  1. Holy crap, did I just walk into Reddit? 😛
  2. This is phase 1. That's all I can say. Fiverr wasn't very open about how they are judging the quality, however, the trigger is manual. I have been saying it for a long time now: private reviews, people. Public ratings mean nothing. If your buyer admits in their private review that they received something different than what was advertised, or that they aren't all that happy, but they had a deadline, Fiverr investigates. Fiverr is cleaning up house. And if sellers hate phase 1, they will definitely don't like phase 2. 🙂
  3. It depends on the severity of the case. If your account was punished for breaking ToS then for a certain amount of time your gigs will probably underperform as your account is not in good standing. That warning will never be removed from your account but the amount of time your gigs are not served varies depending on the severity of your actions.
  4. I don't think you need to start over. By being active again, you will signal Fiverr that you are able to handle orders. Edits/adjust your gigs, the ones with the most traction so far, to make sure you are still relevant when compared to your vertical and even though it may take a while, you should start seeing some traction again. Don't edit things over and over. Just once and then see how it goes, give it at least 14 days. Don't deal with low performing gigs at all. Don't delete them, but no need to edit EVERYTHING, just your top two earners.
  5. You initiated an inbox conversation, to another user who is most likely also a seller. (the fact that they purchased from you is irrelevant) And I am going out on a limb here, but you may have initiated a number of inbox conversations before.
  6. One of the buttons the buyer can press is “I need more time to review the work”.
  7. I can't share more information about how they are going about this. In this early stage, the customer has multiple points where they can declare that what they received was of poor quality. Once when a delivery is made and they request for a revision, and then once again when a cancellation is initiated. (My theory is that those flags still count and stack up. So even if you do get to re-deliver a bunch of times and the buyer accepts the delivery, if you keep getting that specific flag raised, it will lead into an investigation. Same goes for cancellations of course.) Those are manual triggers that casue for an actual investigation, and as a policy accounts under investigation get freezed out until a conclusion is reached. The new system goes a lot deeper than that, and I am not sure we'll see it implemented any time soon. But it is coming.
  8. There is an initiative that I know for a fact Fiverr is working on, that will essentially draw a line in the sand in terms of who can work on the platform in certain categories. Said initiative is based on quality of output. I don't know if this is part of it, or if they decided to work on existing accounts that have low quality plus almost zero traction, as the original plan was to create a wall and not allow new sellers in certain catagories without proving they can actually deliver. I only saw just one post, so not sure if something started happening or if this is actually Fiverr turning on a "purge" switch. Can you link to the other threads, either here on in private?
  9. Thank you @Lena for dropping in! I have a hunch that these 3 mods will make a world of difference on how the forum looks and works. 🙂
  10. Hey everyone. Just a quick announcement: Starting today 3 of our fellow members have been promoted to moderators with some additional privileges when compared to regular members. @lloydsolutions @imagination7413 And @williambryan392 I nominated these three members to the admin because I feel like they are helpful and can contribute a lot more as mods. They will now have the ability to move threads to where they belong, and handle some of the flags. Welcome aboard! PM me so I can help you with orientation. 🙂
  11. Welcome to the forum. You should definitely go to eat at Port Sa ‘id but be prepared to wait 30-40 mins for a table. But it’s 100% worth it. Also the Bell Boy bar has the most amazing ambiance and cocktails, you need to make a reservation ahead of time. Also lots of museums downtown (Tel Aviv - Yafo), plus the beach is like 20 minutes away. Oh I also heard the local flea market is a great attraction but it wasn’t my scene so I didn’t go.
  12. There is a separate exit survey when an order is canceled through mutual agreement, where they ask you why you wanted to cancel and what exactly happened. It’s been a while since I had to cancel an order as a buyer so this questionnaire may have been changed, but it does exist still.
  13. Just disable all notifications and stop visiting. No need to disable the forum account in my opinion.
  14. You need 0 warnings in order to maintain TRS. You have 1. A second warning within the same time period will result in a ban. If you don’t get demoted automatically on evaluation day, which is the most likely scenario, the trust and safety team can still manually demote a TRS account to level 2 at any team if there is a good enough reason. So your only chance is to discuss with trust and safety if this warning was in error.
  15. I wanted to play the RE 2 remake, which I finished several times back in the day, bit for some reason I noped out of it like 5 minutes in. Maybe I am not as interested in scaring the crap out of me 20 years later. Downloading stray right now. 🙂
  16. They are full of baloney. Whoever is behind this account is trying way too hard to sound like an expert on all things Fiverr.
  17. Yeah this member is definitely not happy with their restriction (which I didn’t actually have the pleasure of pulling the trigger of) and it seems that they are doing this to get back to me, or whatever. What I find weird is how a 0 sales brand new account jumped right in and tried to act as if they have all the answers on all things Fiverr. They also claimed they were a big team and threw around several names and titles.
  18. Yes, they can totally skip the public review and go for the private one. There are also 2 reminders for them to take the private one.
  19. We all start with neither. Then through experience, skill is honed in. I think a more relevant question is about hard skills vs soft skills and the impact each one has in our business growth.
  20. Covid-19 sucks. Running a high fever for 5 days straight.

@vickiespencer Today is the first time I am feeling better. Fever is down, I am now able to eat a bit more and don’t have headaches.

I hope you're pretty fine again by now and won't have any lasting symptoms! 🤞

It’s been a wild ride but I am feeling better now. Looks like today I may be able to stop isolating. 🙂

  21. The team behind briefs learned their lesson the hard way. 🙂 I have high hopes that this new feature focuses on match making and does not end up as another race to the bottom marathon.
  22. You should definitely look into that. That’s not normal. If you get negative reviews when you first deliver that means your onboarding process is non-existent or that you were way off on the actual content. To clarify that has nothing to do with how you write but more like how you set/manage expectations. Re: delivery notes No wonder you are getting straight up negative reviews with no revision requests. Again to clarify: I don’t think you should tell them “how the sausage is made”. This is more in the lines of “I listened to your requirements, delivered as per your request and here’s what you can or can’t change at this stage”. Delivery notes help provide clarity and protect the work. Plus it’s a great place for CS to find at a glance how you actually did what was agreed upon if they are inspecting the order for whatever reason. Delivery notes also help the client feel heard and that you actually did the best you could.
  23. So much to unpack here. Why do you “pre-deliver” via order update and not actually deliver? Your “are you happy with my work” question is too open ended for its own good. You need to add delivery notes to your every delivery instead, that explains and reminds the client why you took a certain direction and how you handled their project according to the scope agreed upon.
  24. Reviews manipulation is handled by CS if there are sufficient evidence. Their comment about the review wasn’t a threat, it was a -seemingly- legitimate request. I get those comments A LOT, usually about revisions. Reviews are mentioned when the buyer knows they are pushing the limits of their scope. That’s when they tend to mention their future glowing review, as a means to motivate the seller to go the extra 3-5 miles. It took me a while to learn how to handle these requests, I usually brush them off. Another thing to keep in mind is that when they mention the review it means they are having a positive experience up to that point. So handling it with empathy is important.
