  1. Do the same as when you want to stop the drug dealer harassing you. Just say no.
  2. The thing is, Kaya isn’t even the pretty one - that honor goes to Juna (on the right)… image.jpg605×661 116 KBThis photo shows Kaya in her more natural, “derpy” phase. For a second I thought there was a third one at the top of the image… It’s 3am here ok? 3am means 03.00 for those unfamiliar with the 12 hour clock
  3. I’m sorry, Paul. Kaya stole the spotlight. Cuter than you, too! 🤭 But it is close IMO
  4. I am a big fan of hotel lobbies for working. Comfy couches, some but not too much background noise and usually decent coffee available. Much better than doing it at a cafe where you tend to be surrounded by “writers” with Macbooks, wearing glasses they don’t need, ordering weird beverages (or worse, not ordering anything), trying to look busy but any time you stroll past them they have FB, Twitter, Insta or Reddit open - presumably researching of course .
  5. It’s a good question. The thing is, this seller knew that I was not in a rush for this order. I told them at the beginning to choose how long to take. They had 2 extensions to that, they asked for 1 day and each time I said take 2 days! I really wasnt in a rush for this so it didnt affect me aside from the fact that I dislike people being unprofessional. If they had said 10 days in the beginning then everything would have been fine. Instead they said 4 and took 10… I might use them for similar stuff as the price was good and the end delivery was good but if I have a deadline then no, I won’t use them again. I would actually have tipped more for this service if they had not messed around. As it was, I gave them $5 on a $25 order but if all had gone well, I would have tipped more, probably $25 as it was really cheap. Remember though, I am not a typical buyer in that I tend to look at things from the seller’s point of view and I am rarely in a hurry for something. That is not normal.
  6. I know it is a little O/T but just want to highlight the fact that this New Seller that I hired redelivered just now and had actually done a hell of a lot more than I had asked of them so while the extensions were annoying, the final delivery was well above what was expected.
  7. Funny enough, it isn’t for me. I have hired people that I had to suspend from the forum 😃 It really depends on the context I suppose but I haven’t not-hired someone for something that happened on the forum. I strongly suggest that writers create specific gigs for specific subjects, rather than just one “I am a writer, have me write anything” type gigs. It helps me as a buyer choose and helps the gigs show up in search results. Think about it - if you want a tech writer, would you just search for “writer”? Of course not, you would try out the more specific search term. Nothing wrong with having a general one too of course but specific ones are much more attractive. No need, I have flagged the comments which were not appropriate to the topic and asked people to stick to it in future. It doesnt need to be removed as it is a very useful topic.
  8. So here is my two cents on buying. Most of the time it depends what I am buying and for what purpose. For example, I buy a lot of writing gigs. My process for choosing writers is like this: Check out people on the forum who write well (I am on the forum a lot so I can see those who are good at it. Probably 70-80% of the writers I hired were from the forum. However, the ones I hire are those who actually contribute to conversations and can express themselves well. Those who just spam the forum will never be hired.Check out their profiles; who are they and how could they relate to the article I need written. eg. I hired a student recently to write something specifically about being a student. I hired a tech guy to write about tech.Check out their gigs and descriptions. What do they offer, price, word count, time-frame, etc.Check reviews to see if they have any bad reviews. Assess the reviews and take them with a pinch of salt unless there is a high proportion of them.If my article is something specific, I tend to send a message and ask them if they are happy to write about it.Now, the above seems like a lot, right? Well that’s because these articles are important and writing is an art form which some can do and others think they can do but can’t. I apply similar criteria when hiring for things like video, logo, graphics etc. Once I find a writer, I tend to give them a lot of orders, even if they are not 100% suited to the particular job. It is easier than looking for a new one. I have never had an issue with any writer I have hired - every one delivered what was required. I also hired someone recently for a very simple but time consuming job which was data collection from a site. For this, I went to the VA sectionselected “New Sellers”opened the profiles of a couple of sellerschecked the price/number of hoursselected one which had a nice description and a good (but not the lowest) price.sent them a message explaining what I wanted and was impressed when they responded asking for more info and specifics about how I wanted the data laid out.Hired them through a custom offer with a delivery date that they picked. ($25)Now, the results… With my recent writing orders, I received excellent work, delivered on time. I have since reordered with both. With the data collection order, I have had 2 extension requests which were extremely polite and as I am not in a rush for it, I allowed them. I have just received their delivery and it had nothing attached so I have requested a revision obviously. I took a chance on someone without any reviews and was as nice as can be in allowing them everything they asked for to complete the order. In the end, if this is cancelled then it is not an issue as I can get someone else and it is not time dependent. However, for a lot of orders, this would have been a disaster as it would have affected me delivering for a client of mine. So that’s the how and why I choose certain sellers over others. Had the new seller done what was asked, even with an extension, they could have counted on several repeat orders. Not a chance of that now. Just had another look at the order - the order was delivered empty 15 mins before it would have been late (for the third time). Still giving them benefit of the doubt but I can’t see this being anything other than a cancellation.
  9. Firstly - Can everyone refrain from turning this into a “new seller v lev 1 v lev 2 v TRS v Pro” argument. These are completely useless and help nobody. Fiverr has plenty of space for all sellers. In 2.5 years here with over 1200 completed orders, I have gone from new to TRS and not once has a buyer ever mentioned my level. Never. None. Some might have chosen me because of it but I think there are many other reasons for it. It is probably best for people to discuss those reasons instead as these are things that people can actually control - controlling your level is much less achievable so why bother discussing it?
  10. As mentioned above, the Fiverr Forum is not the place for requesting services. As to why there was no explanation, well, the forum rules and guidelines state what is and isnt supposed to be posted here. In addition, the forum is moderated by unpaid volunteers - if we had to go and start discussions with every person who posts something that isnt allowed then we would never be able to do anything else, considering the forum has approx 600 thousand users. As for it being authoritarian - this is the forum of a private company; any Fiverr account holders are allowed post anything once it is within the rules of the forum and main site. That is pretty standard for most company forums.
  11. This is ridiculous - you have a gig that offers a social media kit as part of the Premium package and yet you dont know what it is? You said this on your gig: Well, the fact that you dont even know what it is has certainly made me go WOW! but probably not in the way that Gigblast meant when he wrote it on his gig that you copied. Sellers like you give Fiverr a bad name.
  12. Hopefully you respond to messages quicker than the 3 months it took to respond to this post.
  13. Do you ever worry that you are missing out on the big orders that will not rip you off? I focus on larger orders mainly. After 1100 orders completed I have had 1 chargeback of $100. That’s all. Anyone who is really, really worried about chargebacks, just take 2% of all earnings and set it aside as your “Bad debt protection fund” which is advisable for any business. This will allow people to expand their business by taking away the paralyzing fear of chargebacks that some people seem to have.
  14. Hmmm, I think you need to get out more Mike but yes, it really surprises me when people have never come across it. Offline, it is completely standard to get and give credit limits.
  15. Maybe in your type of business it doesnt happen but I have clients from all over Europe and this is pretty standard for the majority of agencies. Once you are making a regular income, after two weeks it doesn’t really make a difference anyway.
  16. It already is. In many business to business services, invoices are due 14, 30 or 60 days after the work is delivered. And that is only when they are DUE, some businesses take longer to pay and need to be constantly followed up and reminded. With Fiverr, the payment comes without any additional work to chase it.
  17. It sounds like your profile needs to get a bit of a kickstart again. This post is one I made which is aimed at helping people get some sales again when they have had a slow period.
  18. Nobody is saying that, what people are saying is that a 14 day clearance time is not unusual in most industries.
  19. Whoa! You must be a mind-reader. 😯 Yes! I love it, men in skirts are so damn sexy. 😋 I’d like to see you in this get-up! 😅 Scroll up and take a look at Vickie’s image (The beard one) One name stands out the most. 😛 Shhh, keep it to yourself! 🤫 😃 The most delicious thing ever! It shouldn’t be but it is! Yes, we copied it from them. Plenty of room
  20. Be honest, its the men in “skirts” that you want to see. No wonder the guys there shout FREEEDOOOMM
  21. Just the pleasure of your company of course. Nah, I’m lying - I want a Godzilla egg and a surprise.
  22. Brr, I’m a hot-blooded Island girl so the cold weather is brutal, I have a hard time. 😨 I’ll go but I’ll need one of these (faux of course) 😛 Faux #1 coat2.jpg1500×2000 689 KBFaux #2 coat.jpg1020×1386 141 KB… and a nice HOT cup of… Oh and a fireplace 🔥 ■■■■ Mr. GQ himself is in the building. 😋 True. You can always take @fonthaunt with you. 🙂 then we’ll have neighborly fun. 🙃 Well obviously she will be with me - I thought that went without saying?
  23. I just watched 😮 One word: BREATHTAKING 😍 OMG, so you’re like 2 hours away? Mini getaways should be the thing to do, well with that special someone of course. Failte Ireland is truly splendid. Maybe this is where I’ll want to be tomorrow. 😛 I’m intrigued by the beauty. The… Wild Rugged Untamed The drive The music & VO was spectacular, too. I’M SOLD!!! :ok_hand:t4: The bearded lady or a hottie? 🤭 Blah! Are you sure about that? Nothing is ever boring if you’re with me tho. Ok, but enough about me… Can one not be both? Well perhaps, but you never mentioned we would be there at the same time! We could be Bora-Bora neighbors!
  24. A client from N Carolina sent me this video recently (cos he likes to chat and stuff). The location is approx 2 hours away from me so perhaps I need to just go and do it… As for the companion, I am also up for but if there are other options then perhaps… Bora-bora seems nice but I would worry that it might get bora-boring after a while
  25. I believe they are subject to them yes, although a lot of the new ones were not leveled up yet anyway. I said somewhere else that there are Ambassadors, Super Sellers and even the Fiverr Millionaire lady who were all demoted today. There were no exceptions from what I can see.
