Keeping a strong Order Completion rate is important because completing as many orders as possible is the way to gain revenue, build relationships with buyers, and grow your business. It is one way for you to track the quality of the service you’re providing on Fiverr, and can also be a factor that influences your Gig’s position in search rankings.

This has always been true. The overall completion rate could definitely affect your search position. However, if you have almost no non-mutual cancellations that keeps your overall cancellation rate low and we’ve always had to work on that. A few mutual cancellations when the other tools aren’t enough don’t seem likely to drive your cancellation rate up to dangerous levels. (New sellers may have to be more careful since they have fewer orders in a 60 day period.)

For ages there have been sellers listing logo design or article writing based on watching one YouTube video on Photoshop or spinning a good article. They would cancel any order that they couldn’t do and collecting reviews from easygoing buyers who are willing to lose $5 and move on. This made artificially inflated ratings. That won’t be so easy for those unskilled sellers now since they can’t do 5 mutual cancellations for every 1 good review to build a false storefront or their ranking will drop.

I noticed a slight decrease in my completion rate as well, which I found odd. I had a couple of times recently where a buyer mistakenly ordered twice so we did a mutual cancellation, thought maybe that is why. But those tiny number of orders shouldn’t affect much!

I really think that this is a new roll out and Fiverr will need to update it some more to make it more accurate. It doesn’t seem perfect yet 🙂

Now mine is at 87% and I have not had a cancellation since it hit 88% this morning.

Is this one going to drop for no reason like the response rate does?

I noticed that this morning. I already sent fiverr support the details under the same ticket I had open from before. Keep you posted.

Maybe you have already noticed that, recently Fiverr updated the Order Completion Rate. It will display the result of last 60 days calculation. The rate also includes all cancellations, which is now included mutual cancellations. This might be a bit of a shock, but don’t worry this is for your internal use only and no one else sees these ratings. It’s to help you track your account progress on orders and account. I’ve included links to a few items that might be helpful in understanding this feature better:

Read this topic here. I have written a post about this update.

Yeah i’m having the issue. my cancellation rate dropped to 81%. is it bug?

Fiverr updated the orders completed calculation, so it’s not supposed to be a bug. The only weird thing is people have been reporting some odd behaviour even with knowing this information. Keep in mind that the percentage is a calculation of the last 60 days.

My percentage should be going up and did go up and then the next day went back down even though there were no cancellations in that time.

That is pretty frustrating. I am hoping they clear up any issues that may be lingering. I’ve also noticed that my to do list has needed reloading twice because of odd behavior.

I have another (possibly) alarming twist on this. My delivered on time rate is currently on an IV line at 79% after 5 late orders at the beginning of Jan. - How 5 late orders can equate to an almost 25% drop over a 60 day period is beyond me, however, I’ve just put that down to the mathematical abilities of the stray cat which I have long suspected secretly runs Fiverr.

Anyway, I clawed myself up to 80% again the other day. The only problem is that I delivered an order on time, only for someone to request a revision shortly after the deadline. This then sent my delivery on time stats sliding back down to 79% even though no revision was actually necessary. (The buyer decided he wanted a voice over which I don’t do).

Then… I today nudged a buyer who hadn’t supplied any order details, only for him to say he ordered by mistake and wanted to cancel. I wasn’t doing that so I referred him to CS in the hope that their doing it wouldn’t effect my cancellation ratio. However, after I got the notification that they had canceled the order, my delivery on time stats slid further down to 78% again.

Mad, completely unfair (if my observations are correct), however, in this case, it might be that delivery on time stats are sliding across the board due to revision requests which come in after orders have been delivered? In this case, be better doers and everything will be A-OK!

P.S. My orders completed stats were at 98% this morning but have tumbled down to 86% after that CS cancelation. If this isn’t a bug, it’s highly upsetting.

Cybella! How the devil have you been outside of obnoxious Fiverr bs?

The cancellation thing is a bit of a mess at the moment. We’ve been discussing it here if you haven’t seen it already:

New seller's policy!

Looks like @emmaki was on to something after all! http://blog.fiverr.com/fiverrs-updated-sellers-policy-need-know/ Have you read the new seller's policy? What do you think?!?

Reading time: 12 mins ? Likes: 64 ❤

But the current consensus does seem to be not to cancel if you can help it, as Fiverr doesn’t seem to know what its doing, but the stray cat sure knows what it wants, so we must all kowtow to the stray cat.

I was aware of the new seller policy. That’s why I told my ordered by mistake nugget to hop along and annoy CS. It’s if orders that are delivered on time can count as not delivered on time if buyers ask for revisions which worries me.

I also had another bug where I created a new gig yesterday only for it to vanish. It hasn’t come back so I created it again, only for my gig count to say 12 instead of 11 now.

Perhaps if nothing gets fixed we could just phone the Israeli SPCA to have them finally go round and see if the cat in control of it all is actually okay.
