  1. One of the most common questions posted on the Fiverr Forum I’ve noticed in the past few weeks I have been active on the Forum pages is one that asks something about a drop in Gig impressions and clicks. Here is a shortlist of probable reasons for that. Hopefully, this post will clear up some of the confusion newbies are experiencing. 1 - The Increase Of New Members To Fiverr I have noticed a huge increase in the number of posts that start with the words, “I am new to Fiverr…” There is a great deal of interest in this freelancing platform from all over the world. It seems to attract dozens of new members every hour or two. This will have a negative impact on your Gig impressions and clicks simply due to the math. This is what I mean by that. If (an example I’m making up) you were one of 100 Sellers who provided a Gig on video editing a few months ago and saw a fair deal of impressions and clicks, that made sense. Now, with so many newbies on Fiverr, you may be one in 10,000 Sellers with the same Gig. That has increased your competition by a huge amount and as a result, your impressions and clicks are going to logically drop. 2 - Gig Rotation Fiverr has (apparently) implemented a process that is known on the Forum as Gig Rotation. What this means is that if you have seen your Gig listed on Page 1 for your Gig category/keywords, it probably isn’t there anymore. Fiverr has chosen to “rotate” Gigs to make it fair to all Sellers to get Page 1 exposure. As to what tips and tricks you have to use to activate the rotation process, it’s unknown. That’s a good thing because keeping it unknown ensures that it remains fair for everyone. 3 - Your Gig Looks Tired And Dull It happens. With so much extra competition out there in recent months, you can bet that some of the new Sellers have Gig descriptions that are better than yours. They may even have Gig photos and videos that are better than yours. All this means is that with many new Fiverr members using flashy, attractive visuals, some of the impressions and clicks you are used to getting are going somewhere else. You can try to compete by updating your Gig details on a regular basis (I do this) as that will keep your Gigs looking fresh and new. It also doesn’t hurt to check out what your competitors are doing and try to be better with your presentation. There are other reasons why your impressions and clicks may be dropping from what you are used to seeing, but these are very likely the main reasons. Other Fiverr members will add to this list and hopefully everyone sees enough business in 2021 to keep busy and not worry about stats so much.

  10. This is only a part of the business strategy. In Fiverr, there are lots of buyers from different levels. Few clients look for cheap price services to match their budget, some go with high prices as needed for reliability, quality, and trust. As an individual, so many of us can't understand the term of the levels of the buyer. I can understand that some people struggle hard to get started in Fiverr and most of them choose cheap pricing to get started with a common thought of increasing the chances to get orders. But, I also see that a large number of new sellers with cheap pricing have intermediate levels of skills actually. Sometimes we are in confusion by watching cheap pricing from a very well reputed seller! But the actual scenario is different. To establish your business and grow to the next level, you should know the audience, customers, buyers of the business world. There are different levels of buyers/businesses in the business world. And each buyer/business have their own budget, own requirements and own choice, etc. If I label them based on the budget, there are a couple of levels. So each price has its own audience, buyers, and competitors. So, when you set your gig price at $5, a buyer from a level over $50, will not show interest to take your service usually. Only the buyers from the $5~$20 level will reach you to meet their budget or save some money. Also, once you change your service price, the buyer level group will be changed, as well as the competitor will be changed too. Hence, if you have a great strategy of business, skills, and results, you don't have to be worried to see the changes at the very beginning stage after the changes. If you think, what will be the best way to set your gig price, I will ask you to follow this: Know your skill level and quality. Target your business/buyer level. Match your gig image, description, and etc. related to your price. If you want to increase the gig price to a different level, i.e. $10 to $50, $100 or above, I will ask you to follow this: Is your gig match your skills, work quality, support? A soft reminder, once you change your service price, the buyer level will be changed, as well as the competitor will be changed too. Hence, if you don't have a great strategy of business, skills, and results, you may fail to survive or grow smoothly. Also, remember that the challenge of the changes in the level of buyers and competitors is dynamic. Where Challenge difficulties are higher for cheap pricing and fewer for high pricing services. In real practice, so many increase gig price to receive less order to avoid overbooking. I think, few of the established individuals, especially agencies, follow the strategy. They focus on their targeted level, offer to price like that way. It's nothing bad. Thank you. Seven_Sign

  18. YES! YOU CAN. But you shouldn't, When your days are green on Fiverr and you're receiving orders and requests from buyers, you must restraint yourself updating your gig in such days, you should also not limit your orders to very less, like I am the guy who is alone working and I have a limit set to 5 orders only, If you're a rising seller you shouldn't do it. Many times it happened in the past that sellers who update their gigs often disappear from search result which results in downfall in Impressions and Orders, secondly updating titles and images may cause your old buyers feel disconnected from the seller once they bought. Updating prices frequently can result in loss of repeat buyers, remember, repeat business is the backbone of Fiverr, and I joined Fiverr back in 2012 since then I am listening this, and in my dry days, my old buyers came to rescue, they not only uplift the position of my gig but also helped me to generate income. Updates are only required when they are needed, Get some best possible pictures for your gig image, write a nice description with keywords and double check for grammar and spellings. Add atleast 10 essential FAQs that will clear your buyer's mind about their questions regarding your Gig. Choose a good price, not too high and not too low ofcourse. Experiments are good in your dry days, meaning when you're not getting orders atleast from a month.

  20. Ok, so you're ready to set up a new gig on Fiverr. You want your gig description to sound smart and intelligent! So you put in a couple of buzzwords and some marketing jargon to impress your buyers. But hold on! You might be doing a mistake! First, here's what I mean by marketing jargon and buzzwords: They are pointless fancy-sounding fillers meant to replace real meaning. You think it sounds smart, but you're alianating your buyer when using this top-down style of communication. Here's an example from a Fiverr gig I came across earlier today: "I utilize creativity-driven mindfullness to present upstanding brands by connecting emotional stories with driven clients." It sounds like something taken straight from a bad "about us" page written by some pompous dude in a rental suit. And it's completely meaningless. After reading that sentence, I still don't know what the seller does. I know he's trying to impress me with fancy words, sure, but frankly, I'm just as confused as I was before reading it. He could have just written "I use top-down buzzwords to sound smarter than you. That way, you'll think you need my stuff, and pay me more than it's worth for it". So let this post be a clear narrative for amitious sellers looking to build consumer-driven actions in a game-changing world of global influencers leading the differentiation by challenging your core business strategy. Or in other words: Learn from this if you want to be a successful seller. Buzzwords ain't cool, man. (Ok, so you can use them, SPARINGLY! But if you want to be clear in your business communication, stop talking down to people, because you might end up alienating your buyers instead of attracting them.) 25. Hi, No. Under no circumstance should you share your contact information on Fiverr, unless it's needed to sharing logins and so on. If that's needed it must be done inside the order. In most cases, this is not needed, and you can communicate just fine using the chat here on Fiverr. If you share your info you risk big problems. Don't do it. If your buyer is difficult, just explain that this is the terms on Fiverr. I quote: To protect our users' privacy, user identities are kept anonymous. Requesting or providing Email addresses, s***e/IM usernames, telephone numbers or any other personal contact details to communicate outside of Fiverr in order to circumvent or abuse the Fiverr messaging system or Fiverr platform is not permitted. https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service?source=footer

  32. Today I have successfully completed 300 orders after joining this platform science May 2020. During this long period of time I have learned a lot of lesson, hopefully I can use it in the future. It took almost one month to get my first order and things are getting better. During the hard situation of this pandemic situation it was a great source of extra income. I would like to thank all my buyers, friends, family member and well wishers for this. Without all of them it will not be possible. For the newcomers I would like to share my personal experience. 1. Before joining this platform please gain proper knowledge. You don't need to be master of all but know at least one subject very well (before joining this platform). 2. Fiverr is not a easy money making platform. So don't think that you can make millions within a short period of time. 3. Have proper idea about keyword research, image seo, gig ranking, tags etc (before joining this platform & don't copy other's gig). 4. Be humble and create good communication with your buyer. 5, Never hesitate to learn new things. 6. Please be patient and wait for good time. Thanks and best wishes for all

  33. It hurts to be cheated somewhere. The way to survive is to pay attention to what you have learned from it. Hate him. First of all, I would like to tell you not to listen to anyone's sweet words. Nowadays, it is very difficult to find trustworthy people, especially in the virtual world. And if a person doesn't see good behavior at first, then if he sees good side first, then of course he has bad side too, so consider his bad side and how bad it is, then believe him.

  36. While I totally agree that it's important to let people know the buyer is prone to making you double the work I do think you could advocate for yourself a little better - (I say that but I had the exact thing happen two days ago and I lost 30 bucks not 3!) The reason I'm saying this is because if the buyer gets mad at you, they have the right in the sense that you never once said "hey, I don't do full rewrites and you never told me to write in this format". If you did so - and then rated them fairly, that would seem like a more complete story (just in case). You rating them low out of the blue can seem petty. But in the end it all depends on the review you leave. If you can leave one that's not emotional - but matter of fact and shows you're right you're probably doing a favour for other writers. But... Yeah. We are the service providers here and we need to say 'oi that's not a revision'. (That being said the buyer's tone was kind of off so I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't get the best review either.)

  37. A few weeks ago, I hit a major milestone - I have completed over 1000 orders on Fiverr. However, not all 1000+ have rated their order, so I have about 700 star reviews currently. I would like to include in my gig description that "I have completed over 1000 orders on Fiverr, to date". This is accurate and can be validated by Fiverr staff. However, I wanted to ensure this does not violate the ToS in any way. I read the ToS, but in abundance of caution, wanted to ensure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks in advance!

  43. In my experience, PayPal is a little more expensive for withdrawals. But, I still use them as I have a verified business PayPal and everything is instant and there is no messing around. With Payoneer, I've had some poor experiences. So, I prefer to pay a little more and use the service I find most reliable.

  45. I've made use of promoted Gigs since I've been eligible to do so, apart from when I'm overbooked or already have lots of pending orders to complete. They are kinda' expensive, especially when you take into consideration that Fiverr takes it's 20% fee from all of your orders anyway, and then either PayPal or Payoneer will charge a withdrawal fee. But non the less, from my analytics of my promoted gigs, I'm roughly generating $250 of order revenue for every $20 I spend on Gig promotion, which is a decent return on investment. Plus if you generate a regular, repeat buyer, for paying for just the one click you could potentially receive many orders. I feel like I would earn much more for what I spend, but promoting the Gig also attracts many buyers who I'm not interesting in working with due to them trying to haggle, or me seeing too many red flags to want to partner with. So if they click your link and message you but no order is made, you still have to pay for the click. Then again, I feel like most of the people who are eligible for promoted Gigs are already doing many of the right things that will make their Gigs naturally rank highly amongst search results. So, meh. Are they worth it? I'm personally not too sure.
