  1. Social media posting spam never works. It's annoying and highly unprofessional. Building an off-Fiverr brand platform that includes a social media presence as part of the marketing efforts absolutely will help. The thing is, that takes a lot more than reading 500 posts that say "post on social media" alongside gems like "stay online 24/7," etc. Many sellers won't put in the effort to learn the difference between spam and effective marketing.
  2. My most memorable earns that title from sheer ridiculousness. The buyer expected me to print out the articles I wrote and deliver them to their office halfway across the country. I thought they were joking, but no. I think that would definitely break Fiverr's TOS about doing business off the platform. I've been here for 12+ years, and it's hard to pick out the best orders. There have been many engaging and entertaining ones. I really enjoy working on folks' novels. Writing for an Icelandic travel bureau let me explore amazing locations virtually. Although more time-consuming and thus less lucrative, I love projects that require a lot of research. I love learning new stuff!
  3. New Jersey, USA. It's nicer than you've heard!
  4. It would make much more sense if we could offer a fast-delivery gig extra that subtracted days from the order total. Deliver 3 days earlier for $X.
  5. No. There's no way to browse buyer interests or requests anymore.
  6. So, if you no longer need the children's book formatting gig, delete it and create this new virtual assistant one.
  7. This is a completely new gig that provides a new service. You cannot just switch the entire gig to something else. Make a new gig for a new service.
  8. I don't have access (unless I just don't know where to find it), but I've never purchased anything through Fiverr. I plan to soon and would like to check out Neo, but I suppose it doesn't make sense to give access to non-buyers. Does it just show up on the front page or something?
  9. No. As long as you delivered the initial order on-time, you're good.
  10. You purchased an ITIN through Fiverr? That seems... unbelievable. Unless ITIN means something different than what I know.
  11. Do you have another service you can offer with a high degree of professionalism? Then, yes.
  12. What do you think is important to tell to your buyers? The very least, I believe, is to thank them for their order, remind them of your revision policy if you have one, and say you'd be happy to work with them again. The rest depends on your service and the order situation. (It's Fiverr, by the way, not fiberr. Accuracy always helps professionalism.)
  13. I began freelancing more than 20 years ago due to personal family challenges that made getting a "real job" extremely challenging. I had a marketable skill, enjoyed learning, and dove in. At that time, it was relatively easy to make quick money writing almost anything online. This was pre-Panda (Google algorithm update). After that, I pivoted to more specific and lucrative freelancing opportunities and other income sources. The rest is history. Fiverr remains an appreciated but small part of my overall online efforts. Like Donnovan said, AI is forcing another period of adaptation. Freelancing full-time is certainly interesting.
  14. Asking for a company name should not get your account closed down. That's necessary information for many types of services. There must be something else.
  15. Maybe potential buyers don't like the way you shout (all Caps = shouting). You also have two identical gigs AND you shared a contact number. That is against TOS and you'll probably have your whole account deactivated soon if you don't follow the rules.
  16. You do not need a Shutterstock subscription. If a buyer orders an image through this system, you will be able to search Fiverr's Shutterstock collection for an appropriate image, download it, and send it to your buyer. This does not include the entire Shutterstock collection you'd find on their platform, but there are many to choose from.
  17. My milestones always start automatically when the previous one is accepted. This sounds very strange, and I'd contact customer service about it. You should get paid for the first milestone if it's marked as complete, at least.
  18. This reminds me of when I used to play World of Warcraft and orcs would wander around saying "Work is da poop!"
  19. When finalizing the order plan with the buyer, make sure to emphasize what they will *not* get as well as what they *will* get. Assumptions lead to dissatisfaction and aggravation... and possibly poor ratings!
  20. On this page, there is a list of approved URLs we can use for portfolios: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies
  21. Find a professional skill you can do with a high degree of competence. You are currently not doing this. Then, offer it to individuals and organizations that need that skill.
  22. I'm having the download issue as well on my order pages. Hopefully they fix it soon! I have work to do.
  23. Streamlining things is always good. I'd suggest closing threads for new comments after a reasonable amount of time (months). I find a lot of "good job" or "thanks" (or bad suggestions like staying online 24/7) meaningless posts in the Unread content section attached to original posts that are 1-2 years old. That's simply clutter and annoying.
  24. IF there is a possible buyer on the forum here, seeing posts like this will make them run away. How unprofessional! You're supposed to be a freelancer, a business owner, someone professional who can provide quality services for people and other companies. You're acting like a street corner beggar. I really don't understand people. What have you done to actually grow your business?
