  3. Yes, and buyers only wanting to pay $5 ruined $5 Fiverr by constantly wanting more for less, despite many reselling services as their own for 500%+ markups. Every single talented seller on Fiverr avoids $5 buyers like the plague. They don’t want cheap prices, they want miracles that they feel entitled to receive because the customer is always right. If you don’t find people you want to work with charging $5, it’s because they were burned, exploited, passive-aggressively abused, and scammed every day when they did work for $5. It is FANTASTIC to hear that many $5 big spenders are leaving Fiverr for greener pastures. Hopefully wherever they go next, they’ll learn to appreciate a bargain when they see it.

  4. There are still $5 logos, if that’s what you’re looking for. However, if you want to buy a $500 logo for $5, then yes, it’s going to be a problem.

  5. Why would sellers work on Fiverr if they couldn’t get “good money for their work”?

  6. This post is hilarious. I remember when you could get a slice of pizza and a soda for $1 in NYC. That same pizza and soda today will run you $5-$6 easy.

  7. You seem to have the mindset that everything on fiverr should cost $5. Sure, that was what the site was like at first, but it has changed a lot since then. With the quality some sellers are putting out, $5 is insanely low. And even then, the amount most freelancers here charge is still a lot lower than other places. Don’t like it, leave. Simple as.

  8. After long time from opening my Fiverr account, I got awarded. I’m an Android developer with 5 years of experience. I worked for about 5 years on other freelancing sites, but I always find the idea of Fiverr micro-freelancing very attractive, especially if you are a busy developer. I always like to do Android tasks in my free time with no long commitments. I signed up with Fiverr, but for long time never received any requests. Unlike other freelancing sites who are based on developers send proposals to clients, Fiverr is based on receiving orders from clients to micro-services offered by developers. Finally, I got the requests and I did two tasks from one customer very good. I’m happy with Fiverr, as an Android developer, you feel you can focus on what you can work on. For example, because I’m little bit busy on my daily life, I like to work on fixing code, adding small features to apps, and make little modifications. Quick tasks taking few hours, and then done. I liked to share this note with all newcomers on Fiverr, which may be useful to them. Best of luck for everyone.

  9. You know how you know a buyer is a scammer? It’s simple. They are too stupid to even hide the fact. Two weeks running now, I have had two different buyers open disputes on orders for the exact same reason. This being that: I even had a hunch with the second-order that it was the same buyer right from the beginning. They ordered direct, gave similarly vague instructions each time, and with both orders, insisted that their content be plagiarism free. As it is then, this a reminder why sellers should never cancel orders OR offer any revisions with any gig packages. The first time this buyer ordered (from their other account) I did cancel. I did so because they were purposefully wording dispute messages to make it look like I had done something wrong. (I had not.) As it was, I was too busy to deal with a narcissist maniac, so eventually, I canceled. I shouldn’t have though, as now this person knows they can pull the same stunt using different accounts like they are now. (I noticed this pattern a long time ago when I was a new seller.) So far, my response to this buyer has been thus: reply789×470 35.6 KBSurprisingly, this time this buyer has not filed another dispute straight away like they did last time. But, I guess we will wait and see.

  20. One of the pieces of feedback earlier this year was around categories that are high traffic, but low engagement (My Fiverr Gigs) Recently, I was able to configure it so that these categories no longer show up in the “Latest” section of the forum. This should make the “Latest” section a little more friendly for searching out discussions. As always, feedback is welcome.

  25. I agree with @cyaxrex. Why refund in the first place? Also, partial refunds are a bad idea. This opens up the door to a TON of abuse, some buyers will try to get some of the money back, threatening sellers with bad reviews. Also, I am not sure Fiverr would quantify partial cancellations and how would that impact seller levels. It’s just a ton of work for a feature that’s most likely going to be abused by a lot of people. The system is fine the way it is. Refuse cancellations or offer them and deal with the penalty 🙂

  26. When you are active on the Fiverr Forum, you learn how to be a better seller because your English skills will improve. English is an essential skill to have when communicating with buyers who are mainly from English speaking countries. Also, you will learn what is not acceptable to call English speaking users. As @imagination7413 pointed out. In English speaking cultures, most do not like to be called, sisters, brothers, bros, mates and so forth.

  27. If you’re not active, you’re not learning. If you’re not learning, you’re not improving. Those who are stagnant and still are not growing. (Not a senior, not your sister.)

  28. I’ve just noticed 2 super useful features on another forum I frequent and was wondering whether that’s possible for this forum too; I don’t know if that other forum runs on Discourse software too or not, but it looks a bit similar, so I guess asking doesn’t hurt and these features, especially #1, could improve our forum experience a lot: On hovering thread titles, you’ll see a “tool-tip” window with a preview (first paragraph) of the opening post (even for the last post in a thread as well, when you hover that) - genius! When you click an old thread, you see a coloured banner on top and bottom that tells you something like “This topic is XXX days old, are you sure it’s worth bumping this?” Maybe there’s a way to do this or something similar? 🙂

  29. It looks like you missed a lot. Fiverr changed their strategy a long time ago moving towards pro sellers with market prices. It’s not for you to decide what is fiverr strategy but for fiverr itself and they are making a move to be a more reliable and professional platform. However if you wish there are still thousands of 5$ logos. + how about the inflation? 5$ 10 years ago is not the same as 5$ right now

  30. I see you offer to write essays. Helping with academic work is a violation of the Terms of Service at the bottom of the Fiverr main page. Your gig is likely to be removed at any time. Suggest you delete your essay gig and remove all references to essays from elsewhere in your other gigs. Make sure to carefully read the Terms of Service as you are risking your account.

  31. Yeah, when I saw the guy (whose name escapes me right now) that used to do two articles for $5 getting his whole life torn apart due to his name being shared on scammy groups because he cancelled orders a lot, I realized just how important it is to stand your ground with these types.

  37. I’ve just gone on fiverr to get a logo. I see fiverr is now an advertising platform instead of a cheaper resource. I have no problem with people making good money for their work but fiverr was never set up for that. There are better sites to pay full fee.

  38. If you are going to send a buyer request, keep following things in mind: Understanding the request and try to write it in your response Put your strategy how would you do it for the buyer Make sure to mention some of questions even if you understood everything, don’t just say that you got it and you can do it Mention some of similar examples or at least a few links from your past work. Don’t use portfolio links from someone else. Make sure to use a polite language and try to greet at the start and end. Mention your name at the end of request. Don’t just send a generic message to everyone If you still have got a question, please mention me below and I will try to respond.

  39. @coerdelion didn’t say “some”. I get most of my orders when I’m asleep, too. Now, if someone offers a service that 60,000+ other sellers offer, the first one who responds to the buyer is likely to get the job. But if that’s not the case, and if the buyer doesn’t need the job done in the next hour or so, being online is unlikely to make a difference.

  40. And there are still many $5 gigs, so what’s the problem? Just filter the available gigs by price. Or you just can’t stand it if you see a price higher than $5? Do you think it’s possible to survive on $5 gigs alone? Or do you want people to starve to death so you could get a $5 service?

  41. Welcome to Fiverr!! To get more orders and sales, make your gigs attractive use catchy thumbnails and tags and correct SEO. Send all 10 Buyer request in a professional and precised way to get orders. But do not fully depend on that, you need to do marketing yourself. Usually, it takes 2-3 weeks normally to get first order if you send all 10 buyer request daily. For me, it took only 9 days to get my first order. After the first order is completed others orders will follow unexpectedly. You need to be patient. Try to impress buyers if they inbox you to receive an order. Keep your work sample / portfolio ready, because many buyers ask for it before placing an order.

  43. I received a letter today. We’ve launched a new Sub Category, that’s just perfect for your Gig, so we’ve updated your Gig placement. And Fiverr team move my gig in the wrong category. They think that “lottie” and “logo” is the same thing. How I can fix this?

  44. Hi. He is abusing the revision button. Simply redeliver the same thing and tell him “I’m sorry but you never told me what you wanted for the revision. It’s been 40 days and I need the order to complete. Thanks”. If you’re lucky, the guy never replies and the order will auto complete in 3 days.

  46. This person is beyond disgusting. Their real identity is easy to trace online. They present themselves as a champion of (insert socially progressive cause of choice here), they then funnel their social media followers to a gofundme page where they are raising money to over the cost of their new, supposedly socially progressive startups. They have raised the above amount in just 2-weeks for their latest website. This person then comes to Fiverr, places orders, and then pulls out the I’m not paying card. This person isn’t disgusting. They are moral filth. - And they should probably learn how to cover their tracks better.
