  1. Hi, I am not that much of a successful seller, but these are few of my knowledge that i am pouring in today for the help of new sellers to understand these things related to ranking a gig and SEO (although you can just make the effort) So to understand this issue first you have to understand how search engines work. Let us assume for our understanding that keywords(tags) are like folders. When you list your gig for a certain keyword(those five tags at the bottom and your title), your gig is basically placed in that folder with all the other gigs that used the same keyword. Now whenever someone searches for that keyword, a list of all the gigs enlisted in that folder are shown to them. But all the gigs cannot be shown at once. So search engines break down and show results in form of pages, like 42 gigs on each page or 60 gigs on each page(i forgot the actual number). Your position in the search result is determined by your SEO score or your ranking. So what happens is that search engines rank gigs on certain criteria. Basically what that criteria is and what factors effect your overall SEO score, nobody knows for sure except the fiverr people who made that search engine. But what happens is something like this. Your gig seo score = (weight of the factor1 * your factor1 total score(lets assume that it is response rate) + weight of factor 2 * your total score of factor 2 (lets assume it is order completion rate) and so on) I hope it did not become too technical here. So now coming over to your problem that you are not finding yourself on search results . It is the reason that there are too many gigs ranked above your gig that your gig is burried down. Whenever you want to use a certain keyword first search how many gigs are using that keyword. If it is below 10k you can use that, above that is too high competition for new gigs. Now coming over to how search engines(generally) rank results. It is based on many factors. The top most being How well optimized for search that gig isHow many visits they are gettingImpressions to click ratioClick to order ratioHow many social media clicks(external traffic that you are bringing to your gig)Order completion rateResponse rateResponse timeRatings And many other criterias that are unknown, each of these factors have their own weights (value). So e.g order cancellation has a negative value and it will harmfully impact your gig ranking. But how much value it has this is kept a secret by search engines.A few advises for you Change up your keywords, use the main keyword in your description 2-3 times as well, be creative with it. Dont just write it three times use it in sentences.Use a combination of long tail and short tail keywords (e.g. business logo design can be a long tail keyword, just logo design is a short tail keyword)Use less competitive keywords.Improve your description and gig title, it must include the main keyword you want to rank on. I hope these tips helps you. I hope these were helpful. Fiverr experts can add more to it if i missed something.I tried my best to use as simple language as possible but in case if something is not clear please don’t hesitate to ask in comments i will try to answer them as soon as possible.

  3. Hi everyone! I just joined Fiverr and am so excited to start writing! I’m from Turkey but went to an all-English high school and to college in the US. I did a double major in philosophy, history of mathematics, and sciences with a double minor in comparative literature and classics. I’ve been in the communications industry for the past 4 years and have been using my skills to create marketing materials. I’m super excited to start freelancing and looking forward to meeting more people in this community :v:t2:

  4. Buyer requests are your friend through thick and thin, when your gig is not ranking on any keyword or you are not getting any orders automatically then these 10 daily requests are your best friends. As I have been saying in my previous posts as well, I am not that much a successful seller on Fiverr, I just have around almost a thousand orders completed and around 680+ reviews but I can’t consider myself successful, but here are some of my tips that might help you in sending your buyer requests, if you find these helpful please apply these in your future buyer requests and write a comment down below if you get an order after following these tips. So let us begin. Parts of Your Buyer Requests: Greetings: Don’t be a robot and must greet them by saying, Hi, hope you are doing great. I mean would you just get straight to business with someone you meet for the first time in real life? Then please do greet first( up to you). Answer any questions asked in the requests: By answering the questions they have asked in their project description you grab their attention. Your focus is more service and help orientated this way. Analyze their requirements as per your technical expertise and give them solutions to the problems. Try to provide your ideas on how you propose to solve their problems. General Do’s and Dont’s • It is advised to address the buyer by their names, so you have to be smart to judge their names from the usernames e.g. if the username is ‘mikecq32’ then you should address the buyer by ‘Hi Mike’. • Read the requirements in detail, don’t answer like a robot, try to provide solutions, try to find that one line that you can use to establish a connection with them, e.g. if the buyer writes about their dog and attaches a picture of their dog, try to comment something nice about the dog in the very first line of your request, this would help you establish a connection with the buyer, and make you stand out from all the other robot sellers. • Let me get this thing straight right now, never ever address a potential client by ‘Hello dear’, I just shut down any conversation starting from hello dear, same is the case with most of the buyers out there. This is one of the most hated words in the freelance world. Seriously just stop saying dear. • Do not address them as Sir/Madam/Boss, gender identification is a sensitive subject, please do not try to be insensitive, try not to address the buyer as sir or madam, use their names instead. • Do not, I repeat do not use a template to send offers, as I said above read the request and reply as per the scenario, be smart, be tactful, you will see that before you even open the request 180-300 people might have already sent their requests to the buyer, so be tactful, try to stand out from the competition with your unique offers. • Try to make them realize that you are the perfect person for this job by making them realize that you care about their business, if they have asked a question in their request, try to answer it in the opening line of your offer. • Try not to overvalue your offer. I would recommend keeping your offer price as close to their budget as possible, e.g. if their budget is $50, try to offer $46 or $51. • Do not pick a request that has a very low budget or a budget you are uncomfortable working with, similarly as a beginner you must realize that anyone with a budget of more than $100 would most likely not work with a new seller, so roundabout budgets of $25-$80 are your target. You can go lower as well if it is okay for you. • Do not degrade the buyers even if the requests are absolutely ridiculous, you would see buyers with a budget of $5 and requirements including 10 initial concepts, a WordPress website, all the stationery items included, and would only pay if happy with the design. My advice-just ignore these types of buyers, in fact, stay as far away as possible. • Last but not least, if they have an attachment, must review it before writing your offer. If it is a ppt then go through that. You would find way more specific things to write just by reviewing the attachments.

  5. Over the past week, I hired three different freelancers for a little digital marketing project I was working on. I tried to make it as random as possible using just one piece of criteria: the details of what they could do for me as explained in their profile and the Gig description. I did not hire on the basis of Gig location in search results (I NEVER use Page One results opting to go deeper), geographic location, the number of 5-Star ratings, Gig graphics, or anything other than what they could do for me. As it turns out, I hired someone in North America, someone in Asia, and someone in Europe. One had 300+ 5-Star ratings, one had 30+ 5-Star ratings and one had just one 5-Star rating. Communication was light with each. Two of the freelancers responded quickly to my order with automated “I’ll get to your order as soon as I can” messages. The third I never heard from nor did they respond when I asked for a project update (that impacted the rating I gave after delivery). All three delivered on time with two producing results just hours after ordering. The best results came from the person in Asia with 300+ 5-Star ratings. A close second was the person with 30+ ratings in North America. What was the purpose of me doing this? I was hoping to debunk the perception many Buyers seem to display in the Forum related to where a Seller is located geographically. I also wanted to show Sellers that there are ways to get work on Fiverr and in many cases (for me, anyway) it has to do with the way your profile and Gig description is written and NOT what page your Gig appears on in a search. Remember, all I used to hire these three freelancers was what they could provide me based on their Gig descriptions. Oh, I should point out that all three of the orders I placed were $5 Gigs. I usually stay away from those but was overall pleased with the quality I received at such a low price. I hope this small experiment helps both Sellers and Buyers here in some way.

  10. Hello, I am from Bangladesh. Yesterday I received a custom offer But when I am clicking “confirm order” after placing all the card details in order to pay for the custom offer, it’s showing "There’s an issue with your payment. Here’s what you can do: Contact your bank or payment provider to get more details about the issue Provide another payment method to complete your order." I’ve contacted the bank they said there is no problem with my dual currency prepaid visa card. SO WHAT CAN I DO NOW!? It’s URGENT! Regards, Md Shamim Hossain

  11. Hello Everyone .!! I hope you are keeping safe in this Pandemic. Yes You heard it correct, my first week on Fiverr was a Roller Coaster Ride. I Joined the platform long back but it’s only a week when I created my first gig. First let me summarize the points that I did before uploading my gig: I checked on the top seller’s, and listed down the key pointers from their profile such as the language, their packages and most importantly the pictures they had used in their gig.I Come up with some exciting Tag line filled with Keywords and I kept it short and Crisp.Banner Image : According to me this is the most important point which gave me order on second day. I Included all the key pointers specific to my service in the banner image and kept same color theme for all the 3 images. So with this I got my first order on second day ! . I was super excited my adrenaline was on next level, with full enthusiasm I delivered the order in 6 hours and Yeah now it is marked as completed. Much Thanks to the Buyer.!! The Joy of my first income at Fiverr was amazing, I got excited and motivated and hoped to get lot’s of orders on this. But then days went by and It was almost a week and I didn’t got any order. I felt disappointed all my dreams which I thought after my first order broke. My mind was continuously forcing me to leave Fiverr but then Suddenly I got my second order. Again my Mind was Blown, Super excitedly I delivered my order and again I thank my Buyer for giving me this opportunity. So I would say, there would be many things that will come to your mind but only your skills and Self Confidence will make you stand apart . Thank You for Spending a minute. Any sort of suggestions on my profile / gig will be highly appreciable. Prakshal Profile: prakshaljain271 | Online Coding Lessons, Data Processing | Fiverr Gig: https://www.fiverr.com/share/w3kgLD

  12. Hi, I’m very confused. In March 18th one guy messaged me and asked me for a fast remake of a song, he wanted it in one hour so he ordered my basic package. I did the remake and delivered almost one hour later, he was happy with the result, accepted the delivery and left a 5 star review. Now April 24st I got a notification saying that the buyer cancelled that order and the reason was: “since you missed your delivery due date of Mar 19, 2021.” What was this? the funds were returned to him but he still got the song I made! Is that even logical?, I went to the order page to see if I really missed the delivery date but no! I delivered on March 18th at 20:01 as you can see in the image below! 2021_04_24_03_28_06_Window810×866 43.4 KBI don’t care about the $5 dollars to be honest, but this is something that could usually happen? I mean what if in the near future I make a work that worths more than $100 and then a month later the buyer decides to cancel the order and he keeps the work and also the money, what is this? I’m super confused right now. I hope you can help me understand this situation, thanks.

  34. I’m sorry but here’s the thing. You provide PROOFREADING and EDITING in one of your gigs. You also provide article writing. And just by looking at you saying “why is new sellers ignored” sadly yet clearly shows that you are not ready to provide such services. Buyers are not ignoring new sellers at all, I know a lovely buyer who always try to give new sellers a chance. Unfortunately the buyers are avoiding ( not ignoring) you because sadly your gigs are not at a professional level yet…

  35. The forum is full of new sellers desperately wanting success. Someone has told them that you just create a gig and everybody rushes to buy it … Easy money! Of course that is not the case! Selling on Fiverr is just like opening a business. Imagine you are opening a shop in a town. You would see what the competition is doing. Are they offering the same thing as you. Can you offer something different or better. Or maybe a niche that nobody else has thought of. That is called research and you must do this before doing anything. Only offer something for which you have the ability to provide a professional service. Make sure everything in your profile is accurate. Buyers are not stupid and they will see through deception and move on to buy from someone else. Your Fiverr account and your forum account are separate. Posting on the forum will not get you sales. Use the forum to read and learn from experienced forum members and sellers. Everything you need to be successful is on the forum or the Fiverr website. Beware of what you are finding elsewhere! Read, learn, take action! Good luck! 🙂

  40. I was asked for a service and was asked for fast delivery at a discount rate in return to promise for more orders from the client, I thought it was a great opportunity so I shared my gig with this person, now this person is stating that this is not what he was expecting and forcing me to cancel the order but I gave him what he requested for and the samples I showed him in the gig screenshots I offered, He accepted the same gig and now is using statements like: “Are you trying to fool me”, I don’t want that such buyers play with my reputation, as I am new on Fiverr I don’t want that my rating decrease because of such buyers. Please help me through this situation.

  41. They are both useless, that’s the difference. You want to invest in your skills, create a great portfolio and impressive gigs. It doesn’t matter if you stay online on Fiverr for 5 minutes or 24 hours. The idea is how you use that time you spend online.
    5 points
  42. The Fiverr system will take the average of your order ratings and round them up! In this case, your average is 4.97, so Fiverr just rounds it.

  44. Whenever a buyer places an order, they are taking a gamble on whether they will actually receive what they wanted. Ordering from a new seller with no/minimal track record of happy/satisfied buyers is seen as being a more risky gamble than from a seller with hundreds or thousands of positive reviews. Is it fair to the new seller? No, but fairness doesn’t really play a part in freelance success. Everyone has to go through the same hurdle of being a new seller with no track record on the platform to back them. Do established sellers with hundreds or thousands of orders actually live up to their promises? Maybe. Maybe not. As aforementioned, all orders are still a gamble, but of varying “perceived” risk.

  45. I am not pretty sure how it is showing this badge, In the past my customer service was not that good and professional, i was a beginner and did a lot of mistakes then i took a time off of fiverr worked on my communication skills and my overall design skills and i have been improving my service and the communication and the overall experience for the buyers. Since then i have a few loyal customers(just a handful) that keep coming back whenever they require a similar service. I think the trick is communication and your end product. Keep working hard to improve both of them and they’ll most certainly return. I still am working really hard on improving both of them. You can watch Chris Do on youtube, listen to his clubhouse recordings and you’ll learn a lot about service before selling. His words have made me a better seller and a better communicator. I hope it helps

  47. Provide a service in something you are actually talented/skilled at. Perform research to find out if there is a real demand for that service and how other sellers present their gigs in said category. Are there a huge amount of competitors for said service? If so, try to narrow your gig into more of a specific, yet not too specific niche that has a better chance of standing out. Laboriously create as good a gig page as you can. This is your store front. It doesn’t matter if you get 10,000 impressions if the gig repels potential buyers from ever ordering.
