic and makes you look unprofessional.
  3. Yeah it's a shame indeed, however a bad review can also affect your overall score. I think the best alternative is to prevent this kind of issue to happen by making sure you and your client and are a good fit and are on the same page way before even taking the order. Perhaps having a handy checklist of things to ask your clients during onboarding can help you reduce cancellation and bad reviews in the long run.
  4. Oh yeah, that's messed up. That's your work and you were not paid for it if they demanded a refund. I'm not sure if CS will do anything but there is a chance you may have a legal matter in your hands and will have to tallk to a lawyer directly instead.
  5. Take a look at this guide i put together and apply the tips in it and your impressions will be on their way to improving:
  6. I do not believe you will lose your review, however if you haven't gotten an order in 60 days, it is in your best interest to start marketing your gig on as many platforms as you can. Social Media, Blogging, youtube, etc. Get those orders up Regardless of if you will lose your level or not.
  7. This looks awesome and for it's size it has an insane amount of detail! Great work.
  8. Hahaha I had never heard the word "graphician" before but it means exactly what you said, and I love that because I just learned a new word for the type of work I do. Aside from that, yes this happens a lot on Fiverr sadly, you need to do really good audits of the work of Illustrators to get a good one. As suggested before, it is best to cancel the order if you are not confident in their abilities and find an illustrator that is right for the sort of work that you are looking for. Keep in mind that lower prices will very often mean bad quality work or similar cases to this. A good page rate for a children's book is from $60-$150 depending on whether it's a full-page illustration or only character illustrations. Keep that in mind when you're looking for new illustrators. If you see anyone offering you $5 full-page illustrations there is a high chance that you will not like what you receive. Lastly, take a look at this thread where a bunch of other illustrators (including myself) have posted some wonderful work and perhaps you can find someone that you like there. Because they are voluntarily sharing their art you will find that all of the ones on this thread create their own work from scratch and you don't have to worry about such things.
  9. Yeah, we need a bit more information about what happened. Because if they did not buy anything then you can just block them and report them for harrasment.
  10. From my understanding as a Fiverr Illustrator and artist, once the order is delivered you can download the unwatermarked image by clicking on the green text in the order instead of saving the thumbnail preview. The downloaded file is not supposed to have a watermark, the watermark is so that when it shows up on the Gig portfolio other people can't steal what you paid for, but if you paid for it and downloaded it correctly it shouldn't have the watermark. You can also ask the buyer directly to send you the image. I've had many buyers that don't know how to download the image ask me to send it to them through inbox instead of on the order gig page.
  11. Sometimes when clients are unresponsive it is best to deliver the project and leave things in their hands. Whilst in some cases people are busy and can't really be 100% responsive, many of them will communicate it and ask you to wait or create a new schedule for them. However, when they do not communicate and they don't let you know the reason as to why they are uncommunicative it can be that they aren't as interested in the project overall, and if the client isn't interested in the project then why should you? That all being said, I think an exit report is a good idea, and even though AI for the most part is frowned upon in certain areas of the internet, perhaps Chat GPT or a similar tool can help you complete the information you need without having to ask the client for it? That would be my suggestion, to give some AI generate text a try and then deliver. It is my knowledge that using such tools to generate the content text for a website is not breaking any copyright laws and you will be able to deliver something a bit more complete and then it's up to the client to revise it on their end.
  12. The info Nika gave is very true. My one suggestion would be for you to ask them to copy and paste the information from the other account into this one so you can verify that it's the same person and there is a record that you are working on this order for this person and not someone else and thus they don't cancel it on you afterward claiming that's not what they wanted. All in all, is a little shady, but if it they refuse to copy-paste the information into this new order then that's even shadier and cause enough to go to Costumer Support to get it canceled.
  13. Congratulations! You are well on your way towards 100 reviews and no doubt then 1,000. Keep up the good work.
  14. Whether the story is particularly true or not, I don't think it matters that much. Of course, the Fiverr platform is unreliable and risky as most of the internet is, and in the end, the famous phrase of not putting all your eggs in one basket applies here perfectly. I am sorry to hear that you lost your access to Fiverr, however, I am happy to hear that you were able to save most of your earnings and are using them to create new business ventures. Perhaps a good lesson would be to invest a portion of profits into creating more income streams that we as freelancers and business owners can have more control of. Fiverr for sure is a great way to generate a good sizable income, but we also have to think about the future and not think that because we are riding high on the wave things will stay like that forever. Whilst I have not made nearly as much money as the OP, I too was hit with the devasting reality that success on Fiverr can change in an instant after a Hurricane hit my island and I couldn't work for several months. I lost all my TOS privileges and looking back at it, it was good because it allowed me to pivot and create deeper connections with local clients that allow me to bounce back between my Fiverr clients and the rest of my business. All in all, sometimes there is some good that comes from the bad. Thanks for sharing this story with us, and I hope more freelancers are able to fortify themselves with knowledge in order to create stable businesses that don't fully depend on other people making their decisions for them.
  15. Thank you so much for sharing my guide. I appreciate you sharing it and enjoying it.
  16. Some really awesome stuff in here! Here's something I'm currently working on.
  17. Actually no worries at all. I thought the seller plus and Fiverr pro where the same thing, so I thought you were paying for Fiverr Pro, but after reading this post and doing some research I launched my own application. Thanks so much for making this post and giving us some knowledge we might have not otherwise known.
  18. I am very happy you find them useful even for a veteran user of Fiverr.
  19. It's good to see you found a way to receive orders again. Hopefully, the new orders will allow you to get TRS again.
  20. Congratulations. Do your best work on it.
  21. When you were accepted for Fiverr Pro, did you join, or did you just keep working till you became a Top Rated Seller?
  22. Congrats! Keep working hard and soon enough you will reach level two.
  23. Being constantly on top of wether your gig appears on the search engine is a wasted effort. It would help if you instead focused on driving your own traffic to your gig, and optimizing your gig so that when possible buyers do land on it you are able to capitalize on their time and get more orders. Improve your gig information and images, and try social media marketing, writing a blog about your niche, and linking to your gig in everyone relevant place you possibly can. This will ensure that you gig continue to generate impressions regardless of if Fiverr shows it in the search or not.
  24. I'm sorry to hear that. I know upgrading the wireless speed is not a possibility for everyone. Personally on slow internet days I tend to use my phone's wi-fi or I've also been known to go to a cafe or wi-fi bar, and that's helped me lots.
