  1. It’s been a crazy long road getting here but I finally managed to get over 2000 orders. I’ll be honest, I never thought I’d get this far so this honestly still surprises me. Fiverr has really helped me turn my life around and for that I’ll always be thankful and hope Fiverr stays around for many years to come.

  2. Hi Everyone, I’m excited to announce a new feature for sellers. As part of our ongoing efforts to increase overall marketplace quality, we will begin offering the opportunity to take skills tests to verify seller skills. Skills tests will not be mandatory, but are an opportunity to increase buyer trust by proving your skills in the subcategories in which you offer services. We’ve been rolling out the skills tests in the Translation subcategory over the past few weeks, but starting today, a small sample of sellers will be able to test in over 400+ skills! We will be gradually opening up this feature to all sellers over the coming weeks. Once your account is active with the skills test feature, it’s easy to get started: To take a skill test: Go to fiverr.com/my_profileIn your profile card, click Take Tests on the left pane.Select a Skill Test to take.https://sellers.fiverr.com/en/article/taking-a-skill-test Again, you do not have to take these tests. They are 100% optional. However, taking a test is a great way to prove your aptitude and earn a new buyers’ trust—and to keep your skills sharp! As a seller, you have the option to show or hide your score to Fiverr buyers. Should you choose to share your skill test results, users will see various details such as your score, time spent, results by topic, and more. If you don’t pass the test the first time, don’t panic! You can retake the test after 24 hours and up to two times in a 3-month period. Hopefully taking the test provides an opportunity to brush up on your skills and continue to hone your expertise. Have questions about the skills test? Please leave a comment below.

  3. I’ve just read that a Pro seller has failed one of these tests due to (apparently) long-standing problems like incorrect answer choices with the test provider. On this note, it seems that to earn seller and buyer trust, Fiverr has: Not researched the best test provider to use on the siteThrown money arising from seller commission and buyer fees on a service with known flawsDecided to give itself a pat on the back for the trouble while ignoring the herd of elephant sized bugs stomping round everywhere. If Fiverr was one of its own sellers that would be a 1-star review. Also, if buyers don’t read gig descriptions, what makes anyone think that they are going to read test scores? Hint: Buyers like reviews, an easy to use UI, low fees, and shopping carts. It’s not rocket science.

  5. Of course, there are always bad apples out there that will try to scam and cheat the tests. There are precautions built into the test platform to help minimize those who would look to cheat the test. Clearly, there are ways around it, but then a seller would be violating our Terms of Service, thus compromising their account. These tests are 100% free.

  6. Dear Fiverr app team, In the past 1-2 weeks I found a bug in the app. Anytime my android phone’s Fiver app sends me a notification, when I tap it, it starts up the fiverr app and takes me to one particular conversation I had weeks ago. The notification is for a new message from a new client, but every time it goes back to a single discussion, and I manually have to find the new message. Can I do something to fix this? Thanks!

  8. I’m also offering translation services and it won’t make me happy to be the one to confirm these comments through the English to Spanish test. Moreover, in the same thread @carineb posted the image referring to the instructions, being the first one, that there could be more than one correct answer. Now, as seen through @mjensen415 post, the translation skill test relates, among others, to verbs, articles and verb tenses. Can anyone please tell me how on earth a translation regarding verb tenses or articles - just to mention these 2 - can have more than one correct answer? 🤨 Since the day Fiverr made the test available for me I have been thinking whether to take it or not… and the more I think about it, the less I like it 😏 We shouldn’t care and buyer never care, actually nobody give a F about this little test, no benefit to buyer or seller. I have no idea why they always doing this kind of new feature which benefit less than 1% of the users on the platform. Do something or at least fix your bugs, turning to the right direction is more importrant then copying competitors platform idea and tell yoru user: “Hey! We got that too now, let’s have a try and we sure you’ll like it”. Thanks but no thanks. Why not 'Hey, we have new payment partner or we can clear your payment is less than 3 days with NO CHARGEBACK Possible because we are big enough to bargain with PP now." That kind of feature I want to see fiverr giving.

  9. Of course it’s not allowed! The only way to get reviews is to deliver orders. Anything else is manipulation of the system and will get you banned.

  10. So what you are saying that we are turning into UpWrk or Freelncer?

  11. As we all foresaw, fiverr become more like its competitor freelancing site. Next move I guess will be ‘bid’ or need to write proposal for an order? Let’s see.

  12. When a new user or a user who is not getting any orders and sending messages to several well experienced sellers to get some work, i would say that approach is totally wrong. Usually newbies are sending spam messages to every experienced seller or sending custom orders directly for getting the work without knowing the fact that the receiver is also a seller just like them. In this way no one will ever give you work and it is called SPAMMING in Fiverr system and due to this you could get banned by Fiverr if someone has reported against you. Now the HOTTEST question is “How WE can Get the Orders” ? And I would say that to First update your gigs upto some standards. And you might be curious what are those standards? So here is the list below: 1: Well researched and well written gig title, seo based title, relevant tags, description and selection of the keywords that you are going to select for your gig matters alot. 2: The images that you are going to select for the GIG must be of “High Quality” and should not be taken by searching from Google and you must not violate copyright in this step. Fiverr takes very serious action about copyright issues. 3: You need to showcase some original and best quality work in the gig as portfolio samples. 4: You must have to select realistic and best possible affordable gig packages based on the market prices which can be checked by looking under the same category gigs. Buyers should see a real value for the money they are going to spend on your gig. And show them why they should select you over other experienced sellers. You must have something unique in offering which will help you standout from the competition. 5: Regularly keep an eye on the views, impressions and clicks of the gig. If your impressions and views are not increasing and keep going down, there must be something wrong with your gig description, seo title, tags and keywords that you have used in your Gig. Try to update them and better optimize them according to best searched keywords in your category. Please try to think from the perspective of a buyer. Like if he is going to purchase your gig or not and why would he purchase your Gig than others. Buyers who spend even a single dollar need some quality output and you have to prove that your service is their need. By every passing day lot of new people are joining Fiverr. So, you can definitely see competition is increasing for each and every service on Fiverr and you have to compete with some unique approach. Selling something online is not that easy, but I believe if you properly spend some time on thinking best possible strategies and setup your services with some quality checks, surely you will get the orders.

  13. Hello everybody! I have been a seller for more than 2 years now and I do pretty good. I never really posted anything here but I really need help now since I really feel mistreated by Fiverr and CS is incapable or unwilling to help. All this started on January of this year. Long story short I had a buyer who kept asking for more than we agreed upon and kept returning the order. After I delivered it 2 - 3 times (after even adding stuff we did’t agree on) he wrote to CS for cancellation. Result was: Order CancelledI got TOS violation for abusing “Send Button” and level demotionI thought this is (terribly) unfair so I write to CS and they simply copy paste the TOS section of “Send Button” and “resolve” my ticked they don’t bother looking deeper just punish me and ofc they are “sorry this happened to me”. Second episode happened around April A buyer of mine had made an order of 5$ just writing “Hello” and nothing else with 2 day delivery. I was not really around and didn’t even notice the order. After 2 days the buyer again on his own cancels the order. It turns out he just wanted to write me but didn’t know how. I politely explain to him that his cancellation affects me negatively (1 star thing). He writes me that he is terribly sorry and he actually didn’t know what he was doing the whole time so I just told him to pls ask for the removal of the review at least since all was a big misunderstanding (I was polite the whole time and I didn’t get angry or anything). Result was: Negative feedback was removed on buyers requestI got TOS violation for “Finding ways around our system” (Whatever the hell that means) and demoted againI write to CS again as the TOS violation was completely senseless. Again they just come with some copy - pasted text and tell me not to “Finding ways around our system”. Now it was clear to me that they don’t look into cases and they just take smth at face-value so I write a 3rd ticked but this time I asked what was going on and why they don’t investigate cases further but just throw TOS violations with ridiculous presences. The 3rd ticked was marked as “resolved” without an answer!!! Third episode happened around a week ago As also happened 100 times before a buyer orders without taking to me first. I always managed to complete the order in their terms anyway (I know that going to CS was hopeless) but this time I could’t since I could not physically do the order nor I could cancel it. So I write to the buyer and we agree to cancel the order and he is sorry for ordering without talking to me. Anyway I see that the buyer didn’t cancel the order so I write him and he doesn’t reply. So I deliver the order by writing “Hello?”. Finally he comes back he asked for a “Modification” and writes he is like super sorry not to have responded. Anyway he finally writes to CS the order gets cancelled: Completion rate lowered.I got TOS violation for abusing delivery button :rofl:This time I didn’t write CS since I got used to the unfair treatment so whatever, I just let it slide my completion rate is high anyway and also they now demote you with 2 TOS violations instead of 1. Forth and most horrendous abuse happened a couple of days ago Out of the blue I get a notification that my main gig that I have been using for more than 2 years and with more than 240 reviews (Almost all 5 stars) has been “DENIED”. I was like WOWWWWWW WTF ??? I mean I had other gigs denied but new ones not the one I’ve been using for more than 2 years. I see that the reason was “Academic & HW gig” (The gig itself was a gig offering support and contusing with quantitative data analysis like a 1000 other gigs and not HW). I was (am) both super pissed and disappointed. This time I write to CS but super angry. I argue that this is super unfair and I ask them what the HELL is their problem with me (and a lot other curse words). They (always as funny as they are) copy and paste the TOS text and say to me don’t do home works (WTF?) and the ticked is “resolved”. I wrote a follow up but no response. Now the last episode is really unacceptable I mean the other are clear unfair treatment or plain out negligence on the part of fiverr but hey we survived now this last one is some clear punitive action but I don’t understand it. If I hand’t put a 2 year effort in building my account I would leave. So I am really confused atm. Anybody has any idea on what is going on here? Also please don’t be “sorry” CS has been “sorry” enough as useless as they are. I am really looking for a real answer here. Sorry for the long post and thank you!

  16. Price is not something easy to set. It’s one of the things that make you a professional or not. Being able to put the right prices of your gigs is something you must master, and it can’t be answered in one sentence. If you go too high, you risk not getting orders. If you go too low, you may risk being regarded as a cheap, low quality seller. You must decide what are your services worth in the market. Do a market research, establish goals, think carefully and smart. Please note this: 1 $20 order = 4 $5 orders.1 $30 order = 6 $5 orders. …So… if you have 10 $20 orders, and 30 $5 orders… which one is better? The one with more orders? Or the one that gives you more revenues and more time to deliver quality work? You decide.

  17. Your gig images are just random stock photo or a screenshot, better to put some info as text too. Check other gigs on your category, you will get some ideas. With your gigs, you also need to add some work sample. You have one gig that says " I Will Help You To Solve Mathematics". That you offering assignment solutions. This type of service no longer allowed on Fiverr, you could get banned for this. Now days marrket is too competative, you need to stand out from the crowd to get buyers attention & trust. Have a research on other sucecessfull gigs on your category and update your gig.

  18. So, I got my first order today! Yay… kinda. First thing, random buyer messages me and asks if I can do an odd job with his/her logo. Next, I’m asking for some details and saying, “Hey, would you like me to do anything else, because I can get that done super quick for $5.” Buyer clarifies his order, basically saying no, so I give them a special $5 offer based on the their request. Ok, not so bad. I can slam it out it 5 sec–wait. What kind of filetype is that? Turns out there are still image file types that I don’t know about. Alright, so I check it out and find out it’s an InDesign photo. I download the free trial, sprinting to grab the photo and go (The Buyer requested a short delivery). I ran into an error with the document, but the Buyer never responded with what I needed to fix it. Since time was wasting away I thought of a workaround and delivered the order with 30 minutes to spare. Hectic, stressful (I’m sure other sellers have had much worse problems), and have yet to hear anything from the Buyer. I hope they’re happy with all the trouble I went through. Word to the wise: make sure you know ALL the details of what you’re going to be dealing with before you do. Otherwise it’ll hurt your credibility, or you will have to scram to accomplish the order.

  20. Welcome to Fiverr Preston. Your gig is great. I would probably add more samples to your demo such as explainer video style, IVR…narration etc. Your demo right now seems to be focused on character voicing only. Don’t start your main gig demo with a character sample in the very beginning, instead create more gigs. For example: “ I will be your character voice”……there you can showcase various characters and accents and it will be easier for clients to find you especially if they are looking for character voices. You price might be a little high. I would drop the price to get that gig going. You can call it a “new client” introductory price, a September special ;). When you start getting orders you can adjust it accordingly. I would also take the following sentence out of your profile: “I’ve been highly recommended to enter the voice acting/voice ……” Make sure to keep an eye on those buyer request. There are tons of clients looking for VO ;). Good luck! 🍀

  21. There’s a couple of points I want to evidentiate here. Your mentality of “I create two gigs and success will come” is an illusion. Fiverr (or any other business) doesn’t work like that. You need to create as many gigs as you can, promote yourself, send buyer’s requests on a daily basis and so forth. Waiting for clients never works and never will. You got lucky in the beginning, but that can’t be something for you to count on.When things are stale, that must be an action sparker. Bring some new skills, polish the gigs you have, try new things etc. You had plenty of time at disposal to see what successful gigs do and do that too. Again, drop the “I’ll wait and it will be better” mentality. It will never work in the long-run! Stephen Hawking famously said, ‘Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.’Your frustration has nothing to do with Fiverr, it has to do with the false expectation you had. Frustration comes when we don’t do anything to progress ourselves further. Stop pointing your finger at something you don’t control, like Fiverr, and point it at the main source of results, yourself.A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor. ✌️

  22. Fiverr does not issue TOS violation warnings and instant level demotions for no reason, and, the fact that they were pretty specific in their reasoning suggests that you actually did something you shouldn’t – thus making their action valid and appropriate. Did you, perhaps, click the deliver button at any time, without attaching any files? That would be against the rules. This was, most definitely your fault. You didn’t deliver on time, the order went late, and when it does, the buyer can cancel, and you will automatically receive a 1-star “the seller did not deliver on time” review. The buyer is entitled to receive the work they paid for, and you are required to deliver it. The fact that you tried to get a valid 1-star review removed (which you DID rightly earn by not delivering your order on time), was another rule broken. Reviews are earned, and it is against Fiverr’s rules to try to get them removed. It was kind of Fiverr to remove the review, but, as it was still a valid review, you were rightly penalized. It is also worth noting, CS does not appreciate being harrassed about things that have already been resolved. You kept writing to CS and demanding an answer. They didn’t like that – I wouldn’t either. You earned both warnings and demotions. You really need to be aware of the rules so that things like this don’t happen. Have you read the Fiverr TOS lately? Yes. You did violate TOS. You delivered without sending any attached work. You can’t do that either. Once again… it’s written in the rules. This isn’t a surprise, or any rudeness on CS’s part. You NEED to read the rules, and abide by them. You didn’t and you got penalized a third time. Correct. Fiverr is removing all gigs that offer any kind of academic writing services. And they are right to do this also. Someone hiring you to do anything related to – or seen as homework – is unethical. Students should be doing their own homework, not hiring other people to do it for them. [shakes head] Well, unfortunately, you’re probably not going to like the “real answers”, but, you broke the rules at least three times, you harassed CS by demanding answers when they had already provide answers (which it seems you didn’t like), and then you cursed angrily instead of accepting responsibility for you actions. Unfortunately, there are no other answers. Fiverr already provided them, and I have attempted to clarify them here. You NEED to read and be aware of the Fiverr rules/TOS.

  26. I from time to time helplessly check the Fiverr Pro categories, to no avail. As expected, voice overs are still not a thing on Fiverr Pro. And, suddenly, whilst thinking how long it’s been since it all begun, this idea came through my mind. Like a bullet. It hit fast, and deep. And so, fellow forum users, I came up with this singular petition to the Fiverr crew. Once upon a time, our fellow @eoinfinnegan wrote: Hence, I present to you all: Some disclaimers: I’m no pro singer.English is not my main language, kindly dismiss any misspells or misspronounciations. This is all just for the lols, don’t take it too seriously.Placed it under “my gigs” category to prevent the “you are promoting your services” discussion.Hope you all had some great vacations! Mod note: Moved category to ensure it is seen by Torrelles’ legions of fans. This is not a self promo video, it is comedic genius along with a delightful singing voice. EDIT AS OF SEMPTEMBER THE 6TH Guys, we did it. I received a very special private message today.

  28. I like the fact that the tests are optional and that the seller can choose to display or hide his scores. I am concerned by two things: Each tests is 40 minutes long- that’s a very long time! A 5 to 10 minutes test can be just as effective. Remember that some sellers are multi-talented and will need to take several tests. Will our clients demand we take the tests for them to order? I would hate to hear, “sorry, you can’t proofread my article until you pass the Oxford English Test.” I suppose if I deliver all my orders and have nothing to do, I can take one of the tests. I’m just concerned with the complaints that the tests may be defective. I took a look at the Copywriter test (you can look at the syllabus before taking the test) and saw this: Copyright issuesMicrosoft word 2010 fundamentalsOther types of writingPoetryTechnical writing tools and softwareSeriously? Copyright issues is for lawyers (although all copywriters are aware of the dangers of plagiarism), we all know how to use Microsoft Word, don’t see how “other types of writing” apply, poetry is rarely used, and only technical writers need technical writing tools and software. The guy who writes furniture assembly instructions, software instructions, etc, that’s a technical writer. That is not what copywriters do. In the real world, the only tests copywriters get are projects. “Hi, we need a Facebook Ad to promote our Bridal Expo,” so you create an ad. If they like it, you passed the test.

  39. Will these tests really increase buyer’s trust? Don’t they know that test questions are limited and almost same all the time and the answers are available on internet. Test takers don’t have to actually be skilled to pass the test. They will just google and find the answer.

  40. Why didn’t you request cancellation through the Resolution Center? Even if the buyer was unresponsive, it would have gone through after 2 days. Surely you know that an empty delivery if a huge ToS violation? This is the first time I see that someone tries to get an order cancelled by delivering “Hello?” It just doesn’t make any sense.

  41. Exchanging gig reviews is probably one of the quickest ways to get banned. From Fiverr’s Terms of Service: “Purchases arranged, determined to artificially enhance seller ratings, or to abuse the Fiverr platform with purchases from additional accounts, will result in a permanent suspension of all related accounts.” If you wish to know what’s allowed and what isn’t, the best thing to do is to read the terms. You’ll find the link at the bottom of every forum page (“Legal”).

  48. We all get a max of 5 tags to use per gig, right from the start, if new seller or TRS, make good use of it, every bit you do that others don´t do, will help you. If you think 2 tags describe your service perfectly and everyone would type in either of those two, or both, great; if not, again, you got 5! tags to catch words or combinations of words people type in the search bar. Think like a buyer: what would you search for if you were looking for the service your gig offers? Ask random people (who are not used to the “insider slang” you and people in your category use) - family, friends, your favourite coffeeshop barista: What would you type into the search bar if you were looking for… ? Try the ones you hear most often. Find and ask some people who actually buy the service you offer for the terms they do/would type in. Depending on how adventurous you are, reserve up to 4 tags for the search terms that most people would use, use the rest for more “niche-y” terms which make you think “OH! YES! THAT! There surely are people who are looking for that but no/few sellers have that tag!” Keep the most popular search terms, play around with the rest, i.e. if one doesn´t seem to work, try another one. (Take note that your gig disappears from search for a while when you edit it though, Fiverr staff needs to check gigs when you edit them, to make sure they are not against the infamous ToS (Terms of Service), so you might not want to edit too often, or do it when you could need a break and less orders anyway, ideally. When you´ve edited your gig, give it some time, if you´re lucky, it will be back up in just a couple hours, but if not, I´d give it up to 48 hours, if it´s not back by then, you may want to contact Customer Support.) If you’re reading this, you´re probably new here – welcome to the forum and good luck on your Fiverr journey! 🍀

Here are some of the tools I used to gain more clients as a Virtual Assistant: Social Media Personal Page: In the beginning I posted on my Google+ and Facebook about my gigs. I would ask people to like, read, and share. Many became intrigued by my post and would either check the link or share with a friend. Add catchy call-to-actions and headlines. For example I would say “Who would like to increase their productivity as a business owner?” or “How many of you would benefit from a personal assistant?”. I would follow up with “Hire a Virtual Assistant Today” and many people responded. Facebook Groups: I am in numerous business related groups on FB and would post there often. I could also search in terms to find members who were looking for a virtual assistant. Commenting and liking posts increases the probability of members seeing your posts when post them. So I continuously stay active in all of the groups. Word of Mouth If you know people in your everyday life who could benefit from your services, interest them in your gig. Encourage them to share with their friends and family. My first client shared her experience with her business owner friends and I gained two clients. Always make sure to go above and beyond in your gigs to encourage them to put in a good word. What ways have you all used outside of Fiverr to gain more clients?
