  1. First of all, I can't understand how it's possible order to be canceled months after it is completed?! In the past I had several such cases. And today once again. 2 orders, which were completed one month ago, were canceled. I can't understand why Fiverr allows this to happen. What kind of bank should it be, to keep funds pending for more than one month? Anyway... in the past, there wasn't any possible way to get refund. Cancellation even was affecting on our rating. But from what I saw today, after completed orders were cancelled, I got Fiverr notification saying "You were compensated for your cancelled order". I checked earnings section and above the "Cancelled Payment Refunded to Buyer" there's "Cleared Funds Reversed to Pending", which I see for the first time. It seems that cancelled orders are now again placed in the "Funds Pending Clearance" category. I'm glad that Fiverr finally figured this out and they're actually compensating for completed - but cancelled orders. But, once again... HOW this can even happen?! Can someone please explain to me? Order is completed one month ago and today was cancelled and funds were returned to the buyer?!?!?! Oh... and it seems that buyer doesn't exist anymore on Fiverr. Really strange.

  6. But he asked а specific question? What does it have to do with the Fiverr's algorithm? What's your goal? To make as much as possible comments on this Forum? That's not the point?! Why you even write something, if you CAN'T answer the question specifically? Basically the algorithm is : the more likes and views you get on your GIG's the more your impressions will go up!
  7. I never only talk, without any facts. The main fact is that I'm on Fiverr for more than 6 years now. During this period yes, there were ups and downs and not always we'll have constantly orders. That's all right. What I've mentioned is based on the experience from the past 6 years. When I say NEVER EVER, I really mean, NEVER EVER had such order deficit. It's not only about the last year, it's in general. As for the maintenance... it happens really often actually. And unfortunately NOT all users experience that. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's because sometimes there's something going on only on particular GIG categories and not all of us have GIGs in the same category. Here's an example. 2 weeks ago, my friend called me and asked, I'm I able to use the Fiverr platform via Browser or APP. I checked and everything was fine. He said, I can't use it for 5 hours now and he had maintenance notification. How do you know if the maintenance is not affecting on the search algorithm? Do you work in Fiverr? Are you familiar with all of the procedure? I guess no... If they're doing some rearrangements to the categories, I bet there will be some effects on the searching algorithm. Like year and a half ago, when they reorganized some of the GIG's categories and it was a real mess. Not having orders in weeks, until everything got back to normal. So I really, really don't appreciate such comments, just to find something to talk about and saying that maybe some other sellers have better GIGs and that's why sales went down. No. Something is happening. The same friend who asked me about the Fiverr maintenance, is facing the same problem. Not having neither ONE order in weeks! He have even more GIGs than me. He had constantly orders. That's why I posted this topic here, to hear experiences and to exchange opinions with other sellers. I really would love to hear some constructive thinking, exchanging experiences, not only to make ourselves smart ones. I'm more than 6 years on Fiverr, had more than 2500 orders. I know what exactly and when to expect from Fiverr. Except this right now what's going on. For example, if you block buyer, you'll be held back for a while, even thought there's nowhere explanation about this. But the experience have show exactly how this "algorithm" works.
  8. Hi guys. I'm opening this thread because I'm really concerned what's going on with Fiverr. Last year during the Covid lock downs I thought there will be huge sales reduction, but I was wrong. Everything was fine. But this year it happened what I was expecting to happen last year. In the past 3 months sales went down even to -90%, which is devastating. From 30 to 50 orders a month, I came to barely 5-7 orders a month. And it's not just me. I've been talking to my friends and colleagues who are experiencing the same thing. It's really strange. I also know that Fiverr platform constantly have some maintenance, which affect on the searching algorithm and sometimes sales can go down. But what's really happening? Why sales are reduced so much? Any experiences to share? Any thoughts? How are your sales going?
  9. Yep, it happened once again. I’m pretty sure Fiverr’s algorithm is taking blocking into consideration. 100%! This month started pretty well, with orders almost every day. Than we had buyer who was constantly asking for revision by asking us to deliver the video on their e-mail, which is against TOS. It was new buyer, so he didn’t know how delivery was working. We’ve explained to him 10 times. It was really frustrating. He ordered Basic GIG and we’ve suggested if he wants, he can update his GIG by placing additional extra, depending on his needs. He said, I don’t need. Finally the order was completed. After 3 days, he contacted again, asking to add his web address to his video. We’ve explained that GIG was completed and because of that we don’t keep project files longer than 3 days. So we needed to make it once again. Plus, we’ve offered to update his order at the first place. So, he started to treating that he’ll ask his bank to cancel the invoice of the order. And that just filled up the glass all the way and we’ve blocked him. 4-5 days since then, no more orders! 🙂 So, I’m pretty sure, 100% that Fiverr’s algorithm is taking blocking into consideration.
  10. I can’t believe there’s still nobody commenting about this issue! I mean, it’s really issue. Why?! Well… at the beginning having 2-3 incomplete orders it wasn’t a big deal, but with the time, many of us have 10-20 incomplete orders. Some even hundreds of them :roll_eyes: Lots of them are made by beginner buyers, who still don’t know how to combine extras with the GIG and just place and place new orders. Lots of times, I had 3 orders at the same time, but ONLY one activated by submitting needed requirements. And with the time, having bunch of incomplete orders in the dashboard is really frustrating and confusing. Very often we mix incomplete GIGs with ACTIVE GIGs… and sometimes can be real issue. I still CAN’T understand, why Fiverr is taking for soooo long, to do something about this issue. I guess funds are reserved, but never paid to Fiverr at the first place if order is not activated. I came to other freelancer platforms where they have figured this out with pre-made offers. If order is idle for 2 week, automatically it’s canceled, without any negative effects on the sellers. I have incomplete orders, where buyers were last active 3 YEARS AGO! Hah! That order would never be activated baby 😃 Once again… They MUST find some kind of solution for this situation. Let it be… one, two… even three months… if order is INACTIVE, automatically to be canceled WITHOUT effecting on sellers rating. Once again… WHY Fiverr is not doing anything about this issue for so long?! Oh, and if someone says, just contact CS and they’ll take care of it… are you sure?! Because I did… and every single time they’re saying that it can’t be done anything about that and NO MATTER every cancellation AFFECT on the rating. And at the end, we, sellers are those who are going to pay that price from negligence of the buyers. It’s just no fair. It’s really frustrating.

  13. Have you had any luck from CS? I’ve asked them once and right away it affected on our rating. I think Fiverr should come with some kind of rule for that… for example, if INCOMPLETE order is idle for more than one month, two or three months, after that automatically to be removed without affecting on our rating.   15. Also very well said. We always check buyers history reviews before starting the order to know with whom we’re dealing. He had few years on Fiverr and all ratings were 5. But after us, he got few more 1 star reviews 😃 That’s obvious clue what kind of buyer is… OR, maybe someone else took over that profile. We’ve also pointed this to support, only said, we’ll have this buyer on our mind… yeah right. Probably he’ll continue blackmailing other sellers on Fiverr…
  16. Very well said! You know, this is first time in almost 6 years we had such experience… and we’ve got pretty stubborn. We did awesome job… but we were really foolish to believe that support would help us. Obvious blackmailing, even operator confirmed and apologized for that and after that saying, there’s nothing we can do, there’s no violation in our terms and conditions. Really frustrating. But also… they’ve changed the rules about canceling… before if order was canceled with mutual agreement everything would be fine. But now it’s also affecting on our rating. It seems that the rules they’re making are getting rougher and rougher to sellers only 😦
  17. Everything is well explained in the GIG description, right? Buyer is sending random files, asking things that we don’t even offer in our GIG. Asking for right files, he ignores our messages, making revisions 5-6 times, because he don’t know what he wants… isn’t it enough reasons to block someone, after mentioning that he’ll be back with more orders? 😃
  18. So we had such experience this month. Some buyer from ****** ordered our GIG. He needed something additional and placed additional extra. He started right away to be rude saying we’ve ripped him off and that the additional extra was for nothing. As always, we tried to keep our buyer calm and offered him compensation to his additional extra, EVEN FULL ANOTHER GIG! For free! Because, at the end, pleased and satisfied buyer will always come back. He refused. He asked for 5 ADDITIONAL FULL GIGs! And said if you don’t like, cancel the order. We were in shock! Such impudent behavior! We explained that it would not happen! After that he said, OK, I’ll go to 3 full GIGs. In that point we didn’t know what to do. From one side, we were worried about our rating, but from other side, HOW CAN YOU TRUST someone, that after getting 3 additional FREE GIGs, will keep his word. We’ve contacted support, which for the first time was so late, 3 days to be exact! In that time order finished. So what we did? We actually remade his whole GIG, offering something that never in few years delivered to no one. He kept canceling the order, saying that our GIG is overrated, it’s nothing, that we do monotonous task, only replacing logo and to stop di**ing around! 😮 What a nightmare! So we’ve redelivered his order for about 4-5 times and he keep canceling asking for additional full GIGs. Eventually, at the end he accepted the order and he gave us 1 star rating! What?! 😮 Such a nightmare! After order was completed, finally we’ve been contacted from the support. We’ve explained the situation and the operator was really kind, understanding the situation and apologizing for having such experience. We’ve asked for the rating to be removed. Said that he sent request to the relevant team and should inform us quickly. We finally heard from him after 6 DAYS! 😮 6 days guys! Never, ever support was so slow. If they’ve acted much faster, while the order was ON, this wouldn’t happened. And we’ve got such horrible news. Said that they’re really sorry, but they can’t to anything about that, because leaving review was buyer right and didn’t break their terms and conditions. And we’ve asked… so you’re actually supporting and approving buyers to blackmail sellers on Fiverr? Is BLACKMAILING NOT against terms and conditions? We were really fools to believe that we’ll get any help and understanding from support, when it’s obviously they always support buyers more. What more buyer should do than blackmailing and insulting us, to be considered AS breaking the terms and conditions? It was so disappointing experience. The crucial part in all of this situation is that buyer gave us such horrible review not because he wasn’t pleased with his order, which we offered to give him additional extra or even full new GIG, and at the end delivered him order that never before delivered to no one before, just to please him, but he gave us such horrible review because HE DIDN’T got any additional GIGs for free! That’s the most painful! The review wasn’t relevant! From support confirmed this as well, but yet, they didn’t do nothing about that. What’s worrying us is that was really symptomatic that support contacted us after 3 days and got answer after 6 days. It seems (maybe it’s stupid to say, but it seems like) the buyer had some connections in support. Now, the main questions is… WHY there’s no guaranteed protection for us - sellers in such situations? What’s next? What we need to do? To accept every blackmailing like it’s normal part of our job? Really, really disappointing guys… Maybe they need to update their terms and conditions, where clearly will be said, that no blackmail will be tolerated.

We don’t use that block button very often, but when we have really, really painful experience with some of the buyers, which mention that “we’ll come back” (as if we need such buyers 😄 ) we block them. BUT, what’s really symptomatic is that one - two days after blocking buyer, SALES GOES DOWN! Yes, it can be coincidence, but it happened too often. Especially this month, when statistics of our GIG’s were surprisingly HIGH and we had lots of orders… until we blocked one buyer. That’s it! 5 days without neither one order. Only one message from buyers and all of the statistics of our GIGs went down. It happened way too often after blocking buyers sales to go down, so we doubt that it’s coincidence. What do you think? Have anyone else had such experience? If what we’re saying it’s true, than what’s the purpose to exist such option? 😦
  20. No, unfortunately Fiverr Support would not help you. Fiverr Support CAN remove this orders, but it will affect on your rating. I’ve also done that maybe an year ago, even without seeing this post and they’ve removed one of the incompleted orders… and yes it affected on the rating. After that I’ve asked for couple more and the answer was, it will affect on the rating and they CAN’T do anything about that, because that’s how the system works. And if you look at it like that… it’s not our fault at all, but yet, it will affect on our rating. Why? For what? That’s really unfair… Right now I have 6 INCOMPLETE orders for $165… and some of them are even older than one year. It’s really weird… it seems that we have to have this orders, like… forever. I think Fiverr should come with some kind of rule for that… for example, if INCOMPLETE order is idle for more than one month, two or three months, after that automatically to be removed without affecting on our rating. Because it’s obvious that if one INCOMPLETE GIG is not completed in time period of three months… it would NEVER be completed. I really think FIverr should consider this kind of option. It would be really easier for sellers. Many new buyers who are not yet familiar with Fiverr’s rules, they’re just placing orders without knowing that those orders will stay INCOMPLETE forever.
