  1. Do you have a portfolio option on your profile as well as the gig page? I'm not sure if everyone has access to that now or not. Another option is to create an off-site portfolio and share a link. This page in the Help documentation lists the allowed URLs (https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies). Just make sure you never share off-site contact information (Read the TOS carefully).
  2. It happens to everyone, unfortunately. Mark them as spam and move on.
  3. This is a great failure of the Fiverr system for writers. I'd suggest not allowing extra word additions automatically. Instead, the buyer would have to contact you, and you could create a custom order for the total. The only other option is to send a 'request for more time' from the resolution center after the order is already placed. I'd suggest putting a sentence in your gig description that clearly states all orders above X number of words need a custom order or longer delivery time. Some people won't read it, but you have something to point to when you send the request for more time. We have been asking Fiverr to fix this problem for literally YEARS (automatically adding more time when a buyer orders more words), but they just don't listen.
  4. IF you used content/graphics from your own outside website, this could be a false positive on copyright infringement. The domain-based email address isn't enough to prove ownership, most likely. I'd keep trying with customer service with actual proof that you own the content. If you can't prove that, however, you're out of luck.
  5. Deliver with the delivery button. That's required. If the buyer needs a revision, they can request one. If you deliver through the Inbox messaging, what if they don't get back to you quickly? You'll have a late delivery. Or, they will take your work, cancel the order, and you won't get paid. Just follow the Fiverr rules and methods.
  6. Why don't you use your digital marketing skills for your own business and get clients?
  7. Report them to Fiverr and get your money back. Copyright infringement, plagiarism, and theft aren't things to discuss with the seller. They're against the TOS and many laws. The seller should get kicked off the site.
  8. Some folks can set up subscriptions, which include recurring payments. It's not available to everyone or for every gig. Also, there's no such thing as a money-back guarantee here. You could agree to cancel the order if they don't like the delivery, but it would negatively affect your account.
  9. It's strange about the confidence thing. I'm good enough that people have paid me to write for 20+ years... enough to take care of my family on one income. Yet, I lack the 'confidence' that some others display dramatically. (I'm not pointing that out egotistically, it's just data.) I think too much confidence is in direct opposition to your second paragraph. People think they're great, so they stop learning. (Exactly @imagination7413's post above!) You simply can't do that as a freelancer in any field. You stop growing and adapting, you fail. If you're in that place of non-growth and over-confidence in the beginning, you won't even get started.
  10. Excellent post. I think every seller has to start with (or quickly accept) knowing that freelancing is building a business and a brand. Marketing isn't 'share on social media' or 'post in the forum.' Customer services isn't saying 'sir' (ugh) and having a one-hour response time. There is a lot more that goes into creating a viable business than any tips and tricks can ever teach someone. There is no easy way. That's not how freelancing works.
  11. They probably can't. Why would someone want to hire a seller who doesn't know how to do something?
  12. The 'Telegram scam' is unfortunately common. We are not allowed to contact people off of Fiverr anyway, so of course this is not a real order!
  13. *Sings a sea-shanty* I just wanted to be a part of the fun!
  14. The first one is unprofessional, in my opinion. It's not the buyer's responsibility to make sure we get paid more quickly. We serve them, not the other way around. The second two are things that a seller can include in their order requirements or other communication. We're responsible for getting thorough information from our buyers, and inviting them to ask questions is part of that. I personally don't like Fiverr taking more control of my communication with buyers. They did that with the three basic questions on some gigs already, which make my order page look rather generic and imprecise.
  15. You probably would not need it if you work in photo editing. You would edit pictures the buyer sent to you, I assume. It's a little add-on for other services. I write, for example, and some buyers want a stock photo to include with a blog post.
  16. I have a quick response that basically says "This is spam" that I push before marking them as spam. I know it's not supposed to affect you, but it does seem to.
  17. Did you ask for an extension for more time? If you can actually do the job but need more time, that is an option. If you can't actually do the service you offered, and the buyer won't accept a cancellation request, contact customer service. This will, of course, be a negative mark against you. I highly doubt any lawyer would get involved with a Fiverr order when the client can simply get their money back, however.
  18. Do you already have the maximum number of active gigs for your level? Are there any warnings on your account?
  19. This is why I use Milestones. They simply split one order up into parts. You set up the parts with separate prices. You can make up to six milestones. Do the first, deliver it, the buyer has to accept it before the second one begins, etc. You get paid once all the Milestones are complete, not as you go along, however. Another option would be to set up a subscription if you have that capability. Then, they automatically get a new order for 10,000 words or whatever every week/month. When each one finishes, the money goes to you (after the 14-day clearance period, of course)
  20. Being active has no affect on your gig impressions at all. The quality of your gig and your marketing does.
  21. No one on the forum can help you. Wait for the Fiverr team to get back to you. This wasn't 'accidental,' however. You failed to read and understand the TOS. If you had done that, as you are directed to do when you sign up, you would have known you can't talk to buyers about changing the ratings.
  22. Fiverr doesn't work that way. Also, as a long-time freelancer, profit-sharing is 99% of the time worthless. Do not tie your income to someone else's efforts. You deserve to get paid for the services you provide.
  23. I agree completely. Unfortunately, the people who do this type of thing won't read or understand this post. Just keep marking them as spam.
  24. The idea of just picking a platform to post (spam...) your gig on demonstrates a serious lack of understanding what marketing is. The right platform depends on what you're selling, how you're selling it, what price point, etc. There isn't a simple answer.
  25. Well no. Fiverr doesn't offer that. You'd have to use a different system and the buyer would somehow have to trust you.
