English versus English (UK)

Nope. “Fin”.

The double “n” cancels the effect of the “e”.

Regardless, ladies do shout Fyne at me from time to time when walking down the street and I always make sure to correct them with the same explanation.

For $5 I’ll give the right pronunciation of ya name to all who pronounce it wrongly, and explain why it’s so. (Fiverr note: Short gig titles tend to sell better)

BTW: I grew up learning the British English, read a lot of American novels (including those with modern US English, and those with the outdated western form). Observed a couple of my teachers were indecisive as to which we actually were meant to use, and then got stuck in the American way, thanks to MSWord. So, I’m up for anything, really. But, yes, it does make a difference when you are a writer. As for the search engine bruhaha, I think I’ll have to check and confirm for mine.
