Have any of you seen a percentage drop for Orders Completed?

Yesterday someone placed an order and immediately asked to cancel it so I suppose I am seeing that too i

I have a buyer who, every time she wants to ask me something, purchases an order. I’m not even kidding here. I have explained to her, several times, that she can simply DM me. To no avail.

So, yes… 😃

Well you can always deliver the answer and prompt them to submit a review!

Maybe an “I will answer Tom’s questions” gig is in order (replace Tom with buyers name)

🙂

I have a similar buyer to that one of yours. Places orders to get me to talk to him. For a year. When I get him to mutually cancel he will immediately place another one.

Another confirmation as Frank’s

Hi buddies just a moment ago I contacted fiverr support team with the following message.

Hope you people are having great time. I am facing an issue with my orders completed ratio. I just saw that my orders completed ratio suddenly fall down to 85% which is incorrect only 3 orders are cancelled in my fiverr history and according to analytics the cancellation ratio is just 2% so the orders completed ratio should be 98%. But i see its suddenly fall down to 85% which isn’t correct.

Hi,Thank you for getting in touch with us. Due to a recent update, the Order Completion Rate you are currently seeing is the correct rate from the last 60 days. The rate also includes all cancellations, and now including mutual cancellations. I understand that this might be a bit of a shock, but please keep in mind that these stats you are seeing on your account is for your internal use only, and no one else sees these ratings. It’s to help you track your account progress on orders and account. If you have any questions, please let us know.

This is great news. Thanks to everyone contributing their information on this post. I think it helped everyone stay calm and understand what is happening!

Yes and make strategy for the future as well. 😉

So the big question is this:

Does the order completion rate affect where our gigs are positioned or our rank or impressions we are given?

Based on the responses above, I don’t believe this will affect your ranking.

Maybe, though seeing that before mutual cancellations didn´t affect that rate and now suddenly without announcing it it does, of course if it does or doesn´t affect the ranking could suddenly and without announcing it, change too, and unlike the dropped percentage, we’d not really be likely to know it. Well, at least now we know it´s not a bug and we know that probably everyone is going to suffer from it sooner or later, the only way to not lose percents even if you do everything right, obviously is to do nothing at all. 😉

I guess it´s time to work on DAU-ing gigs as much as possible to at least prevent a few percents drop, but there´s quite a few things one can´t really do much or anything about.

If this is what it takes to make our gigs drop in rank, then it is open season for competitors to

order and cancel repeatedly.

Well may be but a good strategy can handle this problem. Like creating a counter set of questions make your self crystal clear on the requirement also forced buyer to put everything needed and the desired end product can help us. so if they want to cancel the order than we can contact fiverr support to handle the issue.

I would take the words of Customer Support about “MUTUAL CANCELLATIONS NOT AFFECTING GIGS” with a grain of salt, because they are seldom told the COMPLETE fact about a major change in the algorithm.

There’s a ton of reason for them to NOT be notified. First of which is to minimize mass panic.

Do remember everyone, about the 2017 Mutual Cancellation policy.
(only 1 allowed, along with the statement “May affect gig ranking”)

I hate to be the BAD news Bear 🐻 here, but MC might start affecting gigs soon.

Since they are cracking down on cancellation of sales any which way.

p.s
And you really can never figure this out now, because thanks to the NO-KNOWLEDGE of the algorithm functionalities, you CANNOT verify this new update.

I just remembered recently a buyer ordered the wrong number of gig multiples for the wrong price, and cancelled and reordered the right amount before I even saw the wrong order, I just had a ‘Oh no, something went wrong with your order!’ mail which made me jump, so I had no cancellations all the time before and then 3 within a single month, and 2 of them by buyers’ accidents, one because I agreed to a buyer cancelling for no fault of mine, so, well, guess 94% or less is quick to get, depending on how many orders you get within 60 days and depending on the kinds of buyers you have, if they read your description and so on. If the bad news bear is right, that´s not only bad but sad news.
Going to meditate on this now or open a bottle of something or something 😉 Forget it, learn to ignore another less than 100% statistics for some or other buggy kind of reason and hope for the best as long as they say it doesn´t affect, I guess.

> Why is my Order Completion Rate important?
> Keeping a strong Order Completion rate is important because completing as many orders as possible is the way to gain revenue, build relationships with buyers, and grow your business. It is one way for you to track the quality of the service you’re providing on Fiverr, and can also be a factor that influences your Gig’s position in search rankings.

Anddddd I got one too 🙂

I’ve included links to a few items that might be helpful in understanding this feature better:

Same issue here also, Dropped to 86% without any justification. I think it’s a bug which they should fix it. It happen it before but i ignore it know it’s not fair to our fiverr community.

Read above. This is not a bug 🙂

@michael78781 @frank_d

What did I tell ya?

Watch the videos, they are slowing moving in to DROP ANY/ALL CANCELLATIONS by implementing affect of any type of cancellations.

oh laaawwwwwddddd

yup.

oh lord’s right.

So, to sum up:

Things that are new but Fiverr chose not to announce:

-Prices on gigs will now be your standard package’s, not the absolute minimum

-Mutual cancellations now affect your order completion metric

-Order completion has no negative impact on sales/gig’s positioning etc

-Fiverr is using the hidden review system to crack down on poorly performing sellers.

Hide yo’ kids!

Yes,
I have seen this with my account. Today I cancelled an order by Mutual Cancellation. Before this my Order Completion ratio was 98% because only 3 orders are cancelled in my fiverr history. But today it changed to 87%. I think the fiverr has changed their policy and including mutual cancellations in this portion. I have also read included replies that are saying the same problem.

Thank you,
Sohail
