  1. You should have seen Fiverr in the good old days, it used to be wild, lots of Free Speech, lots of questionable gigs. Those days are gone.
  2. A cancellation might get your gigs banned from promoted gigs. This is temporary, but it can last weeks or months.
  3. Don't pressure them, otherwise they might leave bad feedback.
  4. Are you sure? I recently got a $50 order, then nothing, then I lowered that price to $30, and got another order. Both orders were promoted gigs, for the same amount of work. What do you think this means?
  5. It's the cancellations that got you in trouble. The same can happen if you get a 4.7 review or anything Fiverr doesn't like. The good news is that nothing is permanent on Fiverr, so your gigs will qualify again in a few weeks or months. Today is May 11, and I have made $112 thanks to promoted gigs. My total ad spend is $6. Totally worth it.
  6. So, you're basically suspending our Russian buyers, you're suspending our income. There's no justification! You're virtue signaling is costing us money, and doesn't help Ukraine in any way.
  7. Promoted gigs led me to a $50 order, I spent $1 on the click. However, it's pretty unreliable, my max budget is $25 a day, but I'm not sure if Fiverr is promoting my gigs. Then again, it depends on what people are searching. If no one needs book titles, I won't be paying the cost per click. I did get a weird request for a brand name. I suppose that's because book titles are under the brand name category. Don't know if he found me through promoted gigs.
  8. How are you handling the taxes? Do you have an S-corp? Are you filing quarterly? Can't imagine how much Uncle Sam wants from your earnings. I wonder if one can deduct the 20% that Fiverr takes. Either way, congratulations. You have unique gigs and unique skills. Most people can't quit their jobs with the gigs they have. Even during the good old days of Fiverr, the most I ever made was $1,500 to $2,000 a month.
  9. Seller Plus? What is that? I was using Promoted Gigs, then got banned. Fiverr only promotes the people they like, and just because they like you today doesn't mean they'll like you tomorrow. Hardly anyone works for $5 anymore. I did raise my prices. I figure if I rarely get an order, I might as well make more money per order. In the old days, I could charge $5 or $10, and get 5 to 20 orders per day. I miss the old days, Fiverr was better.
  10. The only thing I hate about promoted gigs is that Fiverr can stop your promotion anytime they want. One buyer gave you a 4.8 instead of a 5, you can't promote your gigs anymore. It's frustrating! I chose no cap bids, $10 a day, and I'm on Fiverr's blacklist. I once tried advertising my gigs on Facebook, but apparently I need a landing page, I can't just use my Fiverr gig links. I just want Fiverr to take my money and get my clicks, yet apparently they have enough money.
  11. This month, January 2022, I spent $3.85 and made $176. From one gig. I'm not sure if my competitors are abusing this feature, I work full-time (outside of Fiverr), and rarely have time to search for my competitors and see what they're doing. I did search my keywords, and noticed that two on my gigs are on the first row, and one is on the third row. If that means spending up to $3 per click (I chose "no cap" on promoted gigs), that might be worth it if I get orders. My daily budget is $10. I I ever spend $10 and get no orders, I might consider raising prices or lowering the cap to something I can afford. I hope you give this feature a chance, I see it as investing in your business.
  12. Bitcoin is too unstable as a currency. I bought last year, several times, now my BTC gain is -$141.
  13. I have "Achieve these goals to be nominated for a Top Rated Seller" for months now, and I've yet to be nominated for TRS. The only thing you can do is promote your gigs outside of Fiverr, if you know how (I struggle with that), maybe go to buyers requests and bid, and find something else to do while sales are down. This could be the perfect time to learn something new.
  14. Most people aren’t getting promoted to Top Rated Seller (TRS), even when they meet all the requirements. It’s really a matter of luck, being picked among the pile. I know people with amazing sales numbers, long queues, who haven’t been promoted. Contacting CS won’t help, they’re not the ones who pick the TRS’s. In fact, I don’t think anyone knows the editors that do.
  15. Great advice, I only have one thing to add. If you charge a commercial license, I’m going to hire the seller that doesn’t charge for that license. Think about it. Making something is better than making nothing.
  16. Well it never hurts to make more money 🙂 But I agree with you, in that case you don’t know how much these optimizations might be able to help you. If they do, then it’s worth it. Think of all the secret information Fiverr has. They know what people are searching for, what gigs are making a ton of money, whether gig videos work, etc. With that said, my first success manager (when I was TRS) didn’t do nothing for me. I asked him a bunch of direct questions, and instead of providing direct answers, he gave me generic nonsense. I suspect he was overwhelmed, maybe had too many clients. I do hope that this time is better.
  17. If you’re making $1,000 to $2,000 a month, if you can get a ton of buyers regardless of search results, if your blog or Facebook ads drive traffic to your gig like crazy, then you don’t need this program. Those of us who aren’t making great money, need this program. If I invest $29 and get $200, $500, $1,000 in sales, where’s the downside? If the program doesn’t work, you can always quit.
  18. Did the seller offer 24 hour delivery? Did he click “deliver now” and gave you nothing? Why didn’t you use the Resolution Center? Why not demand a refund before going to PayPal? Fiverr doesn’t like it when people file disputes on PayPal. Fiverr wants you to work with them first. Disputing on PayPal is going outside of Fiverr, and it will get you banned. I hope you can resolve the problem.
  19. This is a standard message all of us see. It appears regardless of the tests you pass. If you’re able to update your gig, then don’t worry about the test. Besides, you already passed.
  20. It’s very hard, it requires a lot of searching until you find something with no results, and then figure out if you want to do it or not. The trick is to do something original, even within a crowded category. Sometimes you see logo designers that specialize in restaurants, so you have to search “restaurant logo” to find them. Same goes for religious book covers, romance book covers, etc. For voice talent, I imagine there must be a few you can find if you search “Spanish accent.” So if you need someone that sounds like Ricardo Montalban, that’s how you find him.
  21. Date of post: 15 Sep 2019 Current (as of this post) results for “Beta Reader”: 1,068 Services available Date of post: 23 Oct 2019 Current results for “Watercolour” (with a ‘u’): 314 Services available Date of post: 18 Dec 2019 Current results for “baby names”: 43 Services available Oh, here’s a more common one! Date of post: 6 Jan 2020 Current results for “video editing”: 24,478 Services available Date of post: 21 Jan 2020 Current results for “English teacher”: 674 Services available In conclusion, ALL have roughly doubled in the past year/10 months. I know most of these have NO actual demand, and thus are very niche, but finding forum posts that qualified (right timeframe, listed search word(s), hard number posted) is tricky. To me the idea is finding a “gig monopoly,” in other words, a gig no one else has. Sometimes no one else has it because it’s worthless, but other times you’re the first one to see an opportunity no one else has seen. Imagine that everyone has gigs about swiss cheese, and you find there isn’t a single gig for feta.
  22. Everyone knows going on vacation drops your impressions and your sales. It’s OK, it will climb back up. Demotions are far worst. A level demotion can cut your sales in half, maybe 75%. The good news is sometimes your old customers remember you. They don’t need to find you in the search results. Some sellers ignore the level system and just market their gigs all over the place. It’s not my thing, but I respect them.
  23. A lot of companies issue W9’s, even when you do freelance work for a week. I have an S-Corporation and pay corporate taxes on a quarterly basis, so I don’t know if I’ll be given a W9. I just hope Fiverr doesn’t take social security taxes, medicare, and federal taxes, every time I make a withdrawal. I’m fine showing my income, but since this isn’t a full-time job, I expect to be treated like a freelancer.
  24. You said it perfectly! My order requirements are a bit more strong because it forces buyers to think about what they are giving me. It’s a total team effort and buyers have to take some responsibility for the outcome of the project too. I would rather have fewer buyers who I can really pay attention too, than 20 orders in my queue. The quality of your work and your buyers who love your work, will in time, be a repeat-business machine! That is what all business owners want… 80% of your sales come from 20% of your buyers. Ads will only get you poised in the right spot but you better be ready to serve as a professional. I have changed my mind on the ads. At first it seemed like things were changing on the first two pages. But like always, I was just patient and used my down time to improve my portfolio, gigs and demo. I am actually grateful for those few weeks. I see an increase in new and great buyers. So somehow they are still finding me. I already know sellers who are opting out of the Ad program after paying for ads because the results are not as organic. I am sure it’s paying off for others. I am just going to stay positive and hope the ads are successful. My TRS is golden and I appreciate Fiverr in so many ways. I was the type of child who actually had to do chores to get allowance money. Nothing is given to you on Fiverr, you have to earn it… not just by numbers and stats but there is a magical mix of buyer love and appreciation, respect for the customer service team, an inward look at yourself and answering your inquiries in the middle of the night. You build it and they will find you. I used to have 5 to 15 in my queue and always rushing since I had to deliver in 3 days or less. Then 4 or 5 days later, I would get revision requests. Sometimes I was so impatient I would simply refund an order, or refuse to revise, get a bad review, then write an insulting response. It was a different Fiverr, the Wild West era. Now when you create brand names, unless you get those buyers to order your other gigs. You should feel lucky at having the opportunity to participate in this program, it’s not available to me. True, it’s the ultimate meritocracy, and it’s so easy to work here. Companies like Walmart demand we pass an employer assessment tests, and those aren’t always easy to pass, at least not for me.
