Internet & Technology

Huh?? I had no idea you were a computer expert on top of being a language expert!! 😉

totally offtopic  computers, internet&technology

Hey, why the wink-smilie, I love computers, I put additional RAM in my laptop, put in 2 SSDs instead of the one HDD, I’m the only woman I know personally who ever opened a laptop lol but I don´t know that many people personally 😉 Though in all seriousness, I even got a writing job on tech stuff offered by someone I translated such stuff for. I´m more for jobs that require translating things that are unmentionable on forums though. 😉

And spending too much on fiverr is a very sympathetic off-topic from seller’s side…

The question is aimed at gathering information on the type of users on the platform. No doubt this will be used to focus marketing into sectors where Fiverr is most used. I am all for a move towards more targeted marketing so I have no issue with them asking buyers questions like this. It would have been nice to know in advance but it doesn’t really affect us anyway.

As Miiila says, it can be ignored if users don’t want to respond to it.

As for the other points, the “Nudge, Nudge” thing is horrible, I have only used it once and never will again now that I know what it says.

The Resolution Center could do with some work too, I hate that it shows up as a bright red “dispute”.

My industry is spellcasting.

Others have the industry of dancing in grass skirts in the jungle.

My point is that the word industry implies that all gigs are about some type of industry

when many gigs are unique, or services that are not really an industry as the word is used

here.

It didn’t bother me too much until it started being glitchy for buyers. A recent buyer wasn’t able to proceed with submitting the instructions because she chose not to answer the industry question. Instead, she provided the information in a message. However, the instructions must be submitted for the order to officially begin. She kept on trying until it worked. That was definitely a hassle for her that will ultimately reflect poorly on me as a seller. 😦

Posting to bump and make it longer and hopefully more noticeable. Most obviously it

does affect some sellers,

and is annoying for some buyers

and should not negatively reflect on sellers as they didn’t do it,

and is glitchy on top of that according to the last post by Eva,

so it should follow the fate of the fate of the red dowmvotebutton and go, or be implemented in a better way.
