  1. All you can do is improve your gigs as much as possible and hope for the best. Some create or buy a new gig picture, or change prices, or update their descriptions. I use Promoted Gig when available, it's not always available. Fiverr acts like a deity, they decide when your gigs are promotable or not without any explanation, even when you're paying $19 a month for SellerPlus. I cancelled SellerPlus for that reason. Maybe you should try it out, you will get insights about keywords and other data, but results aren't guaranteed. I miss the old Fiverr, the one where charging $5 meant getting 10 to 20 orders a day. Fiverr has changed.
  2. My impressions came crashing down after Promoted Gigs kicked me out. Ironically, after quitting SellerPlus, Promoted Gigs welcomed me back, and now my 512 in the past 7 days. This is still very little compared to the 3,000 impressions I used to get. Thank you for your comment. Facebook won't allow me to advertise my gigs unless I use a landing page, I can't advertise directly to Fiverr dot com / my username.
  3. Thank you, but I don't want my experience to stop you from pursuing it. You should. If it doesn't work out, you can always end the membership.
  4. Don't understand how the buyer disappeared. If a buyer doesn't respond, I just click "deliver now" and deliver what I have. Still, your SM is wonderful. That's certainly worth the $19 you're paying.
  5. I was never given a Success Manager. You're lucky. What has your SM done for you?
  6. I joined Seller Plus for $19 a month thinking it would drive me a ton of business. I was hoping that with advanced analytics and keyword suggestions, I would make more money. Instead, after two refunds thanks to impossible to please buyers, I was no longer allowed to use Promoted Gigs, have only made $40 this month, and don't see the value in paying $19 anymore. What good is 7-day clearance if you're not making sales? What is your experience with Seller Plus? Did it work for you? Did it not?
  7. It's a very exclusive club. First I was invited to RSVP, not even to join, but to let them know I was interested in joining. A few days ago, I joined! If my earnings and orders increase, I will continue to be a member. Fiverr keeps changing, and I've learned to change with Fiverr.
  8. I was finally invited to join, and I accepted. The insights are amazing, you see what keywords people are using to find your gig, you also have access to popular keywords in every category. 7-day payment clearance is also very appealing, it's what Top Rated Sellers enjoy! SellerPlus costs $19/month right now. I think it's worth it.
  9. Was the work completed? It seems to me your client kept demanding revisions. It's not enough to click "deliver now," your client has to accept the delivery, or three days must pass for the order to be completed automatically. Next time, don't make 10 revisions, you're wasting too much time and not getting paid for it. I limit myself to one revision, two at most if I like my client.
  10. Maybe he hired someone else. I actually got a message from someone who hired someone else, but wants to hire me if it doesn't work out. I said that was perfectly fine. Don't fear your competitors. I saw your gigs, none of them relate to freelancing in Japanese.
  11. I was selling at $30 with promoted gigs, was getting some orders but not enough. Then lowered my price to $20 and got a bunch of orders, like one or two every other day. Then I raised it back to $30, and a customer told me "I only have $25," so I gave him a custom offer for $25. So today, I lowered my gig price to $25. To me the goal is making as much money as possible. If I sell at $50 and get two orders, that's $100. If I sell at $20 or $25, and make $300 in a month, that's a lot better. If wish I could make $800 by selling at $5 or $10, but Fiverr no longer works that way.
  12. I remember those days, it was pre-level system, pre-star system. The "Wild West" era of Fiverr. But I also remember TRS's were selected by the editors. Then again, that's just my experience, maybe others have a different experience. Thanks for your advice.
  13. I thought it always was. Otherwise, every level 2 would rise to TRS if his statis meet the minimum requirements. Maybe that's a good question for your SM. I applied to Seller Plus. I made $176 in June, I figure I need all the help I can get.
  14. That wasn't my experience, and I was a TRS many years ago. I was manually selected. Thanks for sharing the seller plus. I don't know if generating enough money to justify $29 a month. My last success manager, many years ago, didn't do anything for me. Didn't give me keyword tags, price points, or any advice whatsoever. He just said hello, I asked a few questions, he gave me very generic answers and I gave up on him. Can you quit seller plus if it doesn't work out?
  15. Absolutely not. You can thank him, you can tell him to order again, but you can’t even suggest they give you a rating. You can tell them that tips are appreciated, although I don’t do that anymore, buyers have to pay a fee to tip
  16. How did you get a success manager? Did you write CS or did they find you? I had an SM many years ago, when I was a TRS. Do you pay $19 a month for your SM?
  17. I think Seller Plus is only available for Top Rated Sellers. I agree with your success manager, I don't offer 24-hour delivery because Fiverr isn't a full-time job for me.
  18. Love the Carthage reference. I admit some of my reviews were petty, I once complained that an author kept using the imperial and metric system which made his sentences much longer than they needed to be. I attacked a fiction author because his main character had too many girlfriends, which wasn't necessary in a sci-fi book about an interstellar soldier that never dies (Undying Mercenaries series). My other mistake was getting into arguments with other reviewers. Suffice to say, Amazon muzzled me, yet every time I finish a book on Kindle, they ask me to review it! I'm in favor of cultural appropriation when you make something different. Fusion cuisine is very popular nowadays. "Authentic" is overrated.
  19. When I wrote brand names, the gig that got me a lot of negative reviews, yet made me over $25,000, I always warned people in the gig description that my gig was subjective and satisfaction was not guaranteed. I never claimed to be the best, I told people I would only provide a brainstorming. So whenever I hit the nail in the head, I got 5 stars, whenever I didn't, I got less stars. If my client came up with his own idea thanks to my efforts, I might get 5 stars. You can set expectations anyway you like, but that won't protect you when dealing with a difficult buyer. The only protection is a pre-delivery. I once had a guy that told me he wanted to give me 1-star, and he kept rejecting the refund request from me. Eventually he accepted. One of my tactics when dealing with a bad review, was responding with the brand names I created. Let the community judge my work, and see for themselves if my buyer was right or wrong. Alas, this is impossible to do for other sellers. Graphic designers can't respond with an image.
  20. Wouldn't your order be marked late and thus the buyer is allowed to cancel with a click? I think sellers should have access to private feedback, maybe an e-mail from Fiverr. How can we improve without that information? Amazon banned me from leaving reviews, even for products I purchased and kept. Other readers didn't like my reviews, they kept reporting me. Book readers are too protective of their favorite authors. This doesn't help buyers make educated choices.
  21. Actually delivering gives them the opportunity to give you a bad review. I want to avoid that If possible. I don’t like long delivery notes, don’t think it’s my job to explain how the sausage is made. I will if they ask.
  22. I just deliver the order, sometimes buyers see the delivery email from Fiverr as opposed to pre-delivery messages. Weird how that is.
  23. I'll fight a little, but I'm done with the crazy fights I used to have in the past. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses, report and block the buyer. Fiverr has been a joy since I stopped writing brand names. My stats are perfect in every area now. I do miss it, sometimes, and even get messages from old clients that want me to help them, but it's not worth the aggravation.
  24. What if the buyer keeps demanding a revision? What if CS closes the order for you? I agree that we should get paid for the work we do, but a delivery won't close until the buyer issues a review or 3 days go by. A buyer can keep using the modification button, it costs them nothing but time. Artists can protect themselves with watermarks, but writers have no such luck. That's why I don't see myself as a business. A business sets the rules, on Fiverr, they set the rules. What I can control is what I do and for how much.
  25. Sometimes you can make your response a little more personal, but for the most part, quick responses work really well.
