  4. So I've been doing this Fiverr thing for about a year now (not full time, just as a little side hustle). Here's three things I learnt that will help you win Fiverr! Posting on the forum constantly will do exactly diddly squat to help your growth on Fiverr. It just ruins the forum SO STOP IT Being online 24/7 will do nothing but make you hallucinate Be patient. If you're in a popular niche (writing, voice over, logos, web dev) it might take a while to get your first order, wait it out or make your gig more specific so that you aren't competing with everyone and his pet cat.

  8. Gig rank is based on several metrics. The most important one is customer satisfaction. If your buyers aren't happy, they will let Fiverr know in the hidden feedback after an order. So make sure to always give your buyers the best possible service. Beyond that, gigs are rotated on a regular basis. Your position is not permanent. Make sure your gigs are optimized for search, do a great job of making your buyers happy, and you'll rank higher. I see that you have no reviews, so you probably haven't gotten off to a good start. That's probably because you had no business plan, strategy and did zero research before you started your gigs. Starting a business takes time, effort and investment. You can't just make some gigs and expect to "rank".

  10. You are advertising for proofreading services but your gig descriptions and bio are riddled with typos and grammar problems. You're trying to sell a skill you don't have, and your buyers can see that. That is why you are not at the top of the results. Marketing your gig, trying to keyword optimize - those might get people to look at your gig, but they aren't going to buy it because you are not very good at it yet. You need to pick a skill - definitely not proofreading or editing - and get better at it than all your competition. Find something you love to do so much that you can spend all day doing it until you are better than anyone else. OR find a skill that is hard to learn but once you learn it not many others know it, so people will want to pay you.

  11. That's not how Fiverr works. Sellers do not gain promotions just because they sit around "active" on Fiverr, waiting for random buyers to hire them. Sellers advance on this site by being great sellers, who deliver top-quality work, to the target customers who need those services.

  12. Because no one will buy without knowing what they are buying, including yourself. even if you didn’t work for clients yet you can create your own projects and showcase them as your examples.

  18. The Most Important Thing Which Most of the Sellers Ignores A common mistake done by new sellers is publishing a gig without proper description. Today I will talk about some of the mistakes and will try tell about what should you do. You see, if you want to sell something then you have to describe your product specialty to the customer. You have to make your customer understand that why your product is special in the market. Then he will convinced to buy your product. Exact same theory is applicable for your Fiverr gig. Buyer have to find something special in your gig description then he will convinced. Now, I am telling about some common mistakes the seller does with the gig: Doing copy/paste of someone else's gig description. Not introduce the service properly. This means lack of proper detail about your service. Don't offering special offer which is unique if you compare it with other gigs on your category. Doing grammatical mistakes. Many others are done by the new sellers. But these are some common mistakes. If you want to prepare a professional gig then you must avoid these mistakes. Here are some important things you must include on your gig description if you want to make it professional: Research other sellers gigs and get an idea on your mind. Plan about what you will include on your description and what will you avoid. Then write a rough sketch on a paper and revise it again and again. If you found any mistake make the correction. And while it's final then write the final one on your gig description. Include some special offers which aren't on other's gig description. For example: give 10 days after sales service, give special offer based on your service e.t.c. Try to write your service areas properly. I mean for example: I work as a web uiux designer. I have included my designing tool names, My delivery files details, My portfolio site link e.t.c. Do the same related your service. To avoid grammatical mistakes use Grammarly or similar extentions help. Use several columns to write your descriptions so that it don't look noisy. Hope my writings will help you a little bit. If you follow these words while writing your gig description hope your description will look professional. If you have any question please feel free to ask me on comment section. I will be happy to answer you! Next time I will try to talk about the pricing of the gig for the new sellers. Thanks a lot for your time! Tanim Ahamed UIUX Designer

  25. No seller is entitled to have his/her gigs at the top of search results. It is normal for gig to move around, and be seen in different places, by different people. How do you know this? Did you look through thousands of pages of search results? Then, perhaps you need to improve your gigs, and make them more appealing to your target customers. It is unwise to expect the buyer request section to be your primary source of orders. Go where your target customers are located, and convince them to hire you.

  26. I've checked your profile - you say you're trained in your field. Why not show the files you practiced on? If you've never done anything (not just for work but for practice either) competition is going to be tough. You are in a pretty crowded niche so many people are more experienced than you are (and most buyers will seek them out.)

  29. Ok, so you're ready to set up a new gig on Fiverr. You want your gig description to sound smart and intelligent! So you put in a couple of buzzwords and some marketing jargon to impress your buyers. But hold on! You might be doing a mistake! First, here's what I mean by marketing jargon and buzzwords: They are pointless fancy-sounding fillers meant to replace real meaning. You think it sounds smart, but you're alianating your buyer when using this top-down style of communication. Here's an example from a Fiverr gig I came across earlier today: "I utilize creativity-driven mindfullness to present upstanding brands by connecting emotional stories with driven clients." It sounds like something taken straight from a bad "about us" page written by some pompous dude in a rental suit. And it's completely meaningless. After reading that sentence, I still don't know what the seller does. I know he's trying to impress me with fancy words, sure, but frankly, I'm just as confused as I was before reading it. He could have just written "I use top-down buzzwords to sound smarter than you. That way, you'll think you need my stuff, and pay me more than it's worth for it". So let this post be a clear narrative for amitious sellers looking to build consumer-driven actions in a game-changing world of global influencers leading the differentiation by challenging your core business strategy. Or in other words: Learn from this if you want to be a successful seller. Buzzwords ain't cool, man. (Ok, so you can use them, SPARINGLY! But if you want to be clear in your business communication, stop talking down to people, because you might end up alienating your buyers instead of attracting them.) 30. Whenever I see sellers complain about the 14 day clearance period for revenue on Fiverr, I wonder why they haven't made themselves a buffer. As a freelancer, making sure you have a buffer is crucial. if you think the 14 day wait is "too long", you're doing something wrong. In most business transactions, a net 15, 30 or even 90 (!) is normal. In other words, if I do a job today, I might not get paid for 30 days. I don't accept net 90 clients, since I find that to be disrespectful, but net 15 or 30? Sure. That's the norm. You do the work now, the client pays you in a few weeks. Businesses operate, in large part, on credit. It's just how the system works. Knowing that, you have to plan for it. Ideally, you should have enough money in your account to keep yourself afloat for six months or more. I realize this isn't realistic for most freelancers on Fiverr. But two weeks? If you can't manage that, you need to spend some of that revenue on a self-help book about personal finances. The revenue "pending clearance" right now, should be the money you're planning on spending two weeks from now. Or longer, if you can. If you need the money now, that's because you didn't plan well. That means you gotta save. For the first couple of months as a freelancer, I tried setting aside as much as possible. I still do. So should you. Take back control by planning ahead.

  35. If you're struggling with a low conversion rate (people click but don't buy) you have to look at why. Is your gig description good enough? Do you have a great gig video that tells the buyer exactly why they should pick you and what makes you different from the thousands of other sellers in your category? Do you have a great value proposition? (A value offer is a well-thought-out service that adds to the value of your gig, helping you to beat the competition, because the buyer will see you as the best option). You have to stand out from all the other sellers on the platform; otherwise, you're just another new seller, among thousands of other new sellers trying to compete. Differentiate yourself. That's how you land sales. Here are a few ways to improve the conversion rate of your gig that you can use right now: A/B-testing: precisely what it sounds like. Test which gig title and description work best for you. You can also test different thumbnails and gig videos to see which one converts better. Test one thing at a time; otherwise, you won't know what made the difference. Have a compelling value proposition: Make sure the buyer knows right away why they should buy from you and not someone else. Make it short, sweet, and put it at the top of your gig description and the beginning of your gig video. You only have a couple of seconds to catch the buyers attention. Use them well. Make sure you stand out: for your value proposition to have any real value, it must stand out from your competition. Analyze what successful sellers in your category are doing. Don't copy them, but use them for inspiration to create your own value proposition. Ask yourself "What makes me and what I offer different and better?" Skip the marketing jargon and fancy buzzwords: I wrote about this in a topic yesterday. Click here to read it, and learn why buzzwords can be a turn-off to your buyers. Remember that you're writing for real people, so keep your feet planted firmly on the ground. Address doubts: every buyer has doubts! You need to address them. It could be your price, or maybe they aren't sure if your service will work well for them. Know what those doubts are, and make sure you address them to make the buyer feel safe. Avoid spelling errors, bad grammar and syntax errors: If your English is bad, you'll scare away buyers. Make sure you can communicate clearly. Use tools like Grammarly to improve your grammar, but there's no substitute for actually knowing a language. Make it easy to understand what you're selling: don't dress it up too much. Make it clear from the get-go what's included, and be specific but quick about it. Get rid of distracting elements: if your gig thumbnail, video or description is full of distracting elements, it can be a huge turn-off for your buyer. Avoid filling your description with complicated formatting, emojis, icons and so on. Keep your thumbnails clean and attention-grabbing. The same goes for your gig videos, titles, and communication elsewhere on the platform. I hope this helps if you are struggling with low conversion rates on Fiverr! Following these tips has had a real impact on my own business, and I've tested and implemented each one of them on my way to becoming a successful seller.

  39. If you're "specialized in logo and brand identity" you should be able to build your own brand, wouldn't you say? i checked out your gig, and your visuals look great. Nothing wrong there, so as long as that's your own work, I'd say that's not something you need to work at now. I also checked your description. I have to ask, what does this mean: "You will receive a quality service in return for a quality you pay!" But you're charging 10 bucks? So I can't expect very good quality, can I? I mean - real, true high-quality logos designed to perfection, will cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars. So if you're priced for 10 bucks, I wouldn't mention that you get the quality you pay for, because 10 bucks won't buy you much at all. "24 hours customer support." Are you more than one person? I hope so. Hah. "As per your information submitted, I will start creating remarkable professional modern minimalist business logo concepts as per the original scope of the order." You make it sound like a boring business contract. "As per" and "scope of the order". Try being a bit creative with your gig description. Not so stiff. You also have some punctuation mistakes. Proofread, proofread, then hire someone to proofread, and proofread what they've proofread. :) Same goes for your profile description. Make sure it's 100% free of mistakes, typos and grammar issues.

  42. Fiverr's search results are fluid, which means they are constantly changing. Shortly after the pandemic hit, Fiverr's number of sellers tripled. Therefore, we all must take turns being on the first search pages. Editing your gig is a good thing if it clarifies your offerings for your buyers and makes it easier for them to order. That being said, it takes from 24 to 48 hours to appear in the search again after editing your gig. If you want to show your appreciation for my answer, please use an emoji.
